I SIMPLY WOULD NOT USE THEM. I EVEN RECEIVED A CALL FROM THE CONCRETE COMPANY THAT THEY WERE GOING TO PUT A LIEN ON MY PROPERTY BECAUSE THE CONCRETE HADN'T BEEN PAID FOR DESPITE THE FACT I HAD BEEN PAYING THE CONTRACTOR. IT WAS EVENTUALLY PAID BY THE CONTRACTOR.
Description of Work: I CONTRACTED AT $7400 TO HAVE A GLASS ROOM BUILT. IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE COMPLETED WITHIN 30 DAYS. IT WASN'T BEGUN WITHIN THE 30 DAYS AND DRUG OUT FOR SEVERAL MONTHS. WHEN 'FINISHED' THE ROOM LEAKED AND THE WORKMANSHIP WAS POOR. WHEN I COMPLAINED, I WAS TREATED RUDELY AND RECEIVED VERY POOR RESPONSE. DESPITE SEVERAL ATTEMPTS, THE CONTRACTOR WAS NOT ABLE TO SEAL THE ROOM. I DID NOT PAY THE LAST THIRD OF THE CONTRACT PRICE TO THE CONTRACTOR AS I HAD TO USE IT TO GET SOMEONE ELSE TO FIX THE ROOM.

Response from ABC Aluminum Building Concepts
This contracted project goes back to 2001. We did respond and the county also forced me to respond quickly. Member has not contacted myself or the county in almost a year. As she stated she did not pay fully and used the balance to get someone else to do the work. PER COUNTY-2002-Recd complaint affidavit alleging inferior construction of glass room. Room leaks, seeps water & concrete slab cracking. Chief Bldg. Insp. researched & found no footer & slab is required for this glass room so there is no violation at this time. Company told county he would schedule his crew to come out & seal areas that leak (ceiling, floor, over door, etc.). Member wanted to consult w/ structural engineer regarding the foundation of glass room before allowing co. to make any corrections. 2003-County recd nothing from member regarding any engineer report about the foundation. Areas of leaking were corrected. 2004-No footer & slab was required at the time of being built & leaking corrected. County closed case.

Description of Work: He put the pan roof in improperly where it hooks to the overhang of the house. Its leaking.The work is supposedly guaranteed but he isnt standng by it and now I have inspectors on it and they wrote him up for several violations..
