Very well. Jim responds to phone messages very quickly. He came and did the estimate when he said he would which was about three days after the first phone message. He provided the estimate immediately. We scheduled the work for a date and his workers came and did the work as scheduled and on time. It was well done and timely. The price is not cheap but the work is done well and the company can be counted on. Jim also notices others things that might be troubling. For example, he pointed out that we were overwatering our lawn.

I hired this company (it was recommended by one of the large nursery outlets) to do some landscaping around a pool at a home I was renting. The owner came out and spent a good deal of time talking with me about appropriate vegetation choices and what would work best and he was very solicitous of my budget. He did the work in a timely way and was highly professional and was right on budget. He even threw in some sprinkler relocations that weren't part of the original project. Great experience (and all the plants survived!!)

The owner came out and was very professional. He gave me a straight forward quote and stayed within the quote. He didn't try to up sell what I asked for or what I needed.

Recently purchased a home on a half acre that had been severly neglected. The vegetation was so overgrown that I couldn't walk around the house. I would get so far and then the growth was so thick, i had to go bac around in the other direction. I really couldn't see the whole house. I could not see my neighbors or the street in front of the house. Although that may sound nice and private, it was just such a tangle of vines and overgrown weeds it was really not attractive. Jim came out and gave me an estimate on Thursday and was able to start work the following Monday. I'm not really into plants or gardening, but I wanted something that would be more aesthetically appealing. He walked the property with me and we discussed what I wanted, what he recommended and which, if any, of the current vegetation I wanted to keep. Jim and Santiago spent 3 days clearing and cutting and mulching. The result is perfect. I was a little nervouse that it would end up looking too bare, but Jim left just enough vegetation and plants to make it very attractive. There were several large trees that he cleared around and he mulched several areas as well. He also gave me some great ideas for things I could do in the future to make it even better. He had some good ideas of how to deal with a major drainage problem on my property an I will definitely call him back when I am ready to address that issue.

We've always had some drainage issues with the north east corner of our property and the issues became a pretty big problem for us during Tropical Storm Debby when water actually came into the house as a result. We had Jim come out to re-grade the property to help divert any water away from the home and out towards the street. The quality of the work was excellent as we had a period of very heavy rain only a few days after the work was completed and the drainage of the yard worked exactly as hoped. We had about 15 yards of dirt removed during the digging and instead of charging to have it taken away Jim was able to re-use that by moving it to another part of the property where we had experienced some erosion. The estimate was concise and honest and the price was very reasonable. All in all we were very pleased and we'll certainly use Jim again in the future on any additional projects we have in mind. We've already recommended him to a few friends that were looking to have similar work done on their property.

Good job! Everything went well and working great. System had set idle for years and valves were not marked but he was able to find the broken valves and replace. Very good water pressure now. Yard is looking good again!

They did excellent work. They were prompt. They gave us a good estimate, and they worked with us and kept the cost down. They did an absolutely beautiful job on the irrigation system. I would not hesitate having them come to my house. I have recommended them to 5-6 people.

Second Nature did the same work for us last year. They even came back several months later at no charge to spray for weeds. Of course, I called them again this year. They are always on time, do a wonderfu job, tweak little areas, clean up all debris, and charge a fair price. I'll keep their number on my A list!

As far as their professionalism, when I had called them, I found it very abrupt. They sent me an estimate, but based on my three telephone conservations with them, I decided not to go with them. My experience in the whole estimate process was negative. When they said that they don't work in my area, I said that I would provide the accommodation. I had given my work phone number, and when they couldn't get me on that number, they left messages for me. When I finally got them on the phone, they said that my phone network was bad. They were very curt in response to me. I said if I'm going to have any issues like this just over phone, then I can't work with them.

Met with James for initial consultation. He drew up a plan and an estimate. James was a pleasure to work with, very easy going. I decided to use Second Nature also based on reviews and its a smaller company with more attention to detail. James and his crew to all the work. Work was started within a week. Everything went perfect. Looks Great. Changed the whole appearance of the front of the house. Getting compliments from the neighbors.

He came out for an estimate. Showed me what was causing the problem. I used another paver company that was doing my neighbor also.

Went very well from Start to Finish. Most of the work was performed in 3 days. One to remove old yard and two to plant and finish. Work was completed March 17, 2012 , Burrage Warner

It went very well .Came about 8.00 in the morning went to work cleaned up the front of house planted the grass and bushes,the side of house cleaned out weeds dead plants.

The project went very well and each day the crew showed up at the appointed time and worked tirelessly. No difficulties were noted and materials were on time and in required amount. Jim did save me a few hundred dollars because he did not use as much river rock as he anticipated. The plants and bushes are low maintenance as we wanted and are very decorative. Overall a great job and crew to whom I would recommend to anyone needing landscaping.

Jim returned my call the same day when I found him on Angie's List. The whole experience felt like a home improvement show on HGTV! Every day there was so much progress. With the enormous amount of work to be done, Jim figured out a seamless schedule that could be done to accommodate all of the work. Each project (and there were a lot of individual projects!) exceeded our expectations. We had a choice of products throughout the process and we even visited a bamboo garden and nursery where Jim educated us on the different plants available to us. Jim and his crew are professional and courteous, respectful and hard-working. We will have Second Nature landscaping back without hesitation. We encourage you to go with this company, you'll be happy you did.

They are great. He's prompt and easy to work with. He doesn't try to oversell us and he gives us all kinds of options. He's a pretty honest person. We would absolutely use them again.

Jim was extremely easy to work with. He inquired about our goals as well as listened to what we were expecting and hoping to accomplish in our new backyard. He honestly gave his expert opinion. My husband is very knowledgeable regarding plants and design. Jim and my husband worked as a team. We met at a wholesale nursery to discuss the merits of different plants and make our selections. Jim and my husband worked together laying out the plants. Jim proved to be flexible when some changes were made and requests for a few more of this and that were brought the second day to fill-in areas that needed something more. Jim and his team were always professional and respectful, always punctual. It was a wonderful experience and we highly recommend Second Nature for landscaping and irrigation work. We had a flooding problem in our backyard because it is small and it couldn't handle the water from 4 roof gutters, so Jim and his team installed 2 underground drains that carry the water all the way out to the street. It took them around 2 days to complete the job. After the installation was completed, we had a heavy reain and the drains worked great, our backyard was not flooded anymore. Jim is very professional and made sure the job was done right! We will definitely work with him again.

James kept me informed of progress each step of the way. He and his crew showed up when they said they would and the work was done in a very proffessional manner. Area was totally cleaned up when they finished.
