Be forewarned that this appears to be a "home-based business". When first called, I was afraid I had misdialed and politely asked, "I'm sorry, who am I speaking to?". I received a, less-than-polite, "WHO is THIS?" in reply. Once we got past that, the tone changed, so I went ahead and contracted with them. Be forewarned that even though the pricing seems to indicate that it is a flat fee for mounting a TV, you will receive individual, additional charges for things like concrete wall anchors. This installation was performed in the midst of our move into a new home and while other maintenance work and multiple deliveries (furniture, etc.) were going on. Needless to say, I had plenty of other things to manage/worry about and left the installer (Luke) to handle the installation of the TV. Even though I informed them of the exact type of install they would be doing, the installer did not arrive with the necessary items to perform the work. After requesting partial payment, the installer left to purchase the mount, extension cord, and concrete wall anchors needed to perform the work. He returned some time later to complete the install. Mounting a TV on a brick wall/fireplace is not rocket science, but I hired "professionals" because I wanted it done right and specifically because I wanted the wiring hidden as best as possible (covered with wiring raceway) without having to go through the brickwork and wall. The installer informed me that he would order some "raceway" that would better match the mortar color used with my bricks and return to install it later. Only after the installer left was I able to fully inspect the work and noticed that there had been absolutely NO cleanup done of the area where the install was performed. The area was covered with stripped wiring, dust and debris from the drilling of the brick and wooden bookshelf, and other installation-related debris. It would have taken 2 minutes with a shop-vac to clean it all up. Having to clean up the installer's mess after a hectic day of moving was a real let-down. Remember that mortor-colored raceway that was being ordered? I called the installer a month and a half later to find out where it was. I was informed that he had ordered it along with some CAT5 (network) cable and was waiting for it to come in. He defensively told me that it was a minor issue and not something he would try to "avoid". I told him I looked forward to hearing from him when he received the raceway and looked forward to seeing the job finally finished. It is now 10 weeks after the install and I haven't heard back from the installer. Rather than hounding the installer to complete the job, I think I'll simply submit my report in hopes of helping you avoid utter disappointment with this company.
Description of Work: I contracted to have a 42" Plasma TV mounted on a brick fireplace, the power cord extended, all cabling ran to a nearby bookshelf, and "raceway" installed to cover the cabling to make it more aesthetically pleasing.
