The company has a well-defined process and keeps good communication during the various steps along the way. They were knowledgeable about permitting, showed up when scheduled, and built a quality product. I did make one mistake that required a revision of the design at a late stage. This delayed the project and required an additional expense. The mistake was that I didn't review the layout diagram closely enough regarding positioning of the gates and one stretch of fencing. The company was able to accommodate my changes at the last minute and get things back on track. My advice for customers of any fencing company is to mark out your boundaries with rope or cable, use something to identify gate locations, and then walk those boundaries with the contractor when it's time to review the layout and sign permitting documents. Overall I am happy with my fence and have had a neighbor comment on how nice it looks.

Although the permitting process takes a long time, that is out of the contractors control. Just be patient. Alan showed up around 7:30 Am to begin work, having removed the old fence the day before. He dug the wholes, set the posts and had the new gate installed and working by 3:30 PM. For one guy, he does amazing work. Cleaned the job site very well and even moved dirt for us to fill in some low spots we were landscaping. Very pleasant and hard working. Rebecca and Alan know the business, they are very efficient and the price was fair.

I can't put into words how happy I am with the results of their work. Complete professionals that were on time and kept me posted throughout the entire process of permits etc. They were a joy to work with. I would recommend them to anyone who needs fencing. The results are AWESOME!

The team at First Class Fence did a great job on the replacement of my back yard fence and gate. They took care of all the paperwork and permits which made it easier on me. The job turned out to be a little tough as my back yard is mostly rock beneath the surface. But, Alan powered through and did a great job. The fence and gate look awesome! It went well, Alan was early, which I liked right off the bat. He was courteous, professional and knowledgeable. The only issue is I may not be able to do the job due to cost and thats not something that I negotiate with people. A company and its workers have the right to value themselves as much or as little as they feel they should. Also, the cost of PVC fences are very high and they have to order for each specific job and cant be ordered in bulk so I understand. Regardless when and if I have the ability to pay for the job, they will be the first ones I call..

They was prompt and done a wonderful job. They installed a chain link fence. Quality of work and the staff was great. They took care of all the permits.

They were very knowledgeable about the permit process and requirements for my city. They weren't the cheapest but the fence material was better quality than other contractors. The fence was installed without any problems and looks beautiful. We have received many compliments from our neighbors.

I am very pleased with the product and service provided by First Class Fence. They were extremely professional and responsive. Although they were not the least expensive bid, their price was competitive and seemed to offer the best value for what I wanted. They offered the flexibility of either core drilling into the patio or installing in the ground and exhibited the expertise to feel confident that it would be done right either way. I chose core drilled installation into the concrete. They handled all the required permits and paperwork efficiently and delivered on the schedule promised. The quality of the installation was excellent and they are also proved to be very customer friendly by filling in holes in the patio left from a baby pool fence that was removed. Everything went without a hitch and the fence looks great. I definitely recommend First Class Fence.

.This company's name perfectly describes the quality of their work and the way they conduct business. Initially, my wife and I were considering closing in our back yard by having the two side fences joined by 120' of chain link fencing with a gate so our dog could not get into the canal behind our house. In addition, we wanted the 2 gates on either side repaired because the chain link was damaged at the bottom, and two rail-ends were broken loose on either side of the house. As long-time Angie's list members, we did as we always do by selecting three highly rated Angie's List vendors and calling for appointments for pricing. All three were punctual, and arrived when requested. Since I consider a fence to be "just a fence" I asked all three to describe for me what sets them apart if their quote was higher. The first company responded with a 1-line e-mail addressing the rear fence, but said nothing about the gates. This vendor never followed up. The second vendor indicated that they were involved in a big job in neighboring community and I never received their quote, once they followed up with a phone call, I had already decided to use First Class. Here is what set them apart: First, the owner of the company, Alan arrived promptly as scheduled to discuss the work I wanted done. He is the person who actually DOES the work, he is not simply a sales person. He walked around my yard with me and paid particular attention to the two gates and included in his quote what would be need to bring them up to code to make sure that were adequate to prevent children from wandering into the yard where we have a pool. He said we would receive our quote by the end of the day, or the next morning. As promised, we received the quote late that afternoon. Secondly, I had concerns about permit fees. I called the office for clarification and spoke to Rebecca, I told her that the first vendor said I could save a couple hundred dollars by pulling the permits myself, and I wondered if she could give me an estimate of how much it would be. She offered to look up a couple of similar jobs and give me a ballpark figure. Sure enough, within a couple of hours, she responded with 2 or 3 examples to consider. She also said that we should be aware of vendors who suggest or allow you to pull your own because it could indicate a problem with there certification or licensing. Finally, after much consideration, my wife and I decided NOT to have the rear of the house fenced because we didn't want it to affect the view we have from the rear of our house. But we were concerned about the liability of the gates being in disrepair. So I called Rebecca back and asked her if she could break the gate repairs down and resubmit a quote for that work, figuring I would be put at the end of a long line of more important jobs that might be more lucrative for the company. To the contrary, she graciously redid the quote as quickly and efficiently as she did the initial one, and told me that as soon as I signed an agreement for the work, she would order the materials and my job would be done as soon as the materials were received, first come, first served regardless of the size of the job. Once the materials came in she contacted me, set an appointment and my gates were repaired within days. Lastly, and most importantly, Alan arrived at 7:30 as arranged. Since he arrived at the same time to give me my quote and there was no problem, I forgot that my gated community has a policy of not letting commercial trucks enter the community before 8:00. He called and said they wouldn't let him in. I apologized, and he said he would wait. Once he was allowed in he got to work and finished in about 2 hours. He never complained, never showed anything but a good attitude and performed excellent work.

