He was very helpful in making sure I did not pay too much and helped me get the job done ASAP.

I contacted Jim before we moved into our new home. We set up a time to meet shortly after closing to go through the work we needed done. He gave a fair estimate and stuck to it. As we prepared to move in, we continued to add new work to the list. He installed three ceiling fans(two of which had to be wired completely), installed 6 new smoke detectors, hung several other fixtures, installed or repaired multiple outlets through the house, and repaired several things that simply weren't done correctly originally. Both he and Chris were professional and courteous. I was very pleased with the service they provided. When we begin our remodeling projects, he has my business for the electrical work. The only drawback was that he is very busy. We were in a position to be patient and they took care of what we needed done. I'm certain that if our electrical issues were more urgent, he would have been there for us ASAP.

This was my first time using Angie's List...I was VERY IMPRESSED!!!! I had a new ceiling fan that I wanted installed in my bathroom. I picked Spark's Electrical and Jim the owner came out. Jim was very prompt and VERY nice.My husband and I liked the way he was very thorough. He was careful to point out we needed a ceiling mount fan because of code..I purchased the wrong one. Unlike some companies I feel would have just put it up just to get the business. We made an appt. for the following week but I have as yet to find one the size I need.. I called to cancel the appt. and he said he would be more than happy to come back and put the small plate up on the ceiling at no charge. He never charged anything at all !!! I would call him back in a heartbeat!!! Go Angie

Jim did a great job, came and gave us an estimate (ballpark) before actually knowing just what was involved before he did anything. I would definitely use him again and recommend him to my family and friends.

The guys from Sparks were tremendous! They spent a good hour trying to come up with a solution. After exploring every option it was determined that I needed to create an access to my attic space in order for them to b e able to get to the junction box in my condo. They even contacted and spoke condo association personnel to try to fix the problem during this call. Although, they were unable to perform any work during this call, I was impress with their level of commitment to the resolution of my issue and their honest input. In continuing to troubleshoot this problem, I contacted them a week later to run a possible solution by them. My question was very well received and they answered all my questions having full recollection of the details of my situation. I was encouraged to call again with any future questions. Once my attic access has been completed, I will DEFINITELY contact them to complete my work.

They are excellent electricians. They have solved problems and cut costs. We had some panel issues that they were able to fix instead of having to replace, which was an awesome savings. They are very efficient and they know what they are doing. They were here when they were supposed to be. Everything is positive. I would use Sparks Electrical Contracting again.

I contacted Mr. Sparks before purchasing our home and arranged to call him when we arrived. I called, he came the next day and give us an estimate on what needed to be done. He arrived on the arranged date and within two days the job was complete. Everything went smoothly and he and his assistant were great. I will always use Sparks for my electrical needs.

My overall experience with the job performed start to finish was fantastic and very professional.The quality of work and the value that I received was excellent.I will use this company many more times to complete other projects in my home..

Totally professional work done, everything explained to me and a very honest evaluation of electrical system done which went well beyond I think just an cursory look you might get from others. Honest and easy individual to work with, accomodating and freindly. Recommended without hesitation

We have called Sparks before and are very happy with the service provided in the past. We called to have two light fixtures installed and a ceiling fan on our back porch. They came out on time and gave us a price for the work, we agreed and they completed the job in a couple hours. During one point they stopped to show me an issue that was hindering the fan from working as we wanted and gave us an option and we agreed on it and the additional cost. They completed the work and we are very happy withe our patio. Sparks did a very good job and cleaned up after themselves. They are our electricians.

Jim originally gave us a written estimate of $1500.00, which is way too much for the requested work. On 1/27/2012 Jim called and gave us a verbal quote of $750.00, which was more than a fair price. I accepted that quote. Jim said he was finishing another job and he would get back in touch in one week. Here it is 2 weeks later and no Jim. I called a local Hobe Sound electrical contractor this morning and they had 2 men here this afternoon and the work was completed at 415pm.

Excellent...we could not have asked for a nicer person or better service. I had given him details over the phone, so Jim was aware it was possibly a pricey repair. However, as soon as he looked at the circuit breaker box, he said it was just a simple issue...that actually there was nothing wrong with our electrical system. He then reset a circuit breaker that was causing the problem and immediately the dead wall outlets became functional again. Jim showed my husband what to do if this happened again and then (amazingly) refused any offer of payment. We were astounded. What an amazing guy! In all our years of home ownership and repairmen, we have never experienced such honesty and generosity.

As stated above, I was having electrical problems. I called Sparks Electical Contracting and received an immediate phone call back from the owner. I explained to him the best I could the problems I was having. He gave me an appointment to come to my house the following day, and he was on time. He actually showed up earlier. He diagnosed the problem and told me what his concerns were and how to fix the problem. I approved of the work to be completed. He did give me an estiamte and after all said and done, my bill was lower than the quoted estimate. The work was completed in a timely fashion. The owner Jim was professional and cleaned up after himself. I highly recommend this company. I have had prior electicians out and seeing what Sparks Electical Contracting has provided for me, I know now what true quality is. Again, as stated prior, I am very pleased and completely satisfied with the services provided. I have had three friends @ work who have been in need of a competent electrician, and I have referred them ALL to Sparks Electrical Contracting.

No work was completed because they never showed up nor phoned that they were not coming.

He canceled just before Thanksgiving and said he was finishing up some big job. I haven't heard from him since. I'm not the type to keep badgering somebody to come and work at my house. I just don't have the time for it. It's very disappointing because when he got here he was very nice. However, he was just very disinterested. I wanted it fixed right before the Thanksgiving holidays, but he really screwed me over by not showing up.

I overlooked the one 'F' mark a previous reviewer gave and opted to give Sparks the benefit of the doubt and therefore called to set up a service call. Called on Tuesday and spoke with a fellow who said he didn't know if he could come out that day. I said that was Ok and described what i needed. It is now one week later and i have not heard from this company, not even to schedule an appointment for a future date.

Very satisfied. He scheduled an appointment for a few days later and came at the scheduled time. The work was completed promptly in one visit and at a fair price.

I called, a man answered, said he had several calls for that day but would call me later in the day ti set appointment for next day. No one has ever called back.

Sparks did a great job. The owner arrived the same day I called. He was genuinely concerned about my family's safety. Fixed the problem within an hour and explained what was going on very well. Very professional, courteous and trustworthy. Didn't try to convince us we had other problems or needed more work as some large companies do. I will definitely call again and would recommend to anyone in the area!

Work was done as expected on time and within quoted price range. If I every need electrical work again, Sparks will be the one I call.
