The install went fast and employees were courteous and professional, but when I tried to use the price match guarantee with the owner and gave him everything he had asked for, he kept changing what was needed and added everything from warrantees that are covered by the Bryant system as his own to a "duct fogging" service that was not done since I was their the whole time. If the other companies do the same and are not listed on the quote (and his were not as well) he says it's not "apples to apples"

ACS sent out 2 installers on Jan 3 who were courteous and hard working. They even left my garage neater than they found it! Everything in the system worked the first time. And, less than a week later, I received a letter from ACS with all the information (including permits) needed to schedule a final inspection. Overall, I could not be more pleased.
Description of Work: I had a 20 year old gas furnace and a 12 year old AC system in a house that I bought in March 2016. I called to get bids on a new system. ACS was one of the bidders. ACS was very prompt in responding and offered a rather good price because I was going to get it down over Christmas and they needed to keep their installers busy. They did say that the good price was only good for 1 week. As a businessman, I had no problem with that. I received 3 bids and it came down to ACS and 1 other vendor. Both offered similar systems. I called ACS on Dec 29 and told them I needed a lower bid and specified the range. They came back with a lower bid on Jan 2 and I told them I would go with them if they could install in 1 or 2 days.

I had what looked like mold in my AC for my upstairs bedrooms. We all sleep there so I had a couple AC companies give me prices on cleanings. ACS was not the cheapest option, but very satisfied with their work. I will use them again in the future.

My ac system was not cooling so I called ACS to come out and service the system. I ended up needing several parts and it just made sense to replace the system with a new more efficient one. The technician explained everything in a way that made sense to me since I don't really know about ac systems. The entire experience was good from start to finish. I am very happy with the install. They came out the next day and finished the entire job. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing service on their ac system.

I had a great experience with ACS Home Services. I needed a new air conditioner so I decided to call a local AC company. I found one that also happened to be the one my neighbor recommended. I had a technician out to give me some info. This technician was extremely professional and kept focus on what I needed even if what I wanted did not match. He found the best solution and the best products for my home and my family. I will gladly do business with this company moving forward and recommend them to all my family members.

This is the WORST EXPERIENCE I have had with ANY service provider, EVER. And I've been a homeowner in several states for over 30 years. Do not allow this company in to your home. Check their Better Business Bureau complaint history and you'll see that others have had experiences similar to mine. This is not an isolated complaint--it is a pattern of misconduct. If you have an AHS Home Warranty, you are better off calling another air conditioning contractor to diagnose your problem first. Here's why. In mid-2013, ACS came out on a warranty call to find the source of water leaking from my attic air handler. The guy they sent acknowledged that he was more of a salesman than a repair tech, but he told me my drain line was clogged and my coils needed cleaning. I also needed freon, he said. But he spent most of his time trying to sell me a $2,000 UV light system to address "organic growth" in my unit. I declined. About $500 in non-warranty maintenance and freon later, he left. Two days later, my system leaked again. This time they sent an actual technician who blew out the drain line. Problem solved...or so I thought. A few months later, my leak came back. This time, I called my own AC contractor. He found a crack in my main drain pan. I then called for AHS warranty service, and they again dispatched ACS. They couldn't find this problem, but again wanted to sell me stuff. Finally I told them what the problem was. They came back to replace the cracked drain pan the following week (Jan., 2015). Their tech went thru the system and noted adding so little freon to the system that he didn't charge me for it. Because it was cold in January, I didn't run the air conditioning. The first time i turned it on, in March, guess what? I had a water leak in the same spot as before, and now it was much worse. I called AHS warranty, who once again dispatched ACS. This time their technician suggested replacing the entire system at a cost of $7,000 (for an off-brand 13 SEER system! What a ripoff). He said my leak was caused by icing which occurred because my freon level was very low. My freon level was low, he said, because I had a bad Schrader valve. Runoff from this icing problem, he said, was producing more water than the drain system could handle. But he also thought the drain pipe in the attic was brittle or cracked, and said he would write that up for replacement under the warranty. All this, as it later turned out, was complete BS. So he "fixed" the "bad" valve, sealed the system, and then charged the system with TEN POUNDS of freon. Cost: $700, not covered by warranty. He said not to run the system for at least 48 hours so the seal could set. I waited 4 days to run the system. Within an hour of turning it on, I had a leak in the same place, just as bad as before. I called ACS back. This time a different tech went in my attic for literally 10 seconds, then called me up to look. He pointed out that the drain pipe was actually DISCONNECTED and OPEN...which I could see with his flashlight from 10 feet away. And it was disconnected in the same area where ACS' previous tech had replaced the drain pan. (I took pictures). This tech simply reattached the drain line and glued it. I've had no problems since. It was clear that the tech who tried to sell me a $7,000 replacement system and who determined the drain line was "brittle or cracked" could not possibly have even looked at it. Otherwise he would have easily seen the same thing I did: It was disconnected and pouring water directly into the attic. Further, I later confirmed with AHS warranty company that ACS had never even called them for authorization to fix the allegedly brittle or cracked PVC. I contacted ACS's owner, Matthew McClellan, on March 15. After a very long conversation in which he attempted to defend the tech, Matthew, who had missed the open drain line, and explain why it was appropriate to see me a new system. I told McClellan that I strongly suspected that no freon had even been added to my system, since his own tech checked it just 6 weeks earlier and it was fine. After much back and forth, he very reluctantly agreed to refund me $300 of the $800 I paid (rather than the entire amount, as I requested). That's $100 for a repeat service call through AHS, which I shouldn't have been charged in the first place, plus $200 towards the freon I don't think I ever really got. He promised to get back to me the following Monday with a release and a check. I have not heard from him since. ACS is not "Accountable" and they do not provide "Solutions."

DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY - they are one of the biggest con artists we've ever encountered!! Tim who came out to diagnose the problem went up in our attic and came back down saying that we had a rat problem and that they had eaten into the duct work and brought us pictures of rat turds & urine around our handler in the attic and brought showed us two different estimates to disinfect our duct work, repair duct work and many other things - one estimate was about $1400 and the other more extensive one was over $2000. When he asked "how soon we were considering having this work done" - I answered NEVER quite firmly but then asked him for the estimates in case we changed our minds. He very smugly put the estimates under other paperwork and then as he had hoped, I'm sure, we forgot to ask him for them. He obviously didn't want us to have evidence of their fraudulent activity. I called our pest control person (Pest Control Solutions) immediately (have used him for over 10 years) and he said right away that we didn't have rats in the attic but sent a technician out who saw no other rat droppings except around the air handler (proving that the A/C guy planted the rat turds and urine) but to be sure he set traps for a week and a half and absolutely NO ACTIVITY. There was NO DAMAGE WHATSOEVER to our ductwork! Tim also said that our UV light was out and that ballast would need replacing and that he even got "shocked" when inspecting it - ANOTHER SCARE TACTIC!!! Later that day a gal by the name of Katy called and the Caller ID said "Private Caller" to ask if we had any questions and I told her no and that I didn't appreciate their "up-selling tactic" and she said she didn't know about that & I told her she was WELL aware of iit and I even mentioned Angie's List's bad reports and she didn't deny it. Later, another "Private Caller" cam in and it was an Alex from the company who wanted to schedule the fan installation the following Monday. I asked him why his caller ID said Private or unknown Caller and he claimed to be shocked and said it was probably why no one was answering his phone calls and he was going to talk to his manager - Oh SURE! Both callers knew about the Private caller ID thing and both are just trying to make a living working for a very irreputable and unscrupulous company! They are not accredited with the BBB at all - that's how I figured out that this company on Angie's List was the same that First American referred us to. Their local phone number is not listed on Angie's List as it SHOULD BE but it's (407) 219-9750! DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU LIKE GETTING RIPPED OFF AND PREYED ON WITH UNDERHANDED AND IRREPUTABLE PRACTICES!!! This company should not be allowed to be in business!!!
Description of Work: They were assigned to us by First American Home Warranty company to figure out noise coming from our heat pump. Tim, who came out to diagnose the problem said that the fan motor bearings were going and they replaced the fan. But not before trying to RIP US OFF ROYALLY!! The $60 cost was our deductible with First American Home Warranty Company.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! I see a pattern here. I too was sent this company by American Home Shield, and the technician sold me the same line of "I can fix it, but it'll take American Home Shield a couple of weeks to ok it and I don't even know if that'll work, or you can just replace the unit since it's dying anyway." When I asked for pricing, he quoted me $10,000 for a 13 SEER system, saying that it was way better than my current 12 year old system and would thus reduce my energy costs. When I said that price seemed high, he then said that American Home Shield would take care of a good chunk of the bill (turned out to be $1500) and that they'll price match if I can get another A/C company to come in and do a quote on a similar unit, but that $10,000 "was a fair price." I ok'd the job, thinking that I can get another A/C guy (who I couldn't use because I went through American Home Shield) to quote me much less and get the price match. A few days later, I get another company to come in and quote me $5,500 for the unit I just had installed. When I sent the quote over to ACS, the manager said it didn't apply because it wasn't an "apples to apples" comparison, when in fact it was the SAME EXACT UNIT. So why wasn't it an "apples to apples" comparison? Because it didn't have ACS's "guarantee." How much does a "guarantee" cost? Apparently $3,000. Oh yeah, and their "price match guarantee" is only good for two weeks. So you bet they kept stalling, asking for this invoice or that phone number, for two weeks. When the two weeks were up, they literally told me "sorry your time's up, there's nothing we can do." Oh, and American Home Shield? Yeah, they basically told me it wasn't their fault and that it was MY FAULT for trusting the company THEY sent out. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!

