 + -1 moreMat showed up on time and had all the tools he needed except for paper towels and glass cleaner. He carefully disassembled the oven door on a towel he provided and marked the position of each screw and bracket as he took the door apart (this proved to be a life saver when putting the door back together again). He steam cleaned all the grease that wouldn't come off with glass cleaner, but one streak proved stubborn enough that it couldn't be entirely removed. He also cleaned the door handle and the inside of the door and the brackets to prevent any grease dripping from them when the oven was in use. Mat was very pleasant, meticulous in his work, and paid attention to detail. If needed I would use him again. I was very satisfied with his service. I was so satisfied that I gave him a $15.00 tip :-).
Description of Work: My oven door had drips from grease inside the door's window and I needed the door to be disasembled and cleaned.

 + -1 moreEverything went very well. He was very pleasant and did not make a mess.
Description of Work: The automatic ice maker and dispenser were not working. Called Matt and left a message. He responded in five minutes. He was not able to come out until the next day. Matt called to say he was on his way and arrived at the scheduled time. He checked everything out and thought it was the chip that needed to be replaced. He did not have the correct one in the truck and would have to order it, which would take a couple of days. He call when the part came and scheduled an appointment for the next day. He arrived at the appointed time and got to work immediately. Unfortunately, that was not the problem. He got on the phone with the company and they told him what the issue was. It was a tiny piece of insulation that was in the refrigerator. He removed the necessary sections of the refrigerator and found the part in question. He replaced it, put everything back together and it's been working just fine since. He was very apologetic for the time and inconvenience. He did not charge for the part that he had to special order and was not the problem. I told him that we got his name through Angie's List and he said he has gotten a lot of jobs because of Angie's List. I would not hesitate to use R&B Appliance again, and have even recommended him to friends and neighbors.

 + -1 moreHe was very nice. He spent time trying to fix the dishwasher door. He fixed my extractor fan but it stopped working again but he did not hesitate to come back and fix it once again. The only thing I thought could be different was the price because I thought it was a bit high.

It is a relief and refreshing to find someone that is honest, reliable, professional and very knowledgeable. My husband and I highly recommend him and will be referring him to our friends and family.
Description of Work: Matt fixed our refrigerator and was very knowledgeable, professional, honest and reasonably priced. We were so happy with the excellent service we received and how quickly he came out to us that we called him again when we needed to fix our dryer (and clean vent). I have saved his number in my Contacts now and we will definitely be using him in the future.

Description of Work: I can't recall the amounts spent or dates of the repairs. I have used them twice for repair of my dishwasher and washing machine, which needed a new motherboard. When Matt was going on vacation and needed to order the motherboard for my washer, he arranged for someone else to do the installation. When I asked about replacing the microwave door handle, he advised that I just wait until the microwave needed to be replaced as the entire door would have to be changed at a cost of $120.

Description of Work: The technician explained that someone had accidentally hit a button on my dishwasher which was preventing it from running. He just hit the button and it was working. Then instead for full price of visit, he gave me 20% discount.

He made a quick adjustment and fixed a problem that had been going on for months! I paid the service fee and am happily using my dishwasher with great results. He is reliable, honest and very polite. dryer vent cleaning
 + -1 moreMatt was very punctual and personable. Our dryer was taking forever to completely dry a load of laundry and one day it just stopped working. It wouldn't turn on at all, but the light was on so we knew that it was receiving power. Matt quickly determined that the starter was not working and he ordered a new one. He came back to install the new starter exactly when he said he would and he also cleaned the vent. He had to go up to a narrow crawl space to perform this task and showed us a large amount of lint that was removed. Thank goodness we now have a dryer that works well and we do not have to wait forever for a load of laundry to dry.....even when the Florida humidity is 90%!!! Matt explained that the vent needs to be thoroughly cleaned every few years to avoid unnecessary expenses, but more frequently than that is just a waste of money. Thanks Matt. We now have his card taped to our dryer and wouldn't hesitate to call him for any additional appliance repairs.

He returned my call promptly, got the information, and recommended that I call the specific factory service, he said that it would ultimately save me money and time because of the nature of the manufacturer. Several weeks later, I called for a repair on my oven. He actually diagnosed the problem over the phone, I got my oven easily working again and it didn't cost a thing! He is obviously a very ethical repairman, he could easily have gotten a service call out of it. I appreciate his honesty and will definitely contact him again.

I asked Matt to call me 1/2 hour before his visit. Matt did call in advance of his visit. Matt replaced the ice maker within 45 minutes. His workmanship was excellent, clean and very professional. His pricing was fair. Matt is the owner operator of this one man service. I would use him again and strongly recommend R&B Appliance to all who need such services.

 + -1 moreSuddenly the starter would not work on my laundry drier. I called Mattt at R & B Appliance , and he soon responded to my phone message. I was pleasantly surprised when he could come the very next day. He asked for a two hour window in the morning. Then he called 15 minutes before his arrival. Baffling to me the starter worked just fine when Matt checked it. So I asked him to adjust the buzzer while the control panel was open. Unfortunately the design of the panel did not allow for toning down or turning off the buzzer. Matt promised that the cost of the service call would cover another call within 30 days. Matt was pleasant, got right to work and appeared to know his business. I will call him again if the starter no longer works.

 + -1 moreThey promised to order and install a doorlatch to my frontload washing machine. Made arrangements Monday, they were getting the part to arrive Thursday. Wed, talked to them again to verify installation time as Fri between 11 and 1. Friday 11:02am they called to say the part never came, it's not available by their usual supplier, sorry they couldn't fix my washer. The nearest they might get it is next week. Unacceptable promise of service and lack of delivery. If they'd checked with parts company as they placed the order, they could've determined part unavailable instead of making me wait in vain all week without use of my washer with a large family with 4 kids!! I would've gone with another repair company that could provide timelier service.
