It went very well. I lost heat during a very cold spell. The owner was in Japan at the time and left names for an emergency call. As well, James, the owner, called me several times from Japan to insure the problem got resolved and I had heat. That is going beyond the call of duty. I highly recommend Closed Loop Systems to anyone with this this type of heating/air conditioning!
Description of Work: The company replaced a pump fuse and adjusted the water pressure to my closed loop system.

They started when they said they would. 2 workers and the owner arrived and worked for about a week. Very considerate and did not mind me asking questions and observing the entire operation. Completed the job and it works. I am happy! The owner James came out several times and answered questions and helped me through other issues I had with the heat pump. Very professional and courteous.

A four ton heat pump was necessary for our house.Digging of the holes was done using a specialized machine and took about three days. The heat pump was ordered directly from the manufacturer and delivered to our home.An AC contractor (Snyder) came to remove the old heating/AC system and install the new heat pump. The removal and installation took a couple of weeks, but it was very cheap. The heat pump unit in the attic was installed hanged from the roof on six metal rods, to be very quiet. After installation James, the main guy from Closed Loop systems, came and verified the installation and used a powerful pump to remove air from the heat exchange system. It's been one year and a half since we had the heat pump installed and we can say that it works very well. It has multiple heating and fan stages and keeps the temperature exactly at the desired setting, unlike previous system that went one degree above and below. It is also very quiet, you can only hear it (barely) from one room of the whole house. My wife said having this heat pump installed was the best decision we made about our house. If I knew that the heat pump can also provide hot water, I wouldn't have installed a water heating solar panel before the heat pump. The electricity bill in the summer is about 90$ and in the winter is about 100$.
Description of Work: Geothermal heat pump installation. It involved digging about 15 holes in the ground, each about 80 feet deep and laying pipes inside the holes for heat exchange with the earth.

James (the person in charge at Closed Loop Systems) has 20+ years of experience installing geothermal heat pumps. Their hole digging went according to plan. After that Snyders came to install the unit, but took them a while until they got everything in order, since the old unit was too large and had to be disassembled for removal from the attic. James chose Snyders since they charged very little (1500$) for the unit installation. The entire bill was 16000$, only 2000$ more than Barrineau would have charged us for a top of the line Carrier heat pump with air heat exchanger (like an AC). The geothermal heat pump is much more energy efficient, it has 25 EER while the air-exchange one has 16 EER. James responded promptly to every concern we had, he was really motivated in doing a great job. Overall we are very satisfied with the job, our house is warm now and the electric bill in January was only 155$ as opposed to the January propane bill of 450$ one year ago.
Description of Work: We installed a top of the line two-stage 4 ton Envision geothermal heat pump by WaterFurnace. Closed Loop Systems dug the holes in the ground, installed the geothermal heat exchange pipes and ordered the unit. Snyders Heating and AC installed the unit and removed the old one. The unit was installed hanging from the roof to be more quiet.
