Josh called back immediately. He came the next day to give me a quote. Once I accepted the quote, he went to work immediately. Josh and his team were extremely professional. They were prompt, responsive and very neat. Although the price was higher than I expected, they couldn't have been better with service and professionalism.

I can't say enough about Discreet Restoration and Josh Winton. Mr. Winton was very professional, communicative, and went above and beyond. My rental condo needed mold remediation in several areas. Josh took care of everything from getting the mold testing done, doing the mold remediation, hiring a contractor for necessary remoldeling after the remediation, and even purchasing a dresser for the condo (because the former dressers had mold). He kept me informed every step of the way, which was important since I am out of state. I definitely recommend Discreet Restoration!

When we met Josh on his first visit for an estimate, we were immediately impressed with his thoroughness, energetic approach, and his professional manner. He came through for us on successful remediation of the mold removal. He provided extra service by recommending a reconstruction service and air conditioner repairman. Since we live in another city he oversaw the remaining reconstruction and air conditioner work to assure no further leaks and water damage and to verify all details were addressed. Josh provided the highest quality of service to us and maintained quality communication at each step of the remediation. We highly recommend him and his company.

When I first read the rave reviews on Josh and his company, I found it hard to believe that anyone was still this good. Actually, his profile is understated in many respects. Josh follows his job every step of the way, and shows personal concern and desire to be outstanding in his work. He is accessible at all times and enc urages the customer to contact him if any question or problem arises. Josh is a warm human being who throws himself into his work, and is extremely knowledgeable and conscientious to the nth degree. He is easy to work with, and reassuring in a field which is threatening to many people. He is a hands on boss who sees to it that every detail is covered. I have absolutely no reservation in recommending Josh and his staff for any assignment in his field of expertise. I have worked with literally several hundred contractors in varying specialties in my professional career, and Josh belongs in the top group

Once the damaged drywall area was removed, the source of the water leak was found to be the shower faucet valve. Mold was discovered behind the tile where the shower faucet was located and Josh recommended removal of the side and back shower tile since it was likely that mold was there also (an extra $250). There was additional mold discovered by the upper back wall, probably resulting from the earlier roof leak. After the cleanup and running the dehumidifiers over the weekend, the remediation phase was complete. We were very pleased with every aspect of dealing with Discreet Restoration. One thing that stands out was their meticulousness with cleanliness. They setup a sticky mat in the hallway outside the bathroom and bedroom to trap dust and dirt from being tracked from the work areas. I highly recommend Josh Winton and Discreet Restoration and would call him again if we have mold issues an any other area. The company doing the rebuilding/reconstruction work just began their work a few days ago. They will be doing the new drywall and retiling. We're taking this opportunity to also have them install a new vanity, sink, toilet and plumbing fixtures. We'll be reporting on their work in a separate Angie's List review.

Josh Winton remediated my moldy home in Weston and did a great job. Don’t be skeptical of his youth (he looks to be in his late 20’s.) He was knowledgeable, responsible, and courteous. I got estimates from six mold remediation companies, including a large national chain, and was dissatisfied with all of them. Most proposed tearing down half the house for a small fortune, and couldn’t even agree on which half to reconstruct! Many wanted to perform both the testing and the remediation, a clear conflict of interest and a big “no no” not permitted, as Josh explained to me, under Florida law. As it turned out, his estimate of the necessary work was extremely accurate in light of the testing I had done, didn’t extend beyond what was necessary, and was considerably less expensive than the other estimates. Josh supervised the work closely and kept in close touch with me, employed capable, responsible workers who I was comfortable with working around my house, and did everything he said he would. The final testing verified that he’d taken care of the extensive mold problem I had in the master bedroom, den, and garage. I can’t speak highly enough about Josh. I told him he can always use me as a reference.

