#1 Advanced Water Treatment

BUYER BEWARE! We signed up to get a water softener 2 years ago ('22) from #1 Advanced Water Treatment. Everything went smoothly the machine worked great, and now it's beeping saying we need tech support. We called and were told it was a filter and would cost $650 to replace. I have never heard of anyone having to get the filter replaced within 2 years. When looking online most filters cost between $30-$50 and most service calls are only $150. The problem is, this company sells you a system that only they can service. There are no manuals online on how to fix anything yourself and other plumbers or repair men have never seen this system before. To top it off there is no serial number or anything to help identify the system. So the company has made it so they can only fix it and charge you whatever they want too. This is extortion! I do NOT recommend this company under any circumstances unless you like to over pay. And when you do agree to be a sucker and for them to fix it they tell you when they will be there and then never show. It's been 2 months and I still haven't had anyone show up yet. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

We live in Pasco county on well water full of iron and noxious odors. We met Mike and his company at a home show and were impressed with his Iron Boss filtration system and later his reverse osmosis for drinkable tap water. That was FIVE years ago and we are still as happy with the products and services as the day we bought them. Mike and his team take care of all installation cleanly and efficiently and perform the yearly maintenance for us with no muss or fuss. He has helped us with simple things over the phone without requiring a service call and has always been friendly, professional and reasonably priced. We are so happy we went with Mike and his products. We have no more iron, no more smell and feel confident drinking from the Osmosis Tap. #1 Advanced Water Treatment has been our goto company for all our water related treatments.

We now live in a home with well water. Unfortunately, we didn't know better of what to expect when moving in. We had initially hired another provider (see my other reviews)... After a few weeks and thousands of dollars spent with no success in removing the sulfur smell from our home, we stopped the original provider from continuing to provide us "solutions" and decided to start from the beginning again. We had a couple of different water conditioning specialists visiting us and providing a water test. Needless to say that the original company didn't provide us with the needed system to treat our well water as supposed to. Mike came in on a Sunday afternoon. ONLY company in Tampa Bay that were even open to see us after hours or weekends. After walking through the house and water shed with us, he started testing the water. To be honest, at first he sounded too confident. I thought, maybe another sales rep only. I was wrong. Mike takes pride of his work, as he should. He was the one installing our new system and guarantying to us that our house would no longer smell like ****. I really appreciated his honesty statement about the original installation. Even though the well treatment was not adequate for our type of well water, he assured us the installation of water tank and water softener were properly done and we didn't have to purchase another new system. He came back on Thursday to install our new system. They stayed there over 8 hours working and testing the water before and after installation. Friday morning, for the first time since moving in, we were able to enjoy a sulfur free shower. It's amazing how much a non-treated well water affects your life. We've lost our faith in wells after the first vendor issues. We can finally enjoy our new home! I wanted to say thank you (again!) to Mike and his team for all their knowledge, hard work and for taking great care of our well water! (pictures of the new water equipment to follow)

Extremely pleased. Water Analysis reports were accurate - Our new home in eastern Hillsborough county had well water very high in iron and hardness. We immediately had stains showing up in sinks and plumbing fixtures. We also had concerns about microorganism contamination since one household member has a compromised immune system. We had the water tested by Michael Athas (the owner/CEO) of #1 Advanced Water Treatment Inc. It was clear to us from the first time we met Michael that he is passionate about quality water. He specializes in well water, not just city water and that was important to us. Evaluations we got from other companies were brief and seemed only interested in softening the water. Michael was well versed in EVERY water issue. He was attentive to all of our water concerns and patiently answered our questions, which were many. #1 Advanced Water Treatment Inc was an easy choice for us. We had all of our systems installed about two months ago and we absolutely LOVE our water. We have no rust stains or water spots which makes cleaning much easier. We opted for a UV light sterilization system so we are confident we are free of microorganisms and water borne bacteria. Lastly, we chose a reverse osmosis system for our kitchen and ice maker which makes great drinking water. After all systems were operational we submitted samples of our well water, softened water and reverse osmosis treated water to Ag and Environmental Services Lab at a university and received extensive official reports from each phase of the water treatments. Our son who is a chemist at the USDA also reviewed the results and gave his approval. Michael Athas #1 Advanced Water Treatment Inc. is serious about clean, quality water. On time and knows his material

This was one of the best investments I've made. The company was extremely professional, prompt and detailed in their work. They found out my needs and installed the system, not based in price, but based on what I needed. The price was fair and the system has performed extraordinarily. I strongly recommend this company and I still continue doing business with them for supplies and regular maintenance.

Michael (owner) came out and tested water for hardness at my request. We had met him at a home show at Tropicana Field. He was not the lowest priced system, but he was the most interested in answering all the questions I had regarding available systems. After his demonstration, we decided on a system and he was able to install that system on our schedule. After the system was installed, he explained what I needed to do to maintain the system. I will post more once we have a few weeks of use.

I was extremely pleased, he was here when he said he would be. He was even here when the plumbers installed to make sure everything was done to his liking. We were shopping for about a year and met him at the home show, we were searching the big names and felt he was very competitive in prices with them. I felt more comfortable with his sales pitch, he was very knowledgeable about the products on the market, and was not trying to over sell us. He followed up with a phone call to make sure that everything was working properly after the installation.
