Whenever I had a question for Josh he responded to my inquiry promptly and professionally. He made us feel like a valued customer. After the work was completed Josh asked if we would need to have another mold report to confirm the work was properly done. He provided the name of a a company, an estimate from them, and arranged for the inspection to be performed. He also provided the name of a contractor to perform the rebuild portion of the job. We were pleased with the contractor and his price. as well as the mold re-inspection company. Since the work was performed there have been several minor adjustments that were needed. Josh has graciously and unhesitatingly undertaken to assist with those. After you have met Josh and work with him you will wish that every person performing a service for you could be like him. I unhesitatingly recommend him. He is simply the best!
Description of Work: While we were away over the summer, a leak in our roof enabled water to enter some of the kitchen cabinets. Unfortunately our house sitter did not notice anything amiss, so by the time we returned to Florida the upper kitchen cabinets were separating from the soffit and the lower cabinets evinced a strong smell of mold. There was mold on all the items in the upper cabinets. A mold test confirmed the presence of mold and we were told by the mold inspector we would have to remove the affected cabinets and open the walls to remove the mold. We called several mold remediation companies but felt like we had hit the jackpot when we met Josh Winton of Discreet Remediation! I got his name from Angie's List - and could not have been more pleased. He came out to inspect the property within one day of our phone call. He had an estimate prepared within 24 hours of his visit here. He manner was thoroughly professional and courteous. His price was reasonable. I felt we could trust him to be in our home since we would not be here when the work was performed. He had to remove all the kitchen cabinets and the countertops. He sent us photos of the work in progress. We always felt he was in complete charge of the project and did not hand it off the someone else.

Josh came, told me what has to be done, prepared estimate. Contract was signed with detailed tasks to be performed. Work was done as promissed. Independent inspector OKD the job before the last payment was made.

We discovered mold in my daughter's bedroom and the fact that she has cystic fibrosis and was suffering from severe allergic fungal sinusitis made the situation very serious. My sister in law suggested I try Angie's List and so I joined and found Discreet Restoration.. From the beginning, Josh was a pleasure to work with. He understood the serious nature of the problem we were dealing with and even put our job ahead of a few other less urgent ones due to the health issues my daughter had. He came out the same day I first made contact and assessed the situation. He said we'd need to get the roof leak fixed before starting any mold work. He recommended a roofer (also an Angie's List contractor) and once the roof work was done, they started the mold work. It took a couple of days because there was more moisture than could dry in a day. Josh and his team were extremely professional. Josh supervised and assisted with most of the work and I felt very comfortable having them in my home. Once the work was complete, he even helped me locate a contractor to rebuild the room (another Angie's List recommended contractor) and now I have a completely mold-free house and my daughter has a newly decorated room to enjoy in good health. It was such a help to know that the contractors I was using had been used and recommended by folks on Angie's List. I'm a big fan now. It just took so much of the stress out of a very stressful situation.
Description of Work: The areas of obvious mold were tested as well as all surrounding areas. Josh also tested for moisture in other areas per my request. Two walls and a section of ceiling of a bedroom near a roof leak were removed and completely cleaned of mold and dried.

Josh, the owner, was immediately responsive, from the first call for an estimate through the entire job. He and his crew were on time and were thorough and neat. You can always reach Josh by phone or e-mail, and he made sure every aspect of the job was what we expected. He kept us advised and helped us schedule the reconstruction. Josh and his crews were at our home for a few days. I have to say that they did a great job. They were all punctual, courtious and kind. They were amazing with my husband, my children and me. We contacted Josh at off- business hours a few times with questions and he very quickly emailed us back, helping to keep our nerves and stress level in check during this whole process. Josh's crew worked amazingly well around my house. The area we had a issue in included a playroom. They clean up crew not only cleaned up so thoroughly that my playroom looked immaculate, they went as far as to reconstructed a model skeletin project that my daughter had done in school, but had been damaged during a playroom ball game months before the mold issue. We thought that was a great touch!!!! We have no reservations at all in recommending this company!
Description of Work: Josh and his amazing teams were at our home to assist in a mold clean up. The services that he and his company performed included mold remediation, demolition of a bathroom and the subsequent clean up. Discreet Remediation is an extremely qualified and competant company. We felt compfortable with them in our home and around our children. This company worked closely with our Mold Testing company to quickly and confidently identify issues and remediate them quickly.

I joined Angie's list to get referrals for this type of service. I was very impressed with all the comments regarding Josh and his services. I was even more impressed when I found out for myself that all the positive comments were accurate and true. Josh found some mold in a cabinet and could have 'sold' me a "job" - Instead he explained that the problem was surface mold. He located the source of the moisture causing the mold and instructed me on how to clean the area and how to prevent the issue from reoccurring - free of charge. I told the story to my Plumber - a large residential / commercial company - and they simply could not believe that any "Mold Remediation Company" did not tear out my whole wall and stick me with a huge bill - they asked me for Josh's number!!!!!!
Description of Work: Thoroughly inspected for mold. Checked the entire house including a very difficult crawl space.

I called Josh to explain there was a moldy odor coming from an exterior wall. I skipped the mold testing by another company because I was pretty sure there was a problem and wanted to save an unneccessary step.( Josh just does the remediation.) He sounded very professional and knowledgeable on the phone and told me the estimate was free, so I had him come out. He was ontime, polite and professional.He not only examined the wall, but even went up into a very hard to access attic and looked around for leaks. His opinion was that there wasn't a mold problem but suggested I have a mold testing company do an air quality test to put my mind at ease. After spending about an hour doing the check, he wouldn't take any payment from me. My air quality with the other company turned out fine. Moral of the story... If I have a mold problem in the future, Josh is the first one I'm going to call

The project was arranged with Josh who was polite, responsive and profesional throughout.The mold remediation and removal service was provided on time and as requested by the team. We were happy with the results. A separate rebuild contract was open with a contractor who was referred by Josh who was also excellent.