Not only did Discreet do a good job; they stepped in and did extra work when another company left me hanging.My house is a nightmare; it was built somewhat stupidly, and a long series of inept South Florida contractors have screwed up the walls, ducts, wiring, roof, and AC system. The air handler is located in a closet, and the closet was full of black mold. Water was leaking from the air handler, humid air was entering the closet from under the house, the drywall in the closet was soaked to a height of about two feet, there was some mold behind drywall higher up, and the ducts were sweating (due to a lack of insulation), which contributed to the mold problems. Josh looked things over and determined that we needed to have the air handler cleaned. We also needed to have the entire closet cleaned, and the ductwork needed to be wrapped so it would not sweat and feed the mold. He wrote up a proposal and contacted an AC company to do the air handler cleaning and the insulation. We had difficulty locating a company that would fix the ductwork; there were some peculiar issues with it, and we also wanted to have ducts under the house re-wrapped. The company Josh generally uses was not satisfactory. They said they could not repair the ducts under the floor. They also said they couldn't fix the ducts in the closet correctly, so I wasted a lot of time looking for a company that had the expertise. I agreed to let them clean the air handler and rewrap the ducts in the closet. Having no choice, I prepared the ducts myself, closing up the wall and ceiling around the places where the ducts exited. Josh's crew and the AC people shut down the AC on a Monday, and they expected to finish the same day, but because of the peculiarities of the ductwork in the closet, and because the closet had to be dehumidified for a day or two, we were told we would have to wait until Wednesday, July 4. The AC people backed out, saying they would show up on Thursday to apply the insulation. Meanwhile, the house was insufferably hot and humid. I was shocked. A professional does not disable an air conditioning system in Miami in July and then refuse to fix it because he wants to go to a holiday barbecue. Their work ethic is very disappointing. I would never hire these people again. The up side: Josh worked with me to get the AC up and running. He got his team to show up on the morning of July 4, and they worked until after 2:30, fixing the duct insulation. This was not their job, but someone had to take up the slack for the AC company. The closet is clean. The air leaks are sealed. The mold problem appears to be fixed. I still have to get a contractor to fix some drywall, but that was expected. Josh did a lot more than he was supposed to, and I would recommend his company highly. Just be careful whom you hire to fix the peripheral issues.I gave Discreet an "A" for cost, but I can't really say I've priced a lot of mold remediation companies. I know he gave us a few breaks.

These guys awesome! When I contacted Josh, he scheduled an appointment at my earliest convenience. They were always on time and were accurate in the number of days the project would take. They aren?t like other companies who claim to do mold remediation but just replace the visually affected areas ? kind of like putting a bandage on a wound while leaving the underlying infection to fester; Josh and his team ascertain ALL the mold is removed from the house. They set up a containment field around the affected area so the mold spores wouldn?t contaminate the rest of the house. After they removed all the affected walls, carpeting, baseboards, etc, the house was cleaner than I left it! They dehumidified the air and set up a negative air system to draw clean air into the area. Josh worked with the man who had completed the mold inspection (with my permission) to ascertain all various areas and types of mold were removed. When all of that was done, they cleaned everything on the first floor . . . and I mean EVERYTHING. Every piece of furniture, every lamp, cup, pencil, everything! On top of that, they put up with all my innumerable questions about what they were doing and why without ever being anything but exceedingly courteous and polite. Josh even checked back with me later to make sure everything was still alright. I have recommended Discreet to everyone I know who has mold problems. They are great!

On time. Did,all work cleanly and as promised. Part of our payment never made it in the mail, and there was no stress or animosity in getting a new check to them.

Josh was FANTASTIC.... He showed up on time. Spent a little over an hour at my house. Checked all of the rooms for any mold or water issues... He even took out some vents to check for any issues and fixed a small issue without any charge to us at all... His specific answer as to why he didn't invoice us anything was because he really doesn't see a reason to fix an issue if there is no real issue in the house and why invoice a customer when no real work was done... WOW.. How many professionals in today's world to you know of that will fix a minor issue for free and help you just because. I don't know about you, but I know of very few... I believe that his professionalism, expertise and most of all ACCOUNTABILITY to his customers is going to take him very far. KUDOS to you Josh for setting a prime example of how to gain your customers trust and respect... All while giving us back our piece of mind. Thank you.

