We have used Peninsula Tree Service several times. Tony is prompt, courteous, reasonable and professional

Got the estimate and accepted bid. Called Tony and set up day for work. Tony and helper arrived on time and did work on hot summer day in about 3 hrs. Involved climbing two tall Washingtonia palms.

It did not go. Got the original estimate on April 11th, 2018, and was told their was approximately a two week wait to have the job done. After obtaining several other estimates, I called Tony back on April 24th, 2018, and told him we wanted to have his company perform the work based on their estimated cost, as well as their overall positive reviews on Angie's list. Got to be the middle of May and still no word on when we would have the tree removed. Tried twice over the next two weeks but Tony said his climber was sick and they were behind due to that. Finally we agreed on June 12th, 2018, to get things done. I followed up with a phone call June 11th, 2018, and Tony informed me that his climber had quit and they wouldn't be coming because of that. Needless to say, we are more than a little dissatisfied with the response here, especially with such glowing reviews on Angie's list. I think we all understand that things happen from time to time that call for adjustments to well laid plans, but it feels like we were strung along for several weeks here and I think that is just not acceptable.

The agreement was to remove two trees and grind the stump of the one in the front yard. He asked to split up the job and do the one in the front yard first. I agreed. He came out the next day and began work. I set off to go to work and he asked that I pay him. No problem. I wrote him a check for the full completed work in the front yard. He cut down the tree, chipped the branches and hauled off the large pieces. Then he left. No stump grinding. I called several times and left messages to no avail. I left a final message today cancelling the work in the back yard.

I received a quote from Peninsula in February, then obtained a county tree removal permit myself and had it in-hand on March 5th. Peninsula advised they would likely be out within the next couple of weeks. They did not arrive after three weeks, so I called and learned their truck was broken. After another two weeks of waiting, was told the truck broke again. Finally, I received a call that all was fixed and they would be out "next week." That was two weeks ago, and they have not called or started any of the tree work. As I write this, it's May 12th, a full eight weeks past the original date which Peninsula said they could do the work. I just had to go through the legwork to hire a new tree service.

Very well! Got done ahead of schedule because of opening availability. Everything I expected was done, everything was clean in the end. Great job!

We had used Peninsula in 2015 when we needed a pine removed and the pretty much the same Palms addressed and they were every bit professional. Intervening years we hired local fellows touting their tree service and lived to regret it [... their shoddy ways fortunately didn't result in claims against our homeowners insurance]. When Tony wasn't able to come out on the original appointed date he gave plenty of notice and asked if he could come on the weekend, instead, an appointment he made and kept. By this time I'd met w/ 2 other tree companies and knew the extent of work they were suggesting and quoting. Tony's estimate, at $700, was most reasonable and remained so, even after 'Stevens' gave a quote the following Tuesday. It was understood that since this wasn't a big job for this St. Pete operation it could be scheduled when Tony & crew were available. The work was arranged for last Friday, a little over 2 weeks from when the job was estimated. The fellows arrived promptly, got straight to work and were finished w/i several hours time. There was a great deal of climbing, sawing, and carting of heavy tree pieces and it was clear that the team worked well and in unison. My husband was asked if he was satisfied w/ the work before they left and 'satisfied' would be mild praise. He felt that, for the money paid, Peninsula most definitely earned what was charged. Further, they most likely will get asked to do future years' pruning WITHOUT the fahlderahl of getting competing bids.

Awesome! Tony, did a fabulous job. Extremely professional and at a great price. They used a crane for my job. The only way you could tell they were there , was the tree was gone. Great cleanup. You will not be disappointed!

I have used Peninsula Tree Service for many years. Tony called me as soon as he was back in town after evacuating because of the storm. He came out two days later and removed the damaged tree and numerous tree branches that were also damaged in on the property. His estimates are always very fair and the work is always perfect!

I have using Peninsula Tree Service for several years now. I always get a quick response from Tony and they always do a great job. when he is finished with the tree it always looks great!

Went very well, about 6 hours of uninterrupted work, cleanup was great (!), removed all cut items and raked. Tony is quite friendly and easy to talk with. He also was the primary removal of cut-dropped branches, his team-member was up in the tree typically. Very good workers. Skilled. Neat. I only marked "fair" on the price as I have little experience in paying tree cutters except once prior with 3 large Maples in our backyard (another State) that took 3 acrobatic guys w/ ropes to thin-out, and that cost us about $650.00 if I recall correctly. Tony also educated me that Pine trees are protected a bit in Pinellas County and therefore cannot be trimmed down too far. He also noted a County vehicle drove by once, briefly....likely called by another home on the Street, and he explained that the County typically ensures correct licensed work is accomplished without illegal activity taking place.

Excellent, this is the second time I have used Peninsula - Tony is great and prices are fair. There were many obstructions (other fences, power lines, patio, etc.) and it went well.

It went well, and they were flexible with the scheduling. The tree in the back yard had grown into the power lines feeding my house. Tony was able to come out within a couple of days to take care of that limb, separate from taking the tree down -- which was fortunate because the removal was delayed by a tropical storm. If the wire had still been in the tree, it may well have disrupted service. The work was done well, and they cleaned up everything. I had asked about some additional work, but it fell through the cracks and never got done, which is why the score for "responsiveness" is a little lower -- but I never followed up on it, either.

Great! Tony and crew always do a professional job, I could ask for nothing more. They do exactly what I want and clean up after themselves. I will use them again and again.

Great job. Tony did miss a due date, but considering all the rain we experienced, it is unstandable. He did a great job and left the yard spotless. No limbs,branches, or leaves.
