+ -1 moreThe delivery guy said he could not instal it because he could not get he old washer out. My 5 ft petit wife pulled it out 5 minutes after he left and they refused to turn around come back and instal it. They never called to set up a second appointment. We had to call them several days days later only to find out thay they came by without calling and no one was home (we work for a living and have to schedule time off to be at home during the week) it's been over two weeks since they returned the washer and they still have not accredited our account (514.15 total they till have of our money)

+ -1 moreThat was okay; it was a long wait. It was good but it took like two months before they showed up. It might be that Home Depot takes time to order the doors and everything else; I was just surprised that it took so long.

+ 0 moreI was really disappointed about that because the guy didn't level the dryer to be the same height as the washer. When I called back, they said I had to request that and since I had not requested it at the time and I had not noticed it at the time. But, I just thought that it should be -who wants their appliances to be at different levels? I was just disappointed that they didn't come back and level it. However, the store is close-by for convenience.
Description of Work: I had Home Depot put in a dryer.

cabinet refacing
+ -1 moreThe cabinets are beautiful, they're really good quality. I wasn't too happy with their installers. If there's a problem, he's really bad about coming back. I'm still trying to hold of him because two of the doors don't close properly.

+ -1 moreI contacted Home Depot for a total house siding replacement job in Septmeber of 2010 . A representative from Home Depot came and took the time to explain to me about the project at my home and from there I signed the contract. Home-Depot works with certified contractors to complete specific jobs. I guess they sub-contract? Anyways, I was thencontacted by Haber Remolding Inc. and from there my siding was "replaced". One thing I noticed that they did that made wish I had done a little more research was that they nailed the new Hardie board to my old siding. Haven't had a problem since, but I read that Jame Hardie suggests removing the old siding before applying the new Hardie Board. Seems pretty solid though, finished product looks good, the paint is supposed to hold for like 20 years plus because it is bakedin so I definitely like that. Also, I can't use two outside faucets because of the reside and the gutters retain a great amount of water even days after it has rained and have become a breeding ground for mosquitos, they were not angled correctly.

+ -1 moreWe finally got the door installed, but it was a HUGE pain in the butt. DON'T have Home Depot install your purchases. Hire someone else to do so.
Description of Work: I purchased a new front door at Home Depot and they convinced me to have them install the door. I'm very happy with the door itself, but the installation was horrible. I was given installation dates multiple times and they kept missing them. Worse, they never bothered to call and say they weren't showing up. I spent the first day taking off from work waiting for them to show up. I finally called and they told me it wasn't going to happen. After that I ALWAYS called the day before. The third time they confirmed that they would show up the next day and I informed my boss that I'd be taking the next day off. That morning I received a phone call saying that once again they had to reschedule.

+ -1 moreDisappointed in Home Depot, once they get your money, they don't care about satisfaction of customers.
Description of Work: Had a break in and had to replace patio door. Upgraded to french doors. Took about a month and half to get door in but actually ordering the door was extremely frustrating. First there was no one to help me. I had someone get sent out after 3 hours of waiting for someone to help me and no one showed up for work for installation for windows and doors. After returning to order the door since mine wasn't standard size, spent another 4 hours and repeating paging for someone to assist me. After someone finally showed up, argued with me that no one went out there and had to fight with guy with attitude about yes someone did. Apparently the person who requested someone to send someone out wasn't authorized to do so but manager said it was fine. After arguing I spent about 2 hours creating a door, come to find out the door measurements were wrong and the price since person creating the door wasn't aware of what he was doing. Had to return next day to order a door for another 2 hours of ordering a custom door. No one informed me about having a permit for installation. I know the code enforcement and inspector at the city and well looking into it, had to ask home depot if they pulled a permit and had to pay for it after paying for door which added $200 dollars more. Also when ordering the door, instead of purchasing the handles/locks at the time, guy mention to wait since installer will guide me through that purchase. When installation day came, I had to leave friend at the residences since the contactor installer advise the door handles/lock should of been purchased at the time I ordered the door. I was extremely frustrated because if I didn't run to get the locks/handles, I would of had to install them myself. Door was damaged during installation, when manager came out and saw that, his only concern was warranty was about up due to not painting it and was trying to avoid replacing it. I was frustrated again since building the custom door, requested it to have it prepainted so I wouldnt have the hassle of actually painting it. I became very frustrated with Home Depot because of the mistakes and errors they have made. Door hardware for locking mech for side windows already broke and hasnt quite been a year yet. Also installer had to come out 3 times due to door unable to open. Wouldn't recommend using home depot out all.

+ -1 moreAfter a very long process of ordering the door we wanted at Home Depot, the contractor coming to our house to install the door cancelled twice. Each time was a different excuse. The Home Depot people were not helpful at all after the initial sale and the contractor was sloppy and not very professional. After all of the problems getting this door installed, I would NEVER use Home Depot for anything like this again. If I did have to do it again, I may purchase the door at Home Depot if I couldn't find the door I wanted elsewhere, but I would contract someone else to install it.
Description of Work: We needed to replace the front door of our house. We shopped around and we found the style we liked at Home Depot. I contracted with them to install the door.

+ -1 moreThe person we dealt with is Lauren Hesse, Kitchen & Bath Designer. She is very personal, but does not know her business. The shipment came promptly, but three of the cabinets were the wrong size. I had my workman come and install the pieces that were right. We had to pay $1000 in trim to fix the problems. Home Depot sent a guy out to look at the problems. He took a few pictures and said he could not do the job since he did not install them. They would not refund my $100 that I paid to have the guy come out and do the job.
Description of Work: We purchased cabinets from them and they were to have them shipped to our house in Tampa.
