Affordable Lock & Key was good. They were very professional. They responded when they said they were going to show up. Their prices were a little high but it was okay. They're very fast. Whenever we had questions, he responded in a decent time.

On -time, very reasonable price, repaired the lock to wher it is better than it had been for several years

There is no story to tell. Technician only took apart my lock to find out what was broken. Lock was put back together and is still broke. They have not replaced my handle. 1-30-13 I purchased a new handleset for my front door and a keyed entry door knob for the door leading to the garage. Then called Affordable and asked them what they would charge for switching out just the handle on my handleset and the door knob replacement. Ryan, who answered the phone wasn't sure but thought for $98 I should be able to get both fixed. He gave me to the woman who schedules the service call. (Sorry, forgot her name.) I told her what I needed and she said she would have to ask for a price and that because I did not purchase the items from them the charge would be higher. After holding a few minutes she told me that the minimum charge would be $138. I told her that was a bit much and that I would call around. I just so happened to have read the January Angie List magazine and noticed Gary Long being profiled for his business, Integrity Security Services. He has over 100 A ratings. I gave him a call and he gave me his charges which were much more reasonable than Affordable's. He also does not charge more if you don't purchase the hardware from him. He came out and was able to FIX my handle latch. It just needed a roll pin. Needless to say I was thrilled with his service. I was able to return the $115 handleset to Lowes and did not need to worry about purchasing a dummy set to match. I'm going to do a separate review for Gary. The only thing I changed on this review is that I would not use Affordable again for two reasons. One, they are expensive and wouldn't work with me on the installation charges and two, Paul, the technician should have been able to fix my handleset.

It was very good. It was affordable, they were efficient and they got the job done.

See above. Basically, I needed keys to my front door. Visitors had previously run off with spares! It only became a problem when I was expecting additional visitors. I usually come and go through my garage!

I had a great experience with every member of Affordable’s staff. Jeff quickly came out to assess my situation and recommend products. Due to the unique nature of the job (installation took place in a 100 year old building), Ken came out to oversee a portion of the job to ensure that the work was done cleanly and met my expectations. Finally, Daniel performed the installation. Daniel worked incredibly hard to make sure that the system was properly installed in an incredibly clean and professional looking manner. I was incredibly impressed with his diligence and desire to get the job done right. Affordable also provided me with a great price for all of the labor and materials. I highly recommend Affordable Lock and Security Solutions entire team.

Our front door lock stopped working - made an appointment for someone to come out and look at it. Paul was on-time, polite, dismantled the lock, It was not repairable, so he replaced it with a deadbolt and handle.He was professional, competent, cleaned up perfectly and was a pleasure to work with.

I called to request someone come out to change out some deadbolts and doorknobs. I was told someone would come out within the next day or two. Three days later, no one showed up and I received no phone call. Furthermore, I was told over the phone their minimum service charge is $98, which is high. I went with another locksmith company who showed up within an hour of my call and charged me half the service charge that Affordable Lock and Security Solutions wanted.

I called several locksmiths on Angie's list and they all had the same price. Affordable came out within the hour. They installed new locks on my very old doors. The locks work much more smoothly then the old ones did. Great job

I went to the location on Florida Ave. to tell them what I wanted and set appointment. Daniel called the morning of the appointment to confirm the appointment and the mechanism that I wanted. He arrived on time with the necessary hardware and equipment. After installing the locking mechanism he went through its operation with me to make sure I understood how to set and reset the codes. He was very pleasant and helpful.

I needed all the locks changed at my fathers house. Chris from Affordable came out and did an excellent job. It is very difficult to deal with my dad and he was very professional in handling him and taking care of our lock situation quickly and courteously. I will most definitely use this company again.

Everything went well, except that I wasn't able to print out my coupon from Angie's List. However, I gave them the page printed out from my Angie's List page and they were willing to honor the 10% discount, which was great. The locks are fine but the mailbox lock is a bit difficult to use . I called the technician, Paul, and he said to try it for a few more days and if it doesn't work right that he will come out and replace it free of charge. So I am satisfied with that.

The plastic shell around my Lexus remote key broke, and I called the dealership to price a replacement. They wanted several hundred dollars just for the plastic shell! So I bought one online for $10. Since the shell contains the key shaft, it had to be cut to fit my car. The dealership said they wouldn't cut it because "cheap keys break our bits". Arrrgh! So I found out that Affordable Security did car keys, had them cut the key, and it works great! It took them a few times fitting and fine-tuning the cut to get it right, but I'm glad they checked it before sending me on my way - saved me the hassle of having to come back. Their price of $60-$70 seems steep, but it's definitely better than letting the dealership gouge me!

Called from Pinellas asked that technician meet me at family home in Tampa. I asked if the address was in the service area of the company and was assured that it was. Technician arrived right on time, was very efficient and polite, completed his work in approximately 45 minutes. Because of difficulty with an elderly relative, I hurriedly paid the technician without discussing the bill. Once I had the opportunity to examine the bill I was very surprised to see a $55.00 "trip" fee. I called the next day and requested a call back from the company owner. I received a call back from the owner who insisted that all locksmiths made such a charge. I have used a locksmith in Pinellas within the past year and have not experienced such a charge. I think the work was excellent and the owner behaved responsibly. However, in the future, I would ask if a special trip charge was incurred within their service area.

It went very well. After a minor glitch in scheduling (their GPS didn't recognize our street), their staff worked quickly and efficiently to get the job done while we waited. They made sure the job was done to our satisfaction before our credit card was charged and we went about our business.

I was very pleased with the quick turn around time to get a service tech out to fix the lock. Mark was the service tech who came out & he explained everything that he was doing, why it was better to have this new lock installed instead of trying to fix the old one & made sure all my questions were answered.

GAVE SAFE SPECIFICATIONS TO THE COMPANY AND GOT AN ESTIMATE OF $150 TO COMPLETE THE MOVE. WHEN THE OWNER SHOWED UP TO DO THE MOVE, HE SAID THE PRICE WOULD BE $350. HE SAID THE ESTIMATE WAS WRONG. WE GOT HIM TO AGREE TO ACCEPT $250 FOR THE JOB. THE SAFE GOT SEVERAL SCRATCHES DURING THE MOVE AND WE HAD TO HELP THEM MOVE THE SAFE.