FABULOUS!! Called one day, Josh was out the next. Josh was here for about an hour. In addition to checking the vent site, he also climbed into the attic to ensure there was not additional mold above the vent. He determined that our issue was contained to just the closet vent surface, likely from condensation, and used a disinfectant. For all of this he charged us absolutely nothing! He is very nice, friendly, patient, professional, etc. I would totally recommend him to everyone and would without a doubt use him again should I ever have a need. THANK YOU JOSH!! You have restored my peace of mind.

Josh was very professional. A few days after the work was completed, Josh came back, removed the air chamber and began total debris cleanup -collecting,bagging and disposal. I was very pleased with his workmanship!

They were very professional, and really, really good. They were here for a few hours and didn't ask for anything. They didn't find any problems, and they had another company call me to make sure I didn't have any chemical problems. He gave me a follow up call six hours later, which I was very impressed with, especially when he didn't make any money off me. I would use this provider again.

When a pipe bursts you don't have any time to do a lot of research, which is why I am SOO glad I have Angies List to rely upon. WIth a very short time to react, I immediately went on Angies List and pulled up a list of Water Restoration companies near our office. Discreet came up with high marks and I decided to call them first. Josh was fast to respond and had his guys there within 20 minutes. Professional, neat and equipped with the right equipment to tackle the job and dry us out right. Very attentive and up front. Explained the process from start to finish

Outstanding overall and at each step of the way. They honestly exceeded my expectations and I have both high expectations and a good frame of reference because I deal with contractors on a daily basis in my profession where I work for the federal government as a contracting officer - evaluating proposals, assessing past performance, monitoring contractor performance, etc. They came well recommended from here on Angie's List and the recommendations are valid. Our home is in Jupiter an hour north of Discreet's home office, and there are certainly dozens of remediators between here and there, but you can't put a price on peace of mind of a job well done and trust in the integrity of the people you're dealing with. Josh Winton is a man of integrity and he took care of our family well with his company's services. My mom is fighting breast cancer and scleroderma, and he addressed all of our concerns thoroughly and undertook the work in an expeditious manner. He was very responsive to all of my questions and answered them in a thorough manner - and I had a lot because of my professional background. We also had a number of variables due to the other reconstruction work we had pending the mold remediation. This wasn't an easy job and I am totally satisfied with their work. They also went above and beyond in several areas from start to finish. They even took great care in removing our kitchen cabinet and countertop to ensure it could be donated to Habitat for Humanity. I wouldn't even consider another provider if, God forbid, we ever have another mold issue. Mold is something where you want to have someone you can trust. This is the Cadillac of restoration/remediation companies. They took a problem (fiberglass contamination) that no one else knew how to deal with and attacked it from many different angles expertly, creatively, and professionally. They took great care to address all of my concerns.

Josh responded to my inquiry within hours. He planned and supervised the work (which involved other companies) in a professional manner. He has an excellent staff and recommended other companies to us which were equally as impressive as Discreet Restoration. The work was completed as promised, on time and within his estimate for the services. I recommend his services without reservation.

Josh Winton (owner) was quick to respond to my request for an estimate and punctual. Very thorough and professional and clearly this line of work is his specialty. This guy knows a lot,.but no mold was found....I felt relieved.... another company had called me afterwards and i told them i dont need there services because discreet already inspected my home.. they said if discreet inspected then im good to go..Josh then called another company who does not deal with mold they test for air quality he then said that they would call me...Later that evening he called me just to make sure if that other company did call....this guy is no joke...best part was as he was leaving i asked him how much i owed him because he did spent a long time inspecting...he said nothing... my jaw hit the ground..lol...Now i understood why he gets such high ratings.......Then to follow up with a called.. WOW...JOSH YOUR THE REAL DEAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Josh and his crew were excellent. Not only did he come in the lowest bid.. the work was outstanding. If you have a mold problem.. This is the only company you will have to call On time each time and did exactly what he said he would.

Have had them out for a quote and really like them so far. I am planning on using them when I start the job shortly.
