Bartlett Tree Experts

Bartlett Tree did not have the project manager on site to direct the crew and they and provided an inadequate number of crew to handle the scope of work. When I pay a contractor $4,000 to do a job I expect the project manager to be on site to give direction... it is not my job to do so. If they can't provide that level of service something is wrong. The crew arrived without the project manager and I shut the project down and did not have to work done.

Requested quote, no call, no show. Did call the next day, but by then, we'd already selected a company.

We had a storm come through. We lost four trees in our backyard. They were one of the few that we could get to come and give us an estimate. They did really good work. The crew that came to my house was actually from Connecticut but it was still through Bartlett. We had four huge trees come down. He cut up and removed the trees that fell down. Hauled the wood away. That was one of the things I liked about them. Most of the companies here would just put it by the street. But they actually hauled it away. You had piles of decaying trees laying in people's front yards for weeks if not months after the storm. They did a great job. Their estimate was actually less than other estimates that I got and those did not include hauling away.

The job went well. Contractor hired a crane to remove major limbs and then the trunk in a very safe and controlled manner. Post job cleanup was excellent.

Received three estimates from different companies ranging from $600 to $350 (Bartlett). Scheduled the job on 9/12 and was told they would be here Monday 9/15 between 8-9 AM. At 0805 the truck rolled in, we talked about the job for 10 minutes or so and by 0920 they tree was down, loaded in the truck and the yard all cleaned up. Best price by far, quick response on the job, showed up exactly on time and did exactly what they had said they would do. The crew were great to talk with and answered every question I had. I don't see how you could ask for better service and if ever needed again they will be the only one's I call.

We hired them because they had done work for us at our previous house and they were very professional. Before each treatment, they notified us by email before they came. It was very good.

I have been using their services for about three years. They are friendly and punctual. They do what they say they are going to do and stick to the price that was quoted. The work has turned out fine.

They were expensive, but you get what you paid for. I have had some fly-by-night people and they provided great quality and had all of the needed equipment. The work they did was great.

Brian Kelly was the director on site. It was a lot of work and they were able to complete it all in one day. They cleaned up very well after completing the job and got someone in to grind the stumps. We really liked their willingness to work around our schedule, the price, and the quality of their work. We were very pleased with the price and were surprised on how low the cost was. It was a very good experience.

I called Don Pumphrey and asked him for his advice on the trees in my yard since he had done work for me before. He gave suggestions as to what to save and what to prune in order to clean up the yard for appearance and to give better access to the driveway. He suggested taking out several small trees and clearing out some very large vines. He recommended a cable on one of my flowering trees to reduce the risk of branch failure. He recommended things I hadn't thought about but agreed it would be good to do. He said they could take the large Live Oak limb off a playhouse in the wooded area. Don came out again and walked my yard with the man in charge of overseeing the work to be done in order to make sure everything was understood. When Bartlett Tree Experts came out, they worked quickly and efficiently and if I saw something I felt they missed, they took care of it right away. They cleaned up really well and I am very pleased with the results. I can hardly tell where the cuts were since they did such a good job blending the cuts in with the other branches. However, I can see a wonderful improvement in the look of the yard! The man that oversaw the job walked the yard with me upon completion and immediately fixed anything that didn't look quite right to me, and he was pleasant about it. I would certainly use them again.

Actual limb removal was done satisfactorily. However in cleaning up , they forgot to remove debris on roof. And most egregious of all, the truck tore down the cable/internet wires for service to our house. It was total absence of professionalism on this. One person could have been on top of truck and held wire up for truck to pass under... When I questioned them about this, I was informed it was my problem not theirs...a flippant answer and that I should call Comcast. They even chuckled about it. Comcast was also totally unresponsive as they were involved in thousands of new students arriving for Fall semester at FSU. We were without cable/internet two days and a kindly neighbor with some expertise finally replaced the wire to the pole where it had been attached. We do NOT recommend this tree service to anyone.

Work was done in a quality manner with minimal impacts to our yard and the surrouding vegitation. Bartlett's was not the least cost vendor for this work, but they indicated they could perform the services quicker than the lower cost vendor. This ended up not being the case. The work was done piecemeal over a 2 week period. This is the only compliant that I have with this firm.

They were prompt, polite, friendly and efficient. They dealt beautifully with several difficult trees due to either being very large and near the house or completely unclimbable and hard to reach.

I was impressed with the attention to detail and safety. This crew worked efficiently and were done with the task in about 2 1/2 hours.

I solicited a bid from them for tree work at my home. While they were clearly professional and knowledgeable, their bid was substantially higher than the other bids I received, so I did not give them the work.

During one of our crazy summer storms, we had a Sweetgum tree fall and hit our roof, bringing a nearby Magnolia tree down with it. Within an hour of calling our insurance, a representative from Bartlett was at our house to survey the damage and had his men there within another hour. These guys worked until the sun went down, tarped the house and finished the job on Saturday. They did a tremendous job removing the trees and clearing the debris. In a bad situation like that, it's great to have this kind of quality. They were courteous, professional and efficient. I'd say they're a little on the pricey side, but sometimes you do get what you pay for.

They were really good. They came and did the job and didn't take long to do it.

Don Pumphrey was a wonderfrul man to work with. He had a genuine regard fo the health nad appearance of our trees. He supervised the crew as they worked and did a follow up visit to make sure we where happy with the work. The crew was professionaland enjoyable to interact with. the cleanup was great. they even blew off the accumulated leaves on the roof.

We are happy with it. We knew exactly what they were talking about. We wanted an arborist and not just one who chops up the trees. These guys really seem to know and they are working on the tree now. They understood what we were concerned about, gave us options on what to do and prices. The first time they came out, we talked it all over with them and we agreed. It was just a very easy thing and we felt the confidence in what they did. They have been excellent so far.

They know what they are doing. They are very professional. Make sure they are one of your three estimates you get. They are professional and ethical.

It was fine. They came when they said they would and did what they said.
