Aire Serv

I was pleased from start to finish with the service this company provided. My air conditioning had been out for almost a week and was going to have it recharged. Since it was an old system and there was a leak it was going to be $818! It made sense to replace the air conditioning unit as well as the aged furnace so I got quotes from several companies. Aire Serv met the competitors price, exceeded their package and was even willing to give the Nipsco rebate to me upfront so I didn't have deal with filing and waiting for it. Mike patiently and thoroughly walked me through what was involved and needed for my particular house. He was there within an hour of my request for a quote. The installers were efficient, thorough and polite. I feel very good about my choice and am happy to recommend them!!!

Service tech performed required job. Asked for an estimate for labor to replace evap coil or both evap and condenser unit and got the wrong quote. Sent an e-mail requesting the correct information and waiting for reply

I called Aire Serv at about 7am, after waking up to a hot bedroom. I tend to keep the air conditioner on a cool setting during the night, since it won't otherwise kick on (cool outside). The answering service took my call promptly and told me a technician would be in contact with me later in the day to schedule an appointment. At about 9am I called them back, since I had not yet received a call to schedule the appointment. Lo and behold, I learned that a tech would not be available until 6pm that night! The lady that answered the phone was very polite and offered to put my name on a short-list in case they had any cancellations. Needless to say, I called three other providers, in an attempt to get somebody out to the house sooner. As a side note, one of the other services had me test the breaker to the compressor, and I discovered that it had been tripped. When I flipped the breaker back on, I heard a humming whine from the compressor, so knew I had found the source of the problem. Fortunately, at about 10:30am, Aire Serv called me back. They had an opening and were able to get a tech out to the house right away. About an hour later, Kyle from Aire Serv showed up to look at my AC unit. I directed him to the humming compressor unit. After some diagnosis, he found that a capacitor had gone bad. After replacing it and turning the system back on, everything started working again! Kyle made sure to inspect the air coming out of the vents in the house to ensure that it was properly cooling and that we had found the source of the problem. So far, everything is back to normal and functioning as it should. My initial interaction with Aire Serv was both good and bad. However, they came through in the end and got my system back up and running. I appreciate their promptness and professionalism and I do intend to use them again in the future (even signed up for their maintenance plan).

Great experience from start to finish. Met with Jeremy who went over the system selection and costs. No pressure tactics and gave us all the options that suited our situation the best, including financing options. We made our selection on April 21 and the system was installed on April 26. Installation went well and the installers were super professional and did an outstanding job trying to get the system installed as efficiently as possible. Can't recommend enough!

I called Aire Serv for a routine a/c service/tune-up after finding them on Angie's List with the most and best reviews. I was unfamiliar with this company before I found them on Angie's List. Today, the office called to notify me that Don was on the way to my home. He arrived before the scheduled time and provided excellent service and above average professionalism. Even though my a/c unit was installed in 1990, Don found it in good working condition. Don was the first a/c service technician to rinse off my a/c unit after testing to be sure it was clean on the outside and the fan blades. We discussed the age of my unit and the possibility of it failing in the hot summer due to age and high usage. I explained to Don that I'm not in a financial position to replace it at this time. I appreciate that Don did not attempt to give me a high pressure sales speech using scare tactics, but rather offered me a special rate on a Service Contract because I am an Angie's List member. This contract only cost me the price of my next two bi-annual service appointments (which I already planned to use anyway), but with this Contract I also will not be charged for after hours service and I will receive priority service if my unit goes out in the summer. The Service Contract was important to me because while I am well aware of the risk of my a/c unit failing because it is 26 years old, I have peace of mind that I have protection for the coming hot summer months if my a/c unit should fail. Thanks Don!!! I will definitely request Don for my next service appointment in the fall.
