I called my usual screen guy to do some re-screening of several windows. He quoted $30-40 per screen. I thought that was too high, and he recommended that I take them to Accurate Window and Screen. I got all 10 screens remade for $175 (it would have been a little less just to re-screen them). The prices were very reasonable, and I picked the screens up in only 2 days, saving a lot of money (10 re-screens only would have been $300-$400 by the guy I use that usually comes out to my house).

Except for the initial delay, the measurements were taken and the door installed within 10 days

Called Accurate Window & Screen after a terrible experience with Reliable Screen (I find that most companies who have to call themselves "reliable" or "superior" are generally the opposite!). Reliable screens (Tom Pooler, owner) failed miserably at making the window screens and charged twice as much as the fine people at Accurate Window & Screen. While Reliable did shoddy work which had to be removed (they built the screens so that there was a "bow" in each screen, leaving a gap of 1/8 to 1/4" which I could put my fingers through...not exactly "bug proof" or "reliable"!!), when that fiasco was over, my wife found Accurate Window & Screen on Angie's List. This family-owned company was more than fair with their pricing and display superb craftsmanship. They came out within two days (based on our "distress" call after having dealt with "Realiable Screen" owner Tom Pooler having hung up on me when I asked HIM to come out and make the screens correctly), measured all the windows and took those measurements back to their workshop, where they created truly custom window screens. Perfectly square with tabs and springs in the right places, and zero gaps or bowing. In other words, the did what Reliable Screen could not or would not do..and that was to make 5 custom screens that actually fit the window with no gaps, kinks, etc.. and to have all the screens straight and true. The fine people at Accurate Window & Screen were professional, displayed "old world craftsmanship", gave us a variety of screen options, and never varied from their price. Quite simply, they did what they promised, when the promised, and did it with great skill, for the promised price. Now all of our windows have screens, so we can take full advantage of the cool fall evenings...without the bugs that the other company's so-called custom screens let into our house due to poor workmanship and plain laziness. No drama, no mess, no disgruntled employees about to be fired but given one last chance on our home ("Reliable Screen" displayed all of these negative traits) Accurate Window & Screen takes ownership of the job from the moment you call, and from our experience, there's no need to call back after the work is done...because they DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME ! We will nominate Accurate Window & Screen as a "Place of Happiness".

He replaced 20 panes of plastic in my windows. Before I found him, I couldn't even find anyone to come look at them. He was very nice, very accommodating, and true to his word.

He said it was too far to drive because that's when the gas prices were high. He is in St. Petersburg and I'm in Tampa.

Mr Hines promptly came to give me an estimate. Took window guides (3 different sizes) and window screens (3 different sizes) Gave me a sample of screen material & frame, also told me new frames would have spring cups to lock screen in place. (These were missing on my screens). He checked and lubricated all my windows. Within 1 week my new screens were installed & my window repaired. Work looked great!

I needed a screen and was surprised to find a place very close that made them. They also have parts for old screens in old houses.

I WAS A LITTLE DISAPPOINTED IN THE COST. ONCE THE JOB WAS COMPLETED, I ENDED UP OWING A LITTLE MORE THAN I HAD ANTICIPATED-THE TAX WASN'T INCLUDED IN THE INITIAL ESTIMATE. THEY WERE A LITTLE MESSY (WHICH IS USUALLY ALWAYS THE CASE WHEN YOU HAVE SOME TYPE OF WORK DONE INSIDE THE HOUSE) BUT OTHERWISE VERY PROFESSIONAL.
