Even though the project was finished, I wasn't satisfied with the process I had to go through. I contacted for the person in April. They came and saw that they could actually do it, they actually came back and started the door around April 28 and I never heard back from them anymore. I called them several times, I even sent out emails in order to get it resolved, because there was a part missing from the door, just a small part at the bottom of the door. I had to go through the dispute resolution center to actually get it resolved. It took me from around April 28th up until June to get this resolved, which I thought was not a good process, because I had already prepaid for the door. Even with the resolution process, they wanted me to go through the Better Business Bureau and I paid the money directly to Angie's List to file a complaint against the person. I told them initially that I don't want to get the person in trouble, all I want is my storm door fixed. Once it was resolved, they said I couldn't give them a rating less than a B, so I just did not go out and grade them because I didn't feel that was fair. I gave negative feedback, and I told them that I was so dissatisfied that I gave them an F. I contacted Angie's List on May 15, and they said that they gave him up to June 06th to respond, so I called them after June 06th and I said you haven't heard from him, I haven't heard from him, I want a refund, because based on the contract with Angie's List, I was due for a refund if I was dissatisfied. At first he told me that his son had injured himself and so he postponed the installment, so I said that was fine, I can deal with that, but then I kept calling him and he never responded, and the day he came to install the storm door in June, he said he had no reason for not coming. I was thinking that if it was out of his jurisdiction, then he should have stated that when I spoke with him on phone when I called to talk about the service that I was seeking. I got an email saying that I could not give him a less than B rating since the work was completed. I don't think that is fair, because my hands are tied, so I am not going to give you a good experience, because I don't want anyone to experience was I experienced. He did excellent work, it was just the professionalism and the timing of it, he just wasn't a reliable person. He removed the screen door, and he told me that the screen door that was on the Angie's List offer was not what he was offering, so when he came here with the screen door, because all I wanted was a screen door and not a storm door, so he had to make some modifications because the one he brought had all these wires against it to protect it, so like a dog can't scratch it, and we don't have pets. I paid $249 so I wouldn't say it was a good thing. I got a discount so I paid about $244 for it.

Explained everything he did & why. Weather-stripping provided an instant improvement in drafts & sound reduction. Doors close smoothly & locks operate like new.

We scheduled same day service from when he called about the purchase. Worked late to accommodate my schedule and was in and out in about 30 minutes. I can't believe the difference in the door motion...now I have to worry about pinching my fingers because it rolls so fast and smooth!

Jim showed up right on time for the initial meeting/evaluation. As mentioned above, he ended up making a recommendation that ended up saving us money while also improving the value/function of the property. He recommended a certain brand of storm door and once we selected which one we wanted, he ordered it for us (he gave us the option of ordering it, but I felt more comfortable having him do it to ensure the proper size, etc. was ordered - especially since one was a custom size). The doors took three weeks to come in and he kept us up to date on the status. He was very flexible scheduling the day the work was to be done because it had to be coordinated with the tenant (who is very difficult). It was an approx. 5-6 hour job and again he showed up on time and did a great job. The doors looked awesome! About 3 months later with all the rain/humidity, one of the wood frames that the storm door was mounted on moved causing the door to not close properly. I called him and he came out the same week (on a Saturday no less) and not only fixed the issue, but went above and beyond in terms of securing the frame so that it would not happen again and actually did some work to the interior (original exterior) door to ensure that it was flush as well. When I asked him how much I owed him, he did not want anything. I would definitely recommend Mr. Pro Home Improvement!!

He made an appointment for a Saturday. We waited all day and he never showed up. Sent him an email and he rescheduled for the following Saturday. He mentioned he lost his cell phone. On the following appointment showed up at the last minute and spent several hours working on the door. He did take several breaks during the work which I though were excessive. It seems he did not have the right tools or experience the job required. I purchased the $99 special and he informed me it would be $125 for the second door. which I agreed too. After he finally had the rollers on the doors seem to still be loose and did no closed properly. He informed me I needed a track cover at an additional cost. I was not happy with this I should have replaced the whole door. He installed the track which definitely made it better. However the doors are still misaligned and are hard to close and lock.

He was fast friendly and did a great job. Very fair and honest. I would definitely hire him again.

I found local suppliers for the window he recommended, and I was really shocked when Jim gave me the numbers. The measurements of the window are 79"x7". He sent me a quote of $950 for my "8-foot window". My window is only 79 inches. The window suppliers I found through my extensive legwork sell the window for about $330. I also found out through various companies that do installation that an installation charge for this window should be about $175-$200, and I also found from the vendor that Thermatrue windows are incredibly easy to replace. I asked Jim how his $950 broke down, as the price was at least $150 too high for the work involved, and that I would be willing to pay him the $330 for the window so that he wasn't operating at a loss. I felt that was very generous. He responded that if I didn't like his bid, I was more than welcome to find another company and get a refund through Angie's List. Even before all of this, we had issues with his responsiveness and punctuality, as he was difficult to contact and he arrived two hours late for our appointment. I will take his advice and claim my refund, so that I might work with someone else who has a reasonable rate for their labor.