Very clean work, no subcontractors- English as a first language so nothing was lost in communication. Punctual, responsive, I knew what was happening before it happened every step of the way.

First Class Fence were obviously highly experienced. The entire process, from quote to finishing was very professional. The most amazing part was the installation itself was completely finished in less than one day. We were truly impressed.

They did an excellent job. They were fantastic. They showed up when they were supposed to. He did an excellent job. They did the building permits too. They installed a green chain-link fence in the back area as well as some wire underneath, because my dogs dig. They were very nice and professional. The wife is the one who runs the business and she did the first initial estimate. Then the husband came out to install the fence. There are never any surprises either.

It turned out very good. They did the work a couple months ago for me. He does the work that he says he is going to do. He is very skilled as well. He did standard gating for me a couple years ago. I had some rod iron gates that needed to be welded and he did that for me a couple months ago. His wife, Rebecca, does the estimates and Alan who does the work. They show up on time both times.

When I called to arrange the appointment for an estimate, they were very friendly. The first appointment was set but when he couldn't make that appointment, I was contacted to reschedule. He was right on time for the new appointment. The person that came to give an estimate was the person that performed the work. He was knowledgeable about the City requirements for my area and told me that the fence I wanted was no longer allowed in my city. Because I have very small dogs, he made a recommendation on the type of fence that I agreed with. He showed up on time and had the work done in a day. I am very happy with the fence and my dogs can't get out. My only complaint is that they have you sign that they are not responsible if they break anything. I had a sprinkler head on the corner of my house right where he was putting the gate. He broke the sprinkler line and part of it got imbedded in the concrete for the fence post so we couldn't just pull it out and bring it back up in another spot, we had to do a repair. Not a big issue but we were not aware that they could break anything and we would have to fix it, it is not in the Proposal. You get that when you sign the contract.

Cindy in the office is friendly, sets up appointment. Rebecca one of the owners came out to measure for estimate. Made suggestions including making slats closer, so our dog could not get out. Helped us work through a deadline for insurance. Cindy came out to do paper work and was very efficient and detail oriented. Alan, the other owners came on time to install the fence and did a great job. He was very pleasant and licensed contractor. I have already recommended them to others. They are family owned with a personal touch.

I requested a quote for just materials and also a price for materials and labor as we were thinking of attempting the repair ourselves. I spoke with Cindy who set up the time for Rebecca to come look at the fence to do the estimate. Cindy also requested that I email some pics of the fence, which I did. Rebecca never came to look at the fence, but I did receive a voicemail a few days later from Cindy. She said Rebecca looked at the pictures and she quoted $350 if the fence was 4ft and $450 it is was 5 ft. She did not say if that included labor or if that was just for materials. I also called Webb's fencing (see Angie's list) for a quote. Webb's showed up (John) when they said they would to do the estimate. They give the estimate in writing (not just voicemail) and they came in at $150 for the materials and $250 for materials and installation.

First Class Fence and Rail knew what permits were needed, came when they said they would and followed my instructions very accurately. They were very professional and took care not to harm my property. The fence is of very high quality. We're very satisfied. I can't remember what the cost was.
