from excavation, foundation laying, block-laying, carpenery and exterior stucco., so far so good
Description of Work: I called for bids on a total roof-replacement, from the existing flat roof to be replaced with a metal, hip-roof. The single story home is over 1800 sf. Mr. Werling's bid came in the lowest by far, so I had him sit down with me to explain the huge difference in price from the other 3 bids. After 45 minutes of going over the very detailed, highest bid, I was satisfied that there would be no surprises. In addition to the roof job, I have also given him the job of essentially building a new small bathroom. Mr. Werling is a "working contractor", which means he is not just overseeing the work - he is doing the work, from excavation to forming, pouring and block-laying, carpentry, and stuccoing the exterior of the new bathroom. We have been held up by the truss company, but Mr. Werling has not only kept me apprised, he has bent over backwards and showed up at dawn when we had a small roof leak because the new trusses were delayed.
