Tallahassee Construction Co

Only had Steve in for an estimate. They had done work for us before and would have been happy to use again. Tallahassee Construction and the other estimates we got ( they were in middle) were all higher than our budget. Will be rethinking how to get some things done.

It was fine. The price was very high. It was well over $100,000. I presume they would have done good work. It was a very expensive job too. They were responsive. I had no reason to doubt that they would be a very good contractor to work with. I have never worked with them as such but the inspection and the proposal process was well done. They were prompt. They were thorough and competent. They were way high than the others.

The work took several weeks to complete in one of the hottest summers we have had in Tallahassee in the 18 years I have lived here. The crew was cordial, courteous and seemed to be quite knowledgeable in what they were doing. They recognized the need for more support structures and put them in. A major board that is a part of the side of the house was found to need replacing and they just did what it took. They were innovative in finding ways to bring my deck up to current standards without having to add significant cost to the project. The owner was quite helpful, making the process go easier for my wife and me. In another more recent event, my daughter's house (right around the corner from my house) had a plumbing leak in the wall that had resulted in some mildew. I called these guys back and had them take off the siding and coverings to replace the mildewed wood and so I could have a plumber fix the leak. Again, the work was efficient and professional. They even added an access to the workings of a spa type tub in the bathroom behind the repair area (to comply with current code). And they took very special efforts to insure that the paint used to repaint the area matched perfectly with the rest of the house.

They had to increase the height of the door opening. They were extremely responsive. I called them to get a bid and they were able to come out with in two days. I received the bid the next day. They took care of the permit and all of the details. They did excellent work and cleaned up well. They were just wonderful. I am very impressed with them and the quality of their work. It looks great and I have had no problems.