Terrible experience. Not what I expected. I had to make several attempts to contact Jim, at MR PRO, before getting a response. I initially spoke with Jim on April 16 and he stated that the door advertised by Angie's List was not correct. I explained that I wanted a plain white door with just a screen and we scheduled the installation for April 22. Jim sent me an email on the 22nd explaining that he needed to reschedule the because he didn't have my phone number. I emailed Jim my phone number, availability and we rescheduled for 4/28/16 between 2:30-3:30pm. Jim arrived, removed existing door, and began installing storm door with lock. When I went to see how the installation was going, I noticed that the door was not what I expected as it had additional parts, basically for people who had pets. I asked if he could remove those parts because we don't have pets and he did. However, he was unable to complete the installation because the bottom part of the door was missing. He explained that the manufacturer had not send the needed part and that he would return in a couple of days. On May 4th, I emailed Jim because I had not heard back and wanted to get an update on the part and when he was planning to complete the job. Jim never responded, so again on May 10th I emailed Jim letting him know it had been over a week with no response from him. I then contacted Angie's List Customer Service and explain the problem. The representative asked if I wanted to file a complaint but I told her that I didn't want to give him a bad review and damage his relationship with Angie's List and potential customers. I then took the representative's advice and called Jim at MR PRO. He informed me that his son had been in a car accident but was doing okay and that he would come by on Saturday morning (14). I explained that I would not be home but he was welcome to come since he could complete the work without my being present and there were no papers for me to sign. When I returned home on Saturday around 12:30pm, I noticed that the work had not been completed and figured Jim would come later during the day. Jiim never showed and never called. I knew my limited warranty expired soon, so I called customer service on the 15th to get assistance about the next step and filing a complaint.. To date, I still have not heard from Jim and the work is still incomplete. This is unacceptable.

He was on time to his appointment with me. Very professional and thorough on the work he performed. Both door where installed and lined up perfectly. His attention to detail on making sure everything lined up perfectly was great. I will definitely hire him again to install several more doors on my property.

This was our first purchase on Angie's List and I can't recommend Jim highly enough. Our sliding door had become heavy and difficult to move so we were even weighing up replacing it, but then I saw the promotion to have it serviced. Jim set up an appointment and arrived as promised. He worked on the door and we were really pleased at how well it worked after he had finished. He suggested a new handle for the door which was a slight extra cost, but well worth it as it has made it much easier to operate from inside. Overall we're very happy and wouldn't hesitate to use Jim for other jobs in our home and recommend him to others.

Jim arrived on time and was very friendly and pleasant. He got right to work. He had to do some cutting, drilling, and planing of the new door to get it to fit and line up with our existing door frame. He put new weather stripping on the new door for us at no additional charge. He also had to realign our security system contacts on the door. I am so glad we paid him to do this work as my husband has installed 3 interior doors in our home and none of them work exactly right. The new door looks great and has a nice snug fit. Jim even took extra time to work on a problem window which was sticking so badly that I couldn't even get it open. He only charged $40 to do that work and I am so thrilled! We will definitely use him again and recommend him to others.

We tried to schedule an appointment for him to come out and work on our doors. Sometimes he would answer quickly, and sometimes it would take over a week to get a response, or I would have to send follow-up messages in order to get a response. When he would tell me a time he could schedule and I would respond, I wouldn't get confirmation and then the appointment wouldn't happen. So I never ended up being able to schedule despite many messages back-and-forth.

Jim did an excellent job. He was thorough and cleaned well. Very courteous also. I would recommend Jim and plan on doing more work with him in the near future.

NEVER use Mr. Pro as he is an a matey at best and a fraud at worst. I purchase 2 hours of door Maintance and all I got was 10 minutes of door inspection. He told me he needed to order parts and he would come back. He never returned did not answer my calls and when I finally got a response on email he told me to hire someone else to do the work and refuses to give me a refund. NEVER NEVER NEVER hire this conman.

Took several attempts to get an appointment scheduled and the service provider to our house, but we were flexible and the quality of work was excellent. We would bring back Mr Pro Home Improvement for future work on our doors or windows.

The Job was done as expected. It should be noted that replacing wheels on one door takes about 30 minutes and requires parts which cost about $15, so the $99 charge for the trip and repairing one door is not unreasonable. However, it seems to me that if additional doors are fixed on the same visit, the additional cost should be no more than about $65/door. That would represent a labor charge of about $100/hr for a job which requires no more than basic handyman skills.

without my inout it would not have been done properly, He drilled unnecessary holes in the drywall. He wasting to move the wrong wiring. After a time out I asked him to finish on a second day. When he came he finished the mounting and started the clean-up and mending of the holes. He ws unable to complete it because of lack of materials and poor planning. He did not come back for another week and a half.

Jim did a great job. The sliding mechanisms in four windows were broken. I received an estimate for $4000 to replace them. I found Mr. Pro who quoted me $75 each to repair them. I had two doors that didn't close properly and the front door needed weather stripping replaced. Jim did all the work in less than 2 hours. I am very satisfied. It is awesome to open the windows in March before the heat sets in. Will definitely call Jim again and refer him to friends and neighbors.

The technician mounted the TV on the wall and fiddled for a while with the installation and left without finishing the job. I called him the following day and he explained to me that he was very busy and couldn't come back until the following Monday. I thought this was too long to wait and I called Angie's List to complain and they gave a couple of names to call. I couldn't get either to come so I waited until Monday for Mr. Pro. On Monday I called Mr. Pro at 8:00 in the morning, then at 9:00, 10:00 and 11:00 am., left messages every time except at 10:00 to call me back and to this date, I have not heard from them. I called Best Buy and got the Geek Squad to come check the TV and found out that the mother board was burned. The fact that Mr. Pro abandoned the job and never returned to finish the job nor answered to all the attempts that I made to contact him, indicates to me that he did something wrong.

The serviceman called to let us know he was on the way, showed up on time. Was in, changed out the sliding door rollers, cleaned the tracks, gave some advice on keeping the door up. Was pleasant and I could see his experience, he finished the job and was gone in under an hour. Very respectful and we would definitely use this service again.

It went okay. My slider on one side is tougher to slide than it used to be which concerns me but I've not contacted the provider. He was punctual and quick and generally quite professional. He handled the doors by himself where before I'd had two mean working on them.
