BOWDEN'S CARPET CLEANING

Both crews scheduled to arrive between 9-9:30 am. One carpet cleaner showed up. Cleaning initially appeared to be acceptable, but he did not move any piece of furniture to clean behind/under as other carpet cleaners do. I'm not complaining about large dressers, etc., but a couple of end tables and a floor lamp would have been reasonable. Carpet was left so saturated that it took over 2 days to dry with 4 ceiling fans and 2 oscillating fans going. Pressure wash crew (2) showed up over an hour late. Told me it would take about 1 1/2 hours. Took them almost 30 minutes to "set up" before they got going. They finished the back and I walked out to take a look, and they had completely skipped coming onto the porch thus leaving 1/3 of the back of the house not cleaned at all. Had to ask them to clean that and the porch. House is only 1600 sq. ft. and 2 1/2 hours later I had to leave them still cleaning driveway. When I returned I found areas of siding still dirty and grimy, though the gutters/eaves did clean up well. Tried to call office 3X and it kept going to voicemail, so I sent an email. It has been over a week and no response. All of them were polite, but perhaps need additional instruction. I believe one of the pressure washers did most of the work by himself, due to the other one not feeling well. With such a high local rating and experience, I expected a lot more than what I got for $300. Unfortunately, I can't see using them again.

I've used them for many years.

Took about three weeks to get the appointment, I called the day before to make sure all was in order since it was a rental house and not at my home. They did not show up, did not call, did not answer the two messages I left asking what had happened. Did not call the next day to explain. Pretty unprofessional and that's all I need to say.

They were on time and responsive. It looked very good when they finished but it seemed like some of the old stains came back after it dried. I probably would not use them again.

Great. The carpets still look and smell good three months later (complete with the usual high traffic and dogs). I will call Bowden's again for our carpet and tile cleaning.

It was okay; they did a good job. They did it by square footage. They were good. I ordered the service through Angie's List so I got a five percent discount.

He was punctual and did a fantastic job!

We came home from dinner to a flooded house!! I called a company and that company said they couldn't get out to extract water for 2 hours!! Called Bowden's. WHAT AN AMAZING CHOICE!!! They were out immediately! The owner, Marlon, spoke to me about what should be done (take pictures, call home owner insurance company, etc) He was extremely thorough and helpful through the whole process. In no time, additional works came to extract water and work on removing the carpet that could not be salvaged. They left with driers to dry everything out. He came back every day until everything was totally dry. We could not be any happier with the service they provided.

The service tech arrived 1/2 hr early, my husband explained we weren't dressed, could they return at proper time. No problem, they were back 1/2 hr later. Very professional. Did a great job with a smile. Will be using in future. So far carpets staying clean. Our dog had gotten sick on our master bedroom carpet. Shawn said he might not be able to get stain out. He did, can't see spot at all!

I The carpet turned out cleaner than I imagined it could. Lots of large stains removed. I was very pleased. The two men were very pleasant and friendly.

They did an excellent job! They were very professional.

I phoned and spoke with a woman who scheduled me to have carpets cleaned in a week. This was to be done on a property that I use as a rental. It was for 2 bedrooms, hallway and livingroom carpets to be cleaned. I drove over to the house early and waited approx. 1 hour past the scheduled time and then I phoned the company. I was told that they were running late and would be there as soon as they could. After another half hour I phoned again and she said she would phone and see where he was. Her carpet cleaner phoned me and said that the woman ahead of me had decided to add another room to her list while they were there. He actually said that he "couldn't just leave without doing the extra room." I explained that I had waited a week for my carpets to be cleaned and that this was very unprofessional. He said he was sorry I didn't understand but the he could " reschedule me." I said you should have scheduled her extra room for another time, and he hung up on me. I will never phone this company again and I tell everyone of this rudeness.

They were excellent all the way around.

This company was recommended to me by my broker. They left my carpets soaking wet and it took the carpets a day and a half to dry, which shouldn't have happened. They were also rude to deal with over this issue. I just let the carpets dry naturally. There was no damage done, but those carpets were wet for an entire day, and that has never happened before.

Due to equipment problems, they were late arriving but did call to let me know. Unfortunately two separate representatives were scheduled in error and both were late. The carpet was cleaned well but left very wet. It took two full days to dry even with fans running. The representative implied the vacuum in the truck didn't work correctly. He was pleasant but in a rush to catch up on his schedule.

I would rate them a 3 out of 5. I picked them out of yellow pages. My sister-in-law was the first person to use them as she as living here earlier and they gave her incorrect information. Their work did not last. I did not expect it to last that long, but they charged me extra for spot cleaning and did not really remove the spot. They were courteous. I probably will not use them in the future.

We use him really often because we have rental units. They are excellent. I would absolutely use them again.

The service tech did a great job getting the carpet clean, including most of the stains (some I knew would not come out!!). He arrived a little before promised, got right to work, and was done in less time than they had quoted. He was professional and pleasant and went out of his way to explain why the two stains would probably never come out. He has been working for this company for twelve years--which says something both about the company and the tech.