I thanked them for their service and called for a second opinion. The second company said my AC unit had no mold but was dirty and just needed a cleaning for $214. Accountable Climate Solutions almost cost me $1592 for a problem that I do not have. I will never use them again!
Description of Work: I called American Home Shield home warrantee because I was concerned my ac was not working properly. Accountable Climate Solutions called me within hours and scheduled an appointment with their technician for the following day. When he arrived he proceeded to tell me my AC system was riddled with mold and that would need to be cleaned, sterilized and a UV light installed. However, my warrantee did not cover it so ACS would charge me $1592 directly to fix the problem or I could install a completely new system that would cost $5k or so.

DON'T USE THIS COMPANY! I went online with American Home Shield to place a service request to fix my air conditioner. Accountable Climate Solutions called me about an hour or so after I placed the service request. They arrived at my house later in the afternoon several hours later. The gentlemen they sent was named Anthony. He is a liar and a con man! He tried to tell me that my system was way out of date and that it was beyond repair and that I would need a new compressor and it may take as long as a week to get the parts. He then tried to tell me that I needed to buy a whole new system. He told me that it would cost almost $3,000 to repair or I could go with their economy system that was about $7,000 or I could go with their deluxe system that was about $8,500. He also had the nerve to call me "no spring chicken"! He then took some of my information and went to check my credit to see if I would be authorized to get a payment plan. (I later found out that he submitted me for a credit card without my permission. It showed up in the mail about 4 or 5 days later and I had to cancel it.) While he was doing this, I called my father who is in the home repair industry and he told me that they were charging way too much and that I should be careful and get a second opinion/estimate from another company. When he came back into the house, I told him that I did not want to do any of the options that he laid out and that I would need to get a second or third estimate on getting the air conditioner repaired. He said ok and I tried to follow him out to the garage where the air conditioning unit was and he said it would take a few minutes and he had to clean up his things and he would be right back. He clearly didn't want me to follow him out. I waited inside and he came back a few minutes later and said that he had talked with American Home Shield and they recommended replacing a part on the compressor to see if it fixed it. He said he thought it was a long shot but that he was going to try it. It worked! I would never recommend this company. If they send their repairmen out to try to force people to make sales on something that people don't need then they are not reputable in my book. I even told the guy right before he checked the problem that I had just retired from the military after 21 years and was looking for a job and couldn't afford to spend much right now and he still tried to take me for as much as he could. Not what I would say is a very military friendly company either! Beware!

This gentleman came out and saw that a lot of work needed to be done. He was very thorough and made sure every part was done properly. He replaced an air compressor, put in a new battery and explained everything to me. He was very personable. He also took out a machine that made sure there was no moisture in the line. He also took out tools to make sure openings on the pipes were PERFECT whereas most companies would just put them together & soder it without even checking. He really took his time & did a lot of work that not many people would have done. He truly takes pride in his work. That is very rare to find anymore. He did phenomenal work.

I had another company and they came out as part of the warranty. The repair guy and his everything was available for generator. My husband and I have decided that if something major is going on the unit, we were going to replace the whole unit so basically with another company, we're going to have to wait 6 weeks for a part which was ridiculous. Since we purchased the house in Florida and it's like, "Hey! You can't have air conditioning for 6 months so you're going to have holes" so we went ahead and replaced the whole entire unit. They gave us a fair price for a good system so they were able to do it quickly. The punctuality was great it's just that they were supposed to call when they were done to lock the house up and nobody called. When I called the phone number I had, nobody returned my call so I had to call my care taker like 11 o'clock at night to lock the house up because nobody called and nobody returned my call earlier in the evening so that was quite annoying, the communication was bad. When I checked them, everything was fine they said, "It would be another hour and we'll call you when we're done" and nobody called so that was a little frustrating. We're running another stuff in line but his office was warm and I asked the invoice ahead of time because he showed me my credit card and I asked several times and then he emailed me. The guy said in the email, "I'm going to do it, I'm going to do it, I'm going to do it" and it took several days to get that invoice.
