Jeff Scott is a true professional and expert and I'd recommend him in a heartbeat! I was extremely satisfied. He quickly responded to my initial voicemail inquiry and we scheduled the inspection for the following week. Prior to his visit he emailed me the service agreement, a Major Systems Report (work/permit history) on the property, and a copy of the Florida Home Inspection Standards. Although Jeff does not do the WDO inspection himself, as part of his total price he arranged for the WDO professional to conduct that inspection the same morning. Jeff spent nearly 4 hours inspecting everything, top to bottom, inside and out. He was very thorough. He is extremely knowledgeable and took the time to answer my questions and explain things. He was careful to keep things clean as he worked. After the inspection Jeff emailed a very detailed but easy-to-read report with plenty of photos as well as the separate 4-point and wind mitigation reports. The WDO professional sent a separate report. All these were received within a day after the inspections. I had half a dozen follow-up questions after reviewing the reports and Jeff promptly responded to these, providing expertise and advice that have enabled me to move forward with remediation steps. I hired Jeff to inspect my condo in Vero Beach. I was not able to be present during the inspection b/c I was living out of state. Jeff did a thorough job and exceeded my expectations. Jeff was available anytime I needed to ask a question or get additional information. I highly recommend Jeff and can honestly say he is working for YOU, not "them" (the way it should be; always find your own inspector!).

We were under contract to purchase a house in Vero Beach and wanted an independent home inspector who could provide a thorough, unbiased inspection report of the property. Jeff exceeded our expectations. From the start, he was professional and thorough--providing us with the kind of report every buyer should have. Jeff's report was a fair representation of the house--giving the seller credit where it was due, but also pointing out deficiencies that would need to be corrected immediately and those that could be delayed. He provided photos and narrative to support every item and was available by phone and email to answer questions after we received the report. As a result to the report we received, we decided that the repairs for which we would be responsible were overwhelming and elected to terminate the contract. We continued our home search in Vero Beach and hired Jeff to inspect a second home. Again, we received the same level or professionalism and communication after we received the report. Buying a home is stressful, but having Jeff as our home inspector gave us the peace of mind we needed that we were getting a fair and comprehensive assessment of the condition of the homes under consideration. We bought the second home, but if we are ever looking at yet another home in the area, Jeff will be the first person we call.

Jeff very knowledgeable, professional, thorough and courteous. He arrived ahead of time for the inspection and performed a thorough inspection in a very reasonable time frame. As he discovered issues, he educated me on the realistic impact hey may have and how to remedy many of them very quickly and inexpensively. His reports followed almost immediately and provided substantial background information on the home, recommendations for the issues he found, and a complete documentation of it all. When the issues that were required to be fixed for insurance purposes were corrected, Jeff was quick to turn around a revised report to submit to my insurance company . I definitely recommend Jeff to anyone buying a home and will use him again myself if needed in the future.

Jeff did a fantastic job. I'm an out of state buyer and was impressed by Jeff's A rating. I was unable to be at the home during the inspection, living in Texas, but my Realtor was present. She was so impressed by Jeff that she referred him to one her other buyers to do their inspection! Jeff was very meticulous and provided me with a detailed 80+ page report of the many little things that needed to be corrected. Thankfully there wasn't anything major that needed to be done. Not only did her identified problems, but offered solutions as how they could be repaired. I'm thankful for good, honest, hard working individuals like Jeff. I would not hesitate to hire him again in the future.

As a first time home buyer I thought I did my due diligence and found a home inspector that would protect me as the buyer. I hired Jeff and told him that I needed a home inspection on a property that I was planning on purchasing. Jeff's inspection and report seemed very comprehensive and thorough; however, less than 4 months after the inspection I found that I had a termite infestation in my attic (an area where Jeff spent a good amount of time during the inspection). I was told by three separate extermination companies that this infestation manifested itself over a period of anywhere between 4-7 years (meaning that it did not occur in the four month period between the inspection and now) and that it was fairly plain to see if you bothered to look (see pictures taken on 04/18/2017). I was left holding the bag and paying for the extremely expensive remediation. When I called Jeff to see if there was anything he was anything he could do he told me that since I didn't ask specifically for (or pay extra for) a termite inspection that it was not his problem and that I should take him to court. He offered no refund or apologies for the fact that I now have a bill in the thousands for something that HE missed. The fact that he holds himself out as a top rated, comprehensive home inspector and he missed something so big as a termite infestation is very concerning. Buyer beware, this inspector is not as competent as his ratings may lead you to believe and his customer service when he makes a mistake is just downright RUDE.

Things went great! I am also a realtor at the Gray Wilson Group at Keller Williams and we always provide Jeff's information to our clients. So far, they have been very pleased with his incredibly detailed reports.
