Jeff was amazing! Since we were first time home buyers we weren't sure what to expect but Jeff was extremely thorough. The whole process took about 2 -3 hours and we had our detailed report by the following morning with pictures included. He was very responsive and prompt. We got to the property about 10 minutes earlier than the scheduled appointment and he was already here and working. He also inspected the pool for an additional fee. The lender required a termite inspection and he was able to recommend someone for that. We also wanted to get the septic tank inspected for peace of mind and he gave us a great referral for that as well. Due to his thorough inspection we were able to get some things fixed before moving in this saving us money in the long wrong. Will definitely use his services again if and when needed.

Jeff inspected the home. He took his time and spent about 3 hours overall. That night, he sent us the 27 page report of his findings. The report contained a huge amount of information! Not only did he have pictures with arrows pointing to each issue, he thoroughly described the problem and included an estimate of what he thought it would cost to fix it. This was quite helpful because it pointed out things that were minor that we could fix ourselves and those that needed experts and $$$$$ to resolve. He also documented code violation issues, and quoted the building code that explained the whole thing. Because of his report, we learned that this house was NOT going to be ours!

Jeff Scott at SureSpect is great. He gave us very thorough inspection of a 2/2 condo we were looking to purchase. With Jeff's professional, and complete review, we were able to knowup front what issues we were getting into and what wouldn't be a problem. He arrived early, got right to work - carefully and meticulously taking a lot pictures. He was all business, yet friendly and easy to talk with, and informative. After the inspection, he turned around his lengthy detailed report quickly the next day. He gave us guidance on the wind mitigation verification reports. When we needed the 4-Point report additionally for insurance coverage, and a different wind mitigation report as well, Jeff was able to get those to us within a day of asking. We would absolutely call on Jeff again for a home inspection and certainly recommend him. We understand from other reviews, as well as speaking with him directly, that he can also provide references when we may be looking for various other services. We certainly plan to check with him when planning other improvement or repair projects. I grew up around commercial construction and would say my expectations are high when it comes to home services. And rightly so. Jeff and SureSpect met or exceeded those expectations, no problem.

We just used Jeff for our FOURTH time. We are first time home buyers and he has saved us three times so far from getting way over our head in houses that needed way too much work. Always early or on time. He is very thorough in his inspections and reports. The report details the issue and cost to repair. Because of his inspection on our current contract, we were able to negotiate a price reduction of $14,000 on our house! Hes always available after doing the inspection report to go over things in more detail as well. Highly recommended!!!!

Inspection went well. Jeff arrived early. Was informative and explained things as he went. We had some confusion regarding if the house was on private or public utilities. Jeff was very responsive and quick to respond and set up appointments.

Jeff was able to educate me on the pitfalls of this potential investment by pointing out structural damage, roof damage, etc. Money well spent!

Jeff scott is amazing, this is the second home inspection he did for me and both times he did an impeccable job. He was overly detailed and everything he said cost wise was exactly on target. He does not miss an inch. Then I needed a termite guy, roofer and an electrician and he was able to suggest them all for me. I had problems with the roof company the second time around and Jeff went above and beyond the call of duty, not once but twice. Also when I was talking around I mentioned his name and other people knew him and felt the same way. He responded in a timely manner and was always available. I would never use or recommend anyone else.

Other reviews are correct. This is the inspector to hire when buying a home. Right on time and punctual. Checked every possible thing in home. Gave a 41 page report showing pics of any possible issue and infrared scans of appliances. Checked every button or cycle in appliances or every tile for hair cracks. Even gave estimates of pending things that haven't failed but may soon. Most detailed reports I have ever seen. Our realtor was scared of him. That's what you want.

I hired Mr. Scott for the first time in April for a home inspection. After Mr. Scott saw the property, he notified me that it was in my best interest to have him to a simple exterior report. This reduced my cost by more than half of the original price. Because he was honest and didn't waste my time or money, I hired him again. He has provided sincere and factual information and saved us 2x from purchasing a below average home. I would recommend him to everyone and hire him again.

this guy is def. not a realtors favorite, why? cuz he crawls through every corner to examine everything. never use your realtor's suggested home inspector because the realtors want the deals to go through, so they dont want a good home inspector to hurt their deal. if you are buying a home, and want to know exactly whats wrong with your home, THIS IS your guy, im so glad my husband found him. and i do not have one bad thing to say about him. he answered every question we had and examined things we didnt even know that we had to, i will be glad to refer him to all of my friends and family.

