I've had numerous trees - large and small - removed from my property over the years, and I have used several tree services. This job, which involved removing two large water oaks and clearing a number of smaller trees and scrub, was the first time I used Dave Rankin. From start to finish, it was clear that this was a professional operation - far more so than any other service I had used before. Mr. Rankin arrived on time to provide an estimate and provided a thorough explanation of options and prices. He and his crew arrived on time and ready to work. They used a climber to bring down the trees, thus sparing my backyard (lawn, sprinkler system, and septic system) from potential damage from a bucket truck. The work was conducted efficiently and professionally, with very minimal damage to the lawn from falling tree branches and trunk - much less than I had experienced with other services. After removing the two large water oaks, the crew shifted quickly to clearing the smaller trees and scrub. All the debris was hauled, and cleanup was so thorough that there was little sign (other than missing trees) that anyone had worked on the property. Based on other estimates I had received for the job, the price was very reasonable. Based on the quality of work, I would hire these guys again even if they did not offer the lowest bid.
