Cable channels we watch regularly disappeared overnight. Customer service said that we'd been receiving the channels for 14 months by accident. We could have them back for a $30+ monthly cost to upgrade to the next level of service.

Description of Work: This is a company that has customer service representatives that do not want to solve a problem for the customer but will transfer you to someone else thereby "passing the buck" while you as the customer get to explain in detail to yet another rep what the issue is, all the while hoping for help and a solution. But it doesn't happen. You are in an awful loop of employees that delight in passing you to yet someone else. I finally terminated my services with Comcast after this happened consistently after a period of two weeks of trying to resolve a transfer of service to my new |address. I was sent an email confirmation with a telephone number that was "no longer in service." I was also given a number to a department that didn't exist--it was the billing department. All I can say is they are highly adept at being inept!

When my daughter moved into her first apt 2 years ago, she had Comcast there 4 times within the first few days! Not including the numerous phone calls! ( And they charged her every time they came to her apt!!!). Now she has moved to a new apt and when she called about having her service transferred, first they told her they didn't provide service in that area( which they do!) and then they told her that they couldn't transfer her service because the previous tenant had an unpaid bill and their service was turned off!! Really?!! What does that have to do with my daughter?! Then she went thru an online chat customer service and was told that her service would be transferred. Well, guess what Comcast? You dropped the ball again!! May be time for her to switch to CenturyLink!!!

Description of Work: Had trouble with internet cutting out. They had previously (last summer) changed the cable from the pole at the street to the side of the house and said that if that did not fix it (this was all I asked them to fix), to call back and they would check the cable in the attic. It did help with the TV and to some extent the internet but still the internet would just cut out. I decided to call to have them check out the attic cable and they came out in less than one week (they would have come the next day but I was unavailable). He said the cable in the attic was fine but that the cable I had going from the modem to the router was not adequate. He also fixed some connection at the side of the house, but I'm not sure what. I do know that my internet is working fine now.

After finally getting the tech to call on cell phone to make contact the tech was nice and professional and was able to restore power, but did not appreciate the stressful 30 hours being without service due to the ineffective call center because of a glitch that should not be happening as simple as attempting to make contact with a customer on a phone that is out of order then canceling their appointment.
Description of Work: Comcast has outsourced their call center to Asia. When the phone is out the tech calls the land line phone that is not working for verification that the customer to be there instead of calling the customer's cell phone. Of course there is no answer on the land line phone because that is why he is coming, to fix it, so, he cancelled the appointment...several times. Took over 30 hours and over 50 calls to the call center in Asia to get it right. Even though the cell number was given to the call center to make contact with the customer.

Installation took 5 hours. Technician never showed me how to operate the equipment before he left, although I figured it out. I requested a different installation type after I found out that my 2nd TV would not be able to FF/RW or view recorded TV. I haven't heard back from them in over a week.
Description of Work: Installed wi-fi and two TV boxes.

There have been problems with their boxes and services some times. We probably will not use them if we had another choice but we don’t have another choice. In terms of price, they are high but the price for the ability to choose what I want is reasonable. We haven’t had any real problems in the last year or two except for the equipment, which may not be their fault. When we get them on phone, they come but the problem is getting them.
Description of Work: We have Comcast Tallahassee for internet and cable TV. They last came out to replace the boxes, as they were not working.

It’s alright. I don’t have problem with programming or anything with the equipment. The prices are a little high though. I would recommend them. They showed up on time.
