Lon helped identify where the leak was on the home. I originally thought it was in a different location and he explained why it couldn't be there. It may have just been a window that was not caulked. He went above and beyond to be certain it was a necessary roof leak before he was going to charge me. Very stand up contractor and I will use again and recommend to friends/family.

They only replaced what was needed of the wood to save us money. All the workers were neat and clean. They were timely and that did a great job on the roof. We are very happy with the work. They were super helpful in the picking of the color for the shingles. Everything they did was very helpful.

I had several leaks on my roof. The estimator showed up on time and inspected the roof. He then took time to explain the situation and provide a step by step fix and cost estimate. In all, the guy probably spent 90 minutes between the inspection, the estimation and providing the estimate. I was sold. The estimate looked very reasonable given the amount of work that was going to be needed. Then on the day of the repair a different guy shows up. He goes up on the roof and I heard him working. About 30 minutes later he announced he was done. Given how 'apparently' brief the repairs were, I was rethinking that $1850 but oh well as long as it was fixed. The roof still leaks, in all the same spots. The company did no follow up ("how were our repairs, any problems?"). Here is a company that I would never hire again. The first guy (estimator) indicated during the inspection that if I had any problems, I should call them and they fix it, but I didn't want them back.

I had contacted three roofing companies to provide estimates to repair a leak in my roof. The first two companies provided estimates for repair to a valley where they believed the leak was orginating. Tip Top was the third roofing company to come out, so I thought I had a good idea of what the situation was based on the first two estimates. Tip Top Roofing's owner Lon Nelson initially gave me an estimate of $2,100.00 based on the same work as the first two companies and was able to beat both of their estimates ($2,500.00 and $2,900.00). Just as he was leaving, Lon noticed something unusual that made him go back to re-check the roof. After looking again, Lon told me that he did not think that the damage was to the area that the other two companies had identified. He told me that he would open the roof to check, and if the damage was not in the valley, the repair would be much simpler and less expensive. Sure enough, the leak was to the side of the valley and not in the valley itself. Lon gt his crew to the house quickly and had the repair done by the afternoon at a total cost of only $1,300.00, $800.00 less than his initial estimate and less than half of the estimates of other two companies. I can't say that the other two companies would not have noticed the problem and charged less for a simpler repair, buit I know for certain that Lon did. He was punctual, professional and when the job was finished I could not tell that there had been a roofing crew at the house that day. Everything was clean and put back the way it was found. It's not everyday that you meet someone as professional and courteoud as Lon Nelson, and I recommend this company highly.

He came when he told me he would come as soon as the permits were issued and proceeded with the work until the final inspection in a very professional manor. I am pleased with the results and would hire him if I ever require more roofing work in the future.
