Florida Retrofits gave my family amazing service. The sales manager Joey Disano was very effective with communication each step and went above and beyond to help my family. The crews were good and provided excellent services. I highly recommend this company.

Capt Ron is professional and his employees did a good job. Only negative from this is the workers leave quite a bit of debris behind. Covered up the mess with my mulch.

I received a fair and reasonable proposal to do this retrofit work. I didn't want the cheapest, I needed a firm who would do it right, on time and who I was comfortable with. From the first discussion with Ron Cook at Wind Mitigation Retrofits I could tell he was honest, trustworthy and professional. His employees showed up on time, were professional and polite, and Ron briefed me every step of the way. I did have one issue on a missed truss after I paid him, (which can easily happen) and once I brought it to his attention he immediately apologized and personally went out to my house with his best employee and fixed the issue. Shocking in South Florida that there still are contractors that actually have pride in their work and who value their reputation. I am willing to pay a little more for quality work with any company that stands behind their product and services, communicates with you timely and addresses any questions or concerns you may have. I would, and will, recommend this company to anyone who needs their services. I am extremely satisfied with their work.

To anyone considering hiring Wind Mitigation Retrofits of Florida LLC. Please read this first and make your own decision. I found this company on Angie's list. They had an "A" rating from anywhere I could find a review. I didn't come across any reviews that said anything bad about them. I contacted Ron Cook the owner of the company for an estimate, he asked me to send him a copy of the Wind mitigation report and he said he would review it and send me an estimate later on that same day. He reviewed the report and found that is wasn't just a third nail that was missing but also the spacing as well. He gave me an estimate that was just shy of $2,000, he said his workers would be in the area and the could be out to do ours in 2 days. I agreed and paid the deposit. Two very nice gentleman showed up at my house around 8:30am and finished at 1:30p. They said the owner Ron would send the photos over to my inspector. A little while after the guys left I got to thinking that was quick for the entire house. I had my brother take down the soffit in the areas that I thought they skipped over to be sure they did the work I paid for. To my disappointment my suspicions were correct in the areas of my home that are tough to get to were skipped over completely. They only did the areas that were easily accessible/viewable from the attic. So basically they did enough to pass the wind mitigation inspection. When I contacted the owner to tell him, he said it was absurd that his men have integrity and they do not cut corners. We took pictures of the northeast side and the northwest side of the home where we pulled the soffit down to reveal these areas were skipped. The owner says he feared for the safety of his men due to my brother being angry and yelling at him. He said would not send them back out but instead would issue a refund. I don't know if skipping hard to reach area is a common practice for Ron Cook and the employees at Wind Mitigation Retrofits of Florida LLC and they have been getting away with it because customer are not following up to ensure all areas are completed to code, or if this was just a one off situation. Either way a very bad experience. I asked my wind mitigation inspector if he checks each truss and he said no he looks at what is easily viewable and assumes everything was done the same way. If you decide to hire this company please follow up to ensure its done properly.

After becoming responsible for my mother's rental properties I needed to quickly obtain insurance for her buildings. The insurance inspection revealed all of the roof straps would need the retrofit to obtain the maximum discount on our insurance. I chose Wind Mitigation Retrofits of Florida based on their excellent reviews at Angie's List and they certainly came through for us. Ron completely managed the process for me, reviewing the roof inspection and delivering a quote very quickly. He sent me his insurance certificates before I had a chance to ask for them. He also worked around my schedule and got the repairs done immediately. His team showed up on time and were very aware of minimizing the impact to our tenant. They got the job done in just a few hours. Considering the task, I thought the price was very reasonable. I can't thank them enough and would definitely use them again if needed

Retrofitted roof to upgrade the roof catergory under insurance guidelines. Saved us $1300.00 on our annual home owners insurance. All work was done by climbing through the attic, his guys were courteous, punctual and cleaned up when the job was complete. Was a pleasure working with Ron Cook, he took the tine to explain in detail the process and promptly replied to my emails and phone calls. I was hesitant in hiring someone because of all the fraudulent contractors in South Florida. They are licensed, insured and did a great job! Absolutely worth the money and will recommend him to my friends and neighbors.

Professional and on-time service, with great communication. The owner was prompt in returning my calls and answering questions. The workers were very friendly and knowledgeable. When the job became more complicated than expected, the team communicated all the steps with us and found a good solution. Fair and honest company that offers workers' compensation, general liability certificate and license verification. The photos and full report were also sent by the company right away for required documentation purposes. Highly recommend.

The whole experience was positive. The crew arrived on time, were very polite, got right to work, and worked hard (in the attic!) for five hours retrofitting our roof for strength (wind mitigation). Then, when the job was complete, they completely cleaned up the area, loaded up their tools, said goodbye and left. The cost was reasonable - even gave us a $100 off coupon - and will help towards the cost of home insurance. Also, no hidden charges - we paid what the estimate came in at. Very happy with their great service.

I am extremely satisfied with the work performed. Alex and Jose were excellent and took the extra time to photograph other unrelated damage to my flex duct. They guys do incredible work. If you have seen their youtube video be sure to check it out. It will give you a good idea of the challenges and extreme work conditions these guys handle. Communication was constant and lightning fast.

This work was necessary to pass an inspection for the sale of my house. The roof to wall connection needed to qualify for a (B) "clip" connection as described by the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation. From the time we contacted Wind Mitigation Retrofits of Florida LLC they knew exactly what we were talking about. They sent someone to look at the roof and a**** the problem and give us an estimate of what was needed and the cost of the work. Once we signed a contract with them the work was done immediately and passed inspection for the sale of our home. I highly recommend this company. They are easy and efficient to work with and are not trying to sell you work that is not needed for your situation.

This experience went better than I could have hoped for. Communications with Ron Cook at Wind Mitigation Retrofits were pleasant, timely, and informative. Technician Rob also communicated in advance, arrived precisely as scheduled, and worked non-stop in the attic. He took photos of the finished job and discussed details with me. He did whatever was required to make sure the spacing, number of nails, and other details all met or exceeded current building codes. His photos -- which will not only circulate to the wind mitigation inspector, my insurance agent, and homeowner insurance company -- will be helpful to me in the future should I sell the house. I also gain a huge benefit of peace of mind with the security of my roof, particularly during any severe storms. I would like to note that I had roofing companies offer to do the work by taking up old shingles, cutting through the plywood, and doing the retrofits prior to installing new roof shingles. I did not like the idea of weakening the roof structure by cutting then renailing the plywood, and so glad a home inspector recommended Wind Mitigation Retrofits of FL to me. My experience was terrific all the way through ? I received superior customer service, cooperation, information, and professional service from Ron Cook and his team at Wind Mitigation Retrofits of Florida. I highly recommend them for any wind mitigation retrofit work.

The gentlemen were very courteous and arrived as scheduled. Very professional and customer oriented ... very pleased with the service provided and the money that I saved on my homeowner's insurance by having the wind mitigation retrofit done. The cost of the retrofit was less than I would have spent on my homeowner's insurance had I not received the insurance credit. This was well worth the minimal amount of money I spent ... in the longrun I will save big dollars!! I highly recommend this company and the service they provide to Floridians.