I reached out to SureSpect homes for an inspection on a home I was looking to purchase. Mr. Scott returned my inquiry right away and I was very pleased with his professional attitude and willingness to work within my time constraints. He even went one step further and recommended an individual to do an additional inspection on the septic tank, something I hadn't even considered! The morning of the inspection he was already on the roof when my agent and parents arrived. He was very professional and spoke with them about some of the issues he was seeing and what we might expect to get them corrected. His report was delivered the very next day and was very insightful on all issues he had noted, complete with pictures and recommendations. I was very pleased with his attention to detail, even the other side commented that he was "too thorough," which was just fine with me! I chose not to purchase that home (in part due to Mr. Scott's excellent job performance) and am grateful to have found him here on AngiesList. I would definitely recommend him, and will use him again should the need arise.

Jeff was very professional, and arrived a couple minutes early. He was very thorough, and pointed out the little things, as well as bigger problems. I'm very picky when it comes to hiring people and do a lot of research before. I chose Jeff because I could see his attention to detail in sample reports I saw on his website. His report is very easy to read, very thorough, includes estimates, has pictures and blurbs about codes/laws when necessary. I asked him for a recommendation for an electrician to fix the problem he found, and he made an excellent recommendation, with who I was very happy with. He was able to give me a very detailed report, quickly and without errors/typos. He also went out of his way to try to find a roofer who replaced the roof and went out of business, to help with insurance credits, which was very nice of him. I would recommend Jeff, and I would also use him again in the future.

provided a very thorough report. Noted numerous issues. We ended up buying the condo "as is" since the owner was not willing to negotiate. After moving in and living there for a month, found that the drip pan on the AC was severely corroded. This would not have been a deal breaker, and since we bought as is, we would have had to pay the same amount anyway, but I still think it should have been found in the inspection.

I called Jeff to schedule service and he was extremely prompt with returning my phone call and was able to fit us in the next day. He was thorough and got us our inspection report almost immediately. I highly recommend him and regret that I didn't hire him to do the full inspection on our home.

Jeff did a great job and was extremely thorough. He had the right equipment to test and check everything in the house, took detailed pictures, got the report back almost immediately to us and the insurance company. Couldn't have asked for more. In addition, we need an update to our wind mitigation report after we remodeled and put in hurricane windows and doors. He came back and made a new report for a discounted price and again did an impressive job, on short notice too! We've seen and, unfortunately, used some lousy home inspectors in the past, so finding one who does the job right is fantastic.

Jeff arrived early and started work on the exterior before we got to the house. It was a relief seeing him climbing all over the roof when we arrived. I've had home inspectors in the past claim that getting on the roof was outside the scope of their service. My realtor seemed taken aback that he didn't provide a report immediately following the inspection because that?s what her inspector does? I?ll tell you what, I?d much prefer an independent inspector that takes his time to compile a 50+ page report over one that?s buddies with my agent and whips a report together that quickly. Jeff did a very thorough job and his report was detailed, professional and informative. His prices are fair and I feel like I got my money?s worth.

My house has a sad history of roof leaks, so once a year I have an inspector climb up and crawl around in the attic to check for signs of leaks. My previous inspector became unavailable so I turned to Angie's List. and was lucky enough to find Jeff. He accommodated a narrow time window (I wanted him to come immediately after the roof was power-washed, when leaks would be easiest to find), showing up right on time. After getting some background info about prior problems, he went into our hot, dark attic and diligently looked for problems areas. He gave an oral report of his findings as soon as he came down, and followed that up with an easy-to-understand written report within a day. When I had one question about the report and sent him an email, he answered with lightning fast speed. Jeff was a consummate professional, and I highly recommend him. A+ service. I couldn't have asked for more.
