 + -1 moreThe previous owner of my home had installed a plastic skylight on my tile roof. Whomever installed the plastic skylight did a terrible job, and the wood flashing rotted away and began to leak into my attic. I called Brent Griffith Roofing, and Brent responded the next day to offer an estimate. The estimate was for $500.00, which included the new skylight (approximately $300.00) and all the labor. After agreeing to the estimate, Troy and Duane arrived the next morning to install the skylight. All of Brent Griffith Roofing's employees were punctual, courteous and professional. Troy and Duane installed the sky light in about an hour to an hour and a half and did a professional job. Brent Griffith Roofing honored the coupon found on Angie's List to bring the total price of my repair down to $475.00.
Description of Work: Removed a plastic skylight that had cracked and began to leak, and installed a double-paned glass skylight.

Description of Work: The first day in our new home, while sitting our new expansive Florida room-- a room that to us was one of the major reasons for buying this home--it leaked. There we were, my wife and I, scrambling for pails to catch the water dripping from the ceiling. We were upset not only with the leak, but the deceptive tactics of the seller in not disclosing this. We started to second-guess our buying decision and the value of our new home. The next day I called several Angie's List roofers for estimates. While some lagged in their response, Brent Griffith of B. Griffith Roofing responded immediately by phone and in person the next day. Brent had installed a conventional roof on our other property 3 yrs ago and did a magnificent job. Due to his professionalism, analytical skills, a friendly, consumer-conscious personality he put us at ease immediately, and within 20 min found the root of the problem. He assured us we had nothing to worry about. He knew exactly how to fix this leaking aluminum roof. And he'd guarantee it would be fixed permanently. We were ecstatic! One major difference between his competitors and him: Brent went beyond the typical industry 5-yr workmanship warranty and decided to give us a15 yr workmanship warranty, which matched his manufacturer's 15-yr product warranty (others only had a 10-yr). He wanted us to feel confident that it wouldn't leak again. His competitors (also on Angie's List) refused to do this. Even if I wanted to pay them extra, they wouldn't offer a workmanship warranty beyond 5 yrs. Moreover, Brent didn't charge us extra for the extra 10 yrs! Subsequently, our homeowner's association-who knew of our problem and was privy to Brent's solution, warranty, and workmanship-has put him on their preferred vendor list for any roofing projects including being considered in the future to replace all 120 conventional roofs in our development.

 + -1 moreThey gave us a warranty on the shingles. The shingles were high quality. They were very nice to deal with. Also, they were great about cleaning up everything. They even went around with magnets afterwards to make sure they had all the nails. I think that the price was fair and they did everything and more of what was expected of them.
Description of Work: They took the old tile off and put on new shingles. They also replaced some of the plywood. They did do the whole roof.

He came the same day, gave an estimate, and did the repair work the following morning. Very satisfied with the price and the work. What a pleasure to call someone and have them come out right away and complete the job when they said they would, and do the job correctly. They will definitely be the first roofer on our call list for repairs.

This was a 2,000 square foot job and they had the work completed in just two days! They cleaned up well when they were finished. I have nothing bad to say about them, they did an excellent job! If needed, I would use them again.

 + -1 moreI would definitely call them again, and probably will have them repair the roof on my garage apartment. Everyone was as nice as they could be and they did not use any foul language, even the radio was quiet.
Description of Work: They tore off my old roof and completely replaced it as well as a lot of the plywood underneath. They cleared the roof off in 1 day and had it replaced within 2. They also repaired my chimney.

Owner Brent Griffith came out two days later as scheduled and carefully explained what would be needed--resealing points where near horizontal roof met protruding vent pipes from below inside. The same afternoon two people came out and completed the job. No hitches; no surprises. Very pleasant people to deal with.

He followed up with my questions with written information as promised and we contracted with him to do our job. A small tear was made in the porch screen and Brett subtracted the price of its repair from the roof cost with no problem at all. The roof is beautiful and the grounds were left clean and neat.

After we decided to go with his company he was able to get the job done that afternoon!! The 2 workers were very polite and clean. We would definitely use them again!!

 + -1 moreIt took several months to get to the bottom of the problem, but we appreciated the fact that Mr. Griffith didn't immediately quote the "Cadillac" fix but attempted to solve the problem first with a "Ford." We ended up with the more involved solution, but it was done correctly and appropriately, we believe.
Description of Work: Repaired leaking roof over screened porch. This was a two-phase job. The first attempt at fixing the roof consisted of removing shingles and installing pan flashing and new cedar shingles. After this was done, we had several hard rains and found there were still places leaking in the roof. We called Mr. Griffith, and he came right out and spent over an hour inspecting the roof in detail and doing further patching. He said if we still had problems, he would recommend further work that would involve replacing the existing valley with a larger one. After further rains produced more leaking, we contracted to have the second phase done. That did the job! No more leaks. Mr. Griffith was thorough, honest, dependable, and knows his business well. The workers he sent out were good workers and were neat and courteous.

Workers were quick to tear off old roof, they were clean and left no debris. Two roofers appeared the next day and after 2 or 3 days the roof was completed and again no debris was left. It rained pretty hard between the completion date and the inspection date. Did not see any evidence of leaks. Job appears to be very professionally done.
