David handled the insurance paperwork, helped us choose a tile within our budget, and supervised the crew installing the floor. It took 2 days and looks beautiful.
Description of Work: Insurance claim to replace water-soaked laminate with tile. David at Carpet One made this disaster into an easy transition by handling the paperwork, answering a ton of questions, and then having his professional install a beautiful tile floor. We love it; the dogs love it and the cat meowed her approval.
They were quite efficient. The employees were very conscious about getting job done and keeping things clean. They did a very good job and I am happy with the job done. I have called them and probably working with them next week.
Description of Work: Carpet One did the carpeting and flooring for my house. They removed carpet, wood flooring, and tiles, and put new ones.

Initially, the sales person was great, however, it turned bad very quickly once the installation process started. Carpet One DOES NOT use experienced installers. They use "subcontractors" or what I would like to call your average handyman looking for a job with not a lot of experience. They moved and broke our furniture. They riped up the old flooring and in doing that, they put holes and cracks in our walls. They did not allow the new wood to acclimate properly and did not do proper moisture readings. The new wood was laid without being inspected and they did a horrible job of laying it down. We have gapping, uneven & loose boards, cracked wood, dents, scratches, and because they didn't do moisture readings the wood became damaged. It began crackling under the prefinish. It was a horrible experience with Carpet One. They attempted to lay the baseboard and quarter round in exchange for our broken furniture and didn't paint it, didn't putty the nails, and didn't even line it up evenly. They cut our closet doors at the bottom because the doors couldn't shut since they laid the wood uneven and now they no longer work. Carpet One did a subpar job and in the end, tried to blame the manufacturer. The manufacturer representative came out and did moisuture readings and looked at the wood; and pretty much gave us the impression it wasn't the wood, it was the installation! The owner also got involved and couldn't believe what he saw. The story could go on and on, but I'll stop here since you get the point... We are in the process of hiring someone else and having the floors riped out AGAIN and this time laid right. Don't use them and be very cautious about who these businesses use to lay their floors.
Description of Work: We hired Carpet One to replace our wood flooring with new wood flooring. They riped up and removed the old flooring and replaced it with new wood flooring. They also replaced the baseboard and quarter round.
