+ -1 moreWork went very well. Jim is obviously a very skilled arborist, climbing in the tree and narrowing in on the areas needing removal. Work was completed and debris completely removed and hauled away. He also advised on further possible issues with the tree.
Description of Work: After hurricane Irma, we needed two branches out of place removed from a large tree close to our house. Jim Fikes responded in a day to inspect it and identified several other problem spots on the tree. Jim did the work four days later

Description of Work: A Cut Above trimmed 2 palm trees in my yard. I called for estimate, Jim stopped by and gave me an estimate within a couple days, he beat the 2 other companies that I called. I had to wait approx. 2weeks for their schedule to open up to get the service, but I was kept updated by phone. They did an excellent job, and cleaned up all debris. I was very satisfied with the quality of the work done.

+ 1 moreHe's very good at what he does. He knew what he was doing. I have some knowledge of horticulture, and was very surprised by how much he did know. He went above and beyond, and he made the yard look spectacular. He is a true artist. He was very fair. I will use him again at my new home.

+ -1 moreI highly recommend Jimmy and Gene. They are very customer service oriented, offer affordable, reasonable prices, and are nice guys. His business card does not list his address (don't know whether it's the Hoover St. address listed by Angie's List) but his phone number is 813-841-8919.
Description of Work: I needed two trees removed from our back yard (residential). I got Jimmy's number from a commercial tree service, called him and told him what we needed. He showed up at the designated time, gave me an estimate which I thought was reasonable. We scheduled a time for the work to be done. Again Jimmy showed up on time with another man (Gene), they began work. They were very meticulous. There are two sprinkler heads around the area where they were working and they paid special attention not to disturb those. They worked hard, carried all the debris to the truck, leaving the site clean. They encountered a problem digging the root out of one tree which took them longer than anticipated but did not complain, and did not charge us more. I asked if they could trim/top a couple other trees and they said they had another appointment but would come back. Honestly I didn't expect to see them again because they completed the original work order. However, they came back in a few hours and completed more work and actually voluntarily trimmed some bushes that they thought they could make look better -- without asking for more money.
