After several visits to World of Sound we contracted to install two CB radios (Midland 75-822). One of these on a new Vespa 300 and another on a new Burgman400. We were subsequently contacted by them to bring the Scooters in on July 18, 2011 for the installation. We did so, and on that date it was determined that they did not have all the parts needed to complete the job. They agreed to get the parts and to contact us. Subsequently, on August 4, 2011 we again brought the scooters in, having been assured that all parts were now available. At the close of the day, we contacted them regarding the completion of the job. We were told that they needed to have them the following day as well. Several times on the 5th we visited the worksite only to find that our work was not being done and they were working on other installations. We were again told that they would need our bikes until Sat. the 6th. We again visited the worksite and were told that they were having problems with the installation. On Saturday, we demanded to have the bikes returned. At that time it was determined that they still did not have a lower cord to connect the bike helmet to the radio. It was also at that time that we noticed that the Vespa would not start and that the paint had been damaged. World of Sound denied doing either of these things and insisted that the paint was always damaged and the bike never started by using that brake. I refused to ride the bike without 2 hand brakes and it was left until Monday, Aug 8. At that time we stopped payment on a check we had given them. On Monday we were told the owner was on vacation and not available until Wed. When we went there ,he was there. He agreed to reduce the price by $200.00 and to fix the brake. He demanded $1000.00 in cash and would not release the Vespa. He also agreed to make the appropriate cords to attach the helmets to the bike. Several days later we were told that he could not make the cords and we are now left with two very pricey CB's that do not work and truly have no prospect of working.
Description of Work: We contracted with (Nash's) World of Sound to install 2 CB radios on 2 motor scooters. After working on the installation for three days they still do not work, and one scooter (a very pricey Vespa) was damaged. They broke the brake on the scooter which they subsequently repaired and damaged the paint finish which they deny doing. They didn't know what parts would be required for the installation and now that they are partially installed they haven't a clue how to finish the job. Throughout the experience we were repeatedly lied to us regarding the availability of the owner, the damage to the scooter, responsibility for acquiring parts, the work that was to be done and the time frame for accomplishing it. BOTTOM LINE: They still are unusable! Run don't walk away from these guys.

Description of Work: We dropped off our receiver for the surround sound system. They called us 2 weeks later and told us to repair the receiver it would cost over $400.00. Of course, we said no thank you and wanted to pick it back up from them. The next day we go to pick it up and the worker there states that his co-worker took OUR receiver home and he'll bring it back the next day. We go back the next day for our receiver and it was there. We then take our receiver to a family friend to be repaired instead. When he opens it to see what is wrong, every single one of our outputs were completely gone. Our reciever was picked apart to have parts stolen from it.
