Before I start this review, I feel that I need to clarify a few things. I have had the same cleaning company taking care of my home in Ohio for nine (9) years with very few problems even when the girls changed from time to time. I have a husband and wife team that cleans our business in Ohio and I am very happy with them also. I have another husband and wife team that has been cleaning both of our businesses in Florida since 2004. I am not new to cleaning companies. Everything in our home is new? all of the floors ceilings, tile and even the furniture, cabinets and appliances. Any dirt that was not cleaned was left by this companies employees. They can't say it was there before they started cleaning. It was all new? they were the first to clean it. That said: I contacted Rhonda James from Custom Cleaning about cleaning my home in Florida last year. She was prompt to the appointment and seemed professional. We discussed the work to be done and she sent out two people. After they left, I noticed that corners weren't clean, and only the fronts of stands were dusted (not the sides against the couches or walls), silk plants only cleaned on the outside 6 inches of the leaves and other things that I had asked to be done and paid extra for were not completed properly. The following weeks I saw that the same things were not done again and that it was happening due to only one of the two cleaners. I called Rhonda and at first she sided with the girls until I sent her pictures, then she apologized, talked to the cleaners and sent them out to correct the problems. Things went well for a while, then it started again and I noticed that on the cleaning days when I was not home, corners were cut. My neighbor/dog walkers told me that on one occasion the cleaners came and left in 1 1/4 hours instead of 2 1/2 hours. Once again Rhonda sent out two different people. We had painters at the house that particular week in the "upstairs hallway and master bedroom". The cleaners were to do a deep cleaning ($265) , but they said when they got to the house they couldn't work because the painters still had things "everywhere" so they just left. I was told later that day that they didn't clean. If you saw my home you would understand that there was no reason not to clean the bathroom, kitchen, living room, two spare bedrooms and the patio as they are all on the first floor and it was only the upstairs master bedroom & hallway that were being painted. I had company coming for the week and dust everywhere! When I called Rhonda I was told that the one girl was a good employee, but that she was "temper mental" and that Rhonda would try to speak to her but did not want to get her upset. Really????? What about the person who is paying her to "not" do a job? (I paid them for one day because Rhonda insisted that they couldn't clean, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt). She didn't have anyone else available for the next 5 days. What a disaster. I had also asked them never to do my laundry, but they went ahead and took the cloths out of the dryer and folded them and put the cloths out of the washer into the dryer. Problem was, my husbands 100% cotton shirt was in the washer. It shrunk. Again a phone call to Rhonda and again and apology? I made it clear for the second time that I never wanted them to touch my laundry. I had done this through the office manager both times. No offer to pay for the shirt. Another week they were two hours early. I was on the phone for work and the dogs went crazy when they walked in the door. I said "Wow you're early, I really wish that you would have called me to let me know", she gave me a nasty look, turned and walked away from me scowling and then proceeded to ignored me the rest of the time they were in my home. My husband was home that day and he wanted to ask her leave immediately! I should have let him! By this time I was really not happy at having this "temperamental" person in my home, but I thought I would give it one last try. This week when I came home from work I found that, although I still have dust between the washer and dryer, dog hair under my bed and my feet stick to the kitchen floor, they managed to find time to put my laundry into the dryer and again ruin another cotton shirt. This time when I called the office I was told by Rhonda, "Well, I talked to them earlier and they said they just folded the cloths out of the dryer and took the sheets out of the washer and put them in the dryer. They said didn't see any blouses in the washer. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. When I asked them "never" to do any laundry, how does that equate to, they just folded some cloths & put the sheets in the dryer. My two cotton blouses were in with the sheets and a few other things that I don't bleach. When I told her that I was done with this and that I shouldn't have to worry that this girl is going to be upset with me in my own home, she started to say that "maybe I should look??" I stopped her mid sentence because apparently she didn't get what "I'm done with this" means. I explained to her that I had already found a cleaner earlier in the day. I never raised my voice, but I was truly upset. I have never had such a bad experience with house cleaners before and I probably won't wait so long to find the right one next time.
