3) We asked for the top of the line thermostat and since installation, we have had to replace it 4 times over the course of two years.
4) The A/C stopped working after one year and 10 months due to an air inlet valve that died in the compressor and needed replaced. ONE YEAR AND 10 MONTHS something needed to be replaced? If this issue seems strange, check out 6(a) below!
5) When we had our bathroom remodeled in July, 2011, ONE YEAR AND ONE MONTH AFTER INSTALLATION BY PARKER. Our contractor was very upset one day and told us that they found something disturbing regarding the A/C work that had been done. He said that the service tech from Parker never properly finished sealing the old duct when replacing the sole register now in the ceiling with a larger one. In addition, and much more dangerous, our contractor informed us that we did NOT pass the electrical inspection because the city inspector found "old wiring" from the electric water heater that Parker had replaced simply "jammed" in the wall in-between the insulation....which was clearly a fire hazard. Parker's installers should have removed the old wiring, and we are just fortunate that a fire didn't start due to these wires being left in our wall. To add insult to injury, we were required to hire an electrician to come out and finish the job that Parker should have done before we could pass our city inspection in the bathroom!
6) FINALLY, two years later our rooms that originally had little air flow continue to see no flow causing us to run fans continuously to keep cool. We called another long-standing A/C company to access our current home A/C system and all the work that Parker did and they found that:
a) Parker never flushed the line-set of R22 refrigerant and this has caused residue in the compressor which has shortened the compressor life. We were informed the damage is done and we can do nothing about that now.
b) Parker sold us a two-stage A/C with duct work that was not matched properly. The existing spider duct work is matched to a one-stage system, yet Parker SOLD US A TWO-STAGE COMPRESSOR that requires a different design. Bottom line is the air never makes it to the furthest end of the house and we were advised this, too, will shorten the compressor lifespan.
c) Because we have had so many serious issues, we are now having our entire electrical system inspected to assure us there are no other problems that could surface in the future.
Last, we will update the review after the electrical inspection is complete.
"If any company dose not make a profit it will not be a company for long. What about the cost of the truck the insurance the people that awnsered the phone the people that ordered the tstat and had it on the truck when they arrived. the fact that the system was working when we left. The cost of the schools and the training the 24 hour service some one to awnser the phones 24 hours aday 365 days a year. I know that You just can go on line and get all this for $44.00 You need to do that next time. And Im sure if you have a problem with warranty or if theirs another problem that Your internet can fix it and probably send You Money back. Also we were always up front with you about everthing we did and You did not Question any thing. You can by lots of things on the internet CHEAPER than some one can warehouse an retail it. We were up front with you. We gave you good profesional service If that is not what You expect, America is still afree country. Exercise that freedom and GOD BLESS you and GOD BLESS AMERICA."
