+ -1 morei agree with the "F" rating of another reviewer. i only got as far as being sent a contract, which was fine, fair and clear, but needed to be fleshed out a bit more to avoid any misunderstanding. among other questions ( i had about 10), i asked whether the company provides a warranty----which was never mentioned to me personally during the estimate or i believe in writing in the contract. not a tough question to answer you would think. their response was that they will "pass" on the job. as i noted in a responding email, i thought this was a bit "tacky". i report-----you decide.

+ -1 moreIf you use Surface MD get a warrantee or guarantee from them in writing. In our case they refused to be responsible for their product and its application. Do not use Surface MD coating to color concrete that will have any traffic. It wears off. In our case it wore off in less than 2 years. Be prepared for lots of excuses if there is a problem. In our case they "lost" the shop notes on the formulation that they used for the original coating so they couldn't help us. Of course they did finally acknowledge doing the job after we offered a copy of the check payment but still did not feel responsible for their work.
Description of Work: We wanted to color our small concrete driveway and had it coated by Surface MD with a proprietary coating that Mark Spears, president of Surface MD claimed to be a permanent ceramic coating. After 2 years the coating had worn off on about 1/3 of the total area and we contacted Surface MD for a solution to this problem. They offered to clean and patch the worn off areas for $600 but would not take the responsibility for this lasting longer than the first coating and would not provide any guarantee or warrantee for this proposed work. In fact they said that it would be normal to have our driveway repeatly coated every 2 years! This was a totally different story than the original claim for their product which was obviously misrepresented by Surface MD. I believe that the product "might" be useful way to color concrete that is not exposed to any traffic but it certainly is not something that should be used on a driveway or any area that has use. This is probably why they will not provide any warrantee or guarantee for their work. We are currently discussing solutions for this problem caused by Surface MD with other contractors. Both Mark and his wife are friendly people but their product for coating concrete is horrible and Surface MD won't be responsible for it.

+ -1 moreI dealt with both Mark Spears, the President, and Karen Wuestling, the Vice President. Both were very knowledgeable and professional. Their employee who performed the work, Roland, was punctual and did a very good job.
Description of Work: Removed 2/3 coats of zylene-based paint from the floor of a 3-car garage with a diamond abrasive. Removed all material and applied a clear sealer to the bare concrete. This was the only company I could locate that had the equipment to remove the paint through the use of abrasives instead of using partially-effective and messy toxic chemical removers. They also pressure-cleaned my paver driveway and applied a clear sealer for an additional $765.