We had a leak in between two rooms - between the sheets of drywall. This required removal of all of the damaged drywall, and then removal of and treating of the areas where mold had started growing. Fortunately, we caught it very early and there wasn't much mold. We were very happy with Discreet's services. Josh came quickly after the first call and told us what would be involved, what to expect from his company, and what it would cost. He was right on with his estimate and the work to be done. He worked around my schedule to get the work done. Josh and his crew were very professional, kept the worksite contained and neat, and explained everything to us as the job progressed. The area passed the follow up mold test with no further work needed so we are very pleased with the job they did.
Description of Work: We hired Discreet to remove water damaged portions of one of our bedrooms, and to remediate mold that formed in a corner of the room.

I DESCRIBED THE PROCESSS ABOVE. ONE WEEK LATER, I HAD A SECOND "MOLD-TESTING-TEAM" COME AND RE-TEST THE APARTMENT FOR MOLD. THE RESULT WAS : "TOTALLY FREE OF MOLD ". SO FAR , SO GOOD. I WILL REPEAT THE TESTING EVERY 6 MONTHS AND SEE IF THE MOLD COMES BACK.

HE IS EXTREMELY REPSONSIVE TO THE CUSTOMER. HE HAS "INFINITE - PATIENCE" FOR THE CUSTOMER'S QUESTIONS. HE IS PUNCTUAL , PRECISE, HELPFUL, POLITE,...ETC. I HAVE NO RESERVATIONS IN RECOMMENDING HIM HIGHLY FOR "MOLD REMEDIATION" JOBS. I DISCOVERED MOLD IN MY APARTMENT IN LATE 2010. I HAD IT TESTED BY "THE MOLD DETECTIVE", - MR. THOMAS BRANNAN. HE WAS TOP-RATED IN ANGIESLIST. HE DID A GREAT JOB. UNFORTUNATELY HE PASSED AWAY IN EARLY 2011. I FOUND JOSH WINTON IN ANGIESLIST . HE WAS TOP - RATED. HE ARRIVED ON TIME. CHECKED OUT THE TWO CENTRAL A/C UNITS, THE DUCTS, ETC... THEN HE GAVE ME AN ESTIMATE OF $ 2100. I CONSIDERED IT SOMEWHAT HIGH. WE DISCUSSED WHICH DETOXING CHEMICALS TO USE. I WAS FEARFUL....HE FOUND THE MOST "GREEN" CHEMICAL ON THE MARKET...IT HAD BEEN APPROVED IN CALIFORNIA .... JOSH EXPLAINED , IN DETAIL, THE WHOLE DETOXING PROCESS, STEP-BY-STEP. HE WAS WELL -INFORMED ABOUT THE WHOLE PROCESS. HE DID SOME "DIGGING" FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION....... AND ADVISED ME THAT INSTALLING A "UV - LIGHT" IN EACH A/C SYSTEM WILL ELIMINATE ANY MOLD THAT MAY FIND ITS WAY INTO THE A/C SYSTEM. I DID SOME "DIGGING" AND I VERIFIED HIS ADVICE. SO I AGREED TO DO IT , AT A COST OF $ 350 PER A/C UNIT. JOSH SHOWED UP WITH HIS "TEAM" : ONE A/C TECHNICIAN, PLUS AN ASSISTANT. BOTH WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND KNEW THIER JOBS. First, as unusual as the last name is, I promise Josh and I are not related. He was punctual, personable, and very professional. He examined the mold report then explained what needed to be done, how much time it would take, the equipment he'd be bringing in, and provided an estimate. His pricing was very reasonable and we agreed to move forward with the process. They hung plastic barriers and used negative pressure fans to keep the mold contained. They were also conscientious with regard to cleaning up and disposing of all the contaminated garbage. Josh completed the work on schedule. I would absolutely recommend Discreet Restoration to anyone.

Josh and Discreet is the best there is! From the first time I called to the end of his job & beyond he was absolutely great.....he returns calls, texts & emails immediately. He is prompt, on-time he knows his stuff & provides information correctly. He is very considerate of our pets and our family & such a great person in general. We are a Fortune 100 company operating in S.FL that found itself with a moderate mold situation in an industrial freezer area. Discreet Restoration performed the remediation in a supremely professional manner under the leadership of Josh W., who managed the project with the utmost professionalism and thoroughness. We didn't know what to expect going in, but experience in South Florida dictates a lesser standard to which vendors have to be held because "that's just the way it is." Josh runs his business as if he were running a .com out of Silicon Valley - he's honest, up front, excels in communication skills, and seems to be an early adopter when it comes to available technologies (you'll understand once you see how he operates). The clean-up went as planned, and Josh made it a point to not only work around our rigorous schedule and tight corporate policies, but he also over-communicated at every step which is a major plus. A+ all the way.

They were absolutely wonderful. I highly recommend them. Josh couldn't be more wonderful; he couldn't be more polite. It really is a pleasure to do business with him. He is so true to his word and is always on time. He is so reliable and his crew is great! (I don't remember the cost but I know it was reasonable.) They went far beyond the call of duty!
Description of Work: I have used his services twice. He did all the mold remediation in the area that suffered from water damage due to pipes bursting. On a later date, he also removed mold from the Air Conditioning Closet. This involved moving the water heater and some walls. They did an extraordinary job on that as well.
