We are very satisfied with Accu Tech's 4-pt inspection and inspection for wind mitigation and roof condition of our property. We had had another company do the general inspection and 4-pt inspection and got a report that our insurance company found had the wrong year the house was built and the wrong date the roof was replaced, which would have affected our insurance premium. So we went with Accu-Tech for the rest of our needed inspections for about half the price the other company was going to charge. The first company charged a competitive price for the general inspection and 4-pt inspection, but when they sent the report they informed us that if we wanted the rest of the paperwork filled out for the wind mitigation and roof condition, it was going to cost more. And their "more" pricing was double what Accu-Tech was charging. When the workman of the first company showed up in a $75,000 over-the-top auto to do an inspection, you do wonder about the pricing and how dirty he was going to get to do a thorough inspection. Although we had already had the 4-pt inspection done by the first company, Randy Dean added the the 4 -pt inspection for free along with the wind mitigation and roof condition inspections, because he said the insurance company likes when these inspections come from one company. As I said I didn't have Randy do the initial general home inspection, but for the 4-pt, wind mitigation, and roof condition, he did a first-rate job, offering good pricing and more than we expected.
Description of Work: Randy Dean did a 4 pt, wind mitigation, and roof condition inspection that we needed for the insurance company.

Please see above. We bought a money pit.....Not a good overall experience.
Description of Work: We hired this company for a home inspection per the advice of our realtor (Elizabeth Masky). A big mistake for us!!! The realtor was present during the inspection (another red flag). The inspector noted many minor items but missed the most important. The house was improperly graded, the gutter had holes, and there is an inadequate elevation differential on the patio. The patio and floor grade are at the same elevation. The grading and elevation issues are obvious and every contractor and handyman that we have had on the property since has noticed the issue. The inspector did not perform any moisture tests or inspect the home for possible points of water entry. The previous homeowners did not disclose that water had previously entered the home. We relied on the report of the inspector in choosing to purchase the home. We had the home reinspected and new inspector immediately noticed the issues right away. We were advised that any properly trained inspector should have noticed the grade and slope of the patio. We are now having to spend a great deal of money installing drainage on the property. Needless to say, we are seeking legal advice as to how to recoup these losses.

I see a truck pull up in my driveway and sit for approx 10 minutes until I walked out of my house and to see who was in the truck. Randy rolled down his window and says I'm here to do your inspection and then asked for a $70 check. I walk back in the house, write the check, then walk back out to hand it to Randy all while he was still sitting in the truck. The guy never even bothered to get out of the truck for the inspection or thank me in anyway. I'll never forget this guy or do business with him again.
