E Z Chimney Cleaning

Jack came highly recommended from a co-worker. I bought a house and hired Jack to inspect and clean the chimney. He gave me advice on a couple issues. He clearly has a lot of hands on experience and pointed out several things I never even thought of. When he left our house, there was not a speck of dust anywhere.

Quick initial response and thorough work, but needed to order a part and other material. Jack said he'd contact me the following week. 3 weeks later I contacted him, and he said he forgot and would look back through his notes and let me know. A few days later he replies that he'd like to install an aluminum cap that is $150 more than the initial repair that he had suggested. I decided to stay with the initial repair and asked when he could do that. It's been a few days now and I've yet to hear back. I think I'd go with Jack again, but I am disappointed in this follow-through.

Jack called the morning of the appointment and arrived shortly before the appointed time. He was very professional, answered all my questions and did the job quickly and thoroughly, covering all the furniture and flooring near the fireplace. When he left you would never have known he had been there. He even re-locked our exterior gate to the backyard. I would definitely call EZ Chimney for any future fireplace issues.

Jack was wonderful. He was easy to communicate with before his visit and was here right on time. Did a great job cleaning and inspected everything. Showed me a couple of things that needed repair down the road and an easy fix we could do ourselves. I had some new fireplace doors on hand that I planned on installing after our cleaning but he did it for us while he was here! I highly recommend him!

He was very respectful and knew a lot about fireplaces. In addition, I got the impression that he is an honest businessman. For example, after the cleaning, he mentioned a minor repair. Then, he instructed me on how I could do it myself. He would've been willing to do it for me, but he said that there was no reason for us to pay to have someone else do it. Given how easy it was to fix, he was right. If we had paid him to do it, he would have made more money (or made it seem worse than it was, but he was honest and up-front with us.. It was nice to not be "up-sold." The price quoted was the price we paid. I would recommend him again to anyone.

I've used Jack on several occasions and he's top notch. I will definitely be using him again.
