It took six weeks to schedule in a one-day sod and mulch project, and a little more interim schedule communication would have been helpful. However, they did a fantastic job. All of the crew members were courteous and professional. The materials and workmanship are top-notch. I'm a professional property investor and renovator, and this was a good value from my perspective. I will use this contractor again, and would highly recommend them.

Owner Scott and the project manager Tim were both very professional, helpful and knowledgeable. However, the salesman, Sean, who followed up on my initial inquiry on Home Advisor and booked the job for CSW ended up being pretty incompetent--and the project hinged on the initial work/estimate he did. My opinion of the company is generally positive only because the owner Scott took initiative and worked through the problems that came up. But the experience of working with them left me feeling regretful that I chose this company to begin with. Working with them made me feel like I didn't make the best choice. I had pavers installed, and sod taken up and new sod put down--no plantings, no design work, no irrigation. Basic, clear cut sod and paver installation--shouldn't have been complicated. We do have a big yard so it was not a cheap project. Sean took the 50% deposit with a promise to finish the work before we left for an overseas trip to Asia. We were at the end of a long, drawn out major remodel and eager to get to the end--a major reason I picked them--they could get the work done on our time line! They could not cash my check fast enough, and as soon as it was cashed, I got a call from Sean that the paver materials they quoted was not available and if I wanted that particular kind, I would have to wait. It went downhill from there and the project ended up costing several thousand dollars more as we ended up buying more expensive materials and more labor just to get the job done before we left. Sean's measurements were inaccurate. He forgot to measure an area where I wanted them to install pavers and completely ignored sodding the back yard/pool area--major mistake/oversight that ended up costing us more money as it was apparently not included in the contract I signed. My fault for not taking measurements myself to make sure Sean's numbers were correct, I guess. He completely left out the sod in our backyard in his pricing, so there was not enough sod ordered for the whole yard, then Sean made it look like I was making things up when I called him out on the mistake! We were not out to get something more than we had originally agreed to do and Sean's inability to pay attention to the details cost us a lot more money than we had planned to spend. Sean didn't return calls or texts as I tried to follow up on getting the remaining sod installed. We got a response only after my husband cancelled a check we gave them to cover the additional work. Frankly, we weren't sure they were even going to come back! It was inconvenient to have to do more follow up from long distance just to make sure the work was completed as promised. It all worked out in the end, but the frustration, annoyance, and unexpected expense, left a bad taste so I cannot really give them a better review given how the problems could have been avoided if the salesman was better trained at doing his job. They created and installed a sprinkler system for my double lot. There were several considerations: a drip system for my rose garden, regular sprinkler heads for already established garden and a carefully planned sprinkle scheme for newly planted gardens.They delivered the product and cleaned up post project better than I would have cleaned up. Great value for the $$$$$$$$$. They lived up to every statement they made in the planning phase.

At first my bill was going to be $300.00 that same day it ended up over $700.00. I paid them off to get rid of them. Massey called me the following day to tell me they were going to find the four valve zone for $ 300.00 the day after the work already had been done. It is worth waiting for Massey to bid your job. Hire a professional like Massey. HomeAdvisor does not screen the company's they represent. I would never use HomeAdvisor again. Buyer beware.

On schedule, on time, completed quickly

Communication with this company is excellent. They are very patient, using phone, email and revisits to the house to explain what they were going to do as well as the alternatives. Project involved installing a french drain system for our back yard which floods badly during a heavy rain. The work was completed on time, the workers and reps were pleasant and polite, and the price was reasonable.

Sorry for length but please read all! I can not recommended that you do business with this company. Let’s start my experience from the beginning. The main reason I had called them was you grade, slope, and level my yard as I get lost of standing water by the house when it rains and also to remove my banana trees and a tree I had by the pool. When they came out all this was discussed and I was quoted a huge amount but I was given a fairly good discount because I was military and this made the price more reasonable (but stull over pried in my opinion). We decided to higher them to do the work as discussed and written in the work order that they wrote while evaluating the property with me. This is when the problems began (after they got my half deposit), it took two weeks to finally get a date that they would start working which was almost a month after I paid the deposit for work. Once the date came they were supposed to start work on, no one showed up at the house and no one called me to tell me they would not be coming or to reschedule. This would happen another 3 times over two weeks and each time I would get home, see no one had come, and call to see why they didn’t show up again like they said. I understand delays happen because of rain and what not but you can at least call and let me know. Finally the work begins. The first day they came and cleaned up the yard but only trimmed my banana trees. When I arrived home I told them they were supposed to remove the banana trees. The yard did look alot better thought. Later I got a phone call saying that work order only stated “clean and trim” not remove even though they were discussed to be removed (verbiage got me there my fault). They also missed some shrubs in the front that were supposed to go as well but they did remove them after I said something. The next day they did some work and tried to pass it off as a final product. They sloped nothing away from my house and did absolutely nothing in my back yard behind my house. While walking around with them I pointed out these things and that a lot still needed to be done. This would continue another 4 times. Yes I had to walk around the yard with them 4 times to make sure they did the work they were supposed to and that it was done properly, which it still isn't in my opinion. Each other time it just looked like they tried to make it look like they did work but nothing was done. On the work order it states level, grade, and slope away from house on both sides and in the back yard. Apparently instead of doing the job right and removing dirt to properly slope away from the house they just decided they were going to make swells to flow the water away in the sides of my house. This would be fine if they actually worked and drained water away from the house and where stopped and wider. Also the work order clearly stated they were to install French drains. Great people to work with. They responded to all my requests. My neighbor, 86 years old, hired them and I acted as foreman for her job. I recommended that she hire them. Jerry came out with his estimate. We made some changes. They did a great job.
