I emailed Peninsula Tree Service for a request of estimate. Tony emailed the following day and scheduled a time to come out on July 3rd after 6PM. Tony called when he was running late and arrived around 7PM. He evaluated the trees, listened to what I was looking for, and provided a reasonable estimate that was lower than the competition. I decided on the spot to work with Tony. He said he was backed up about 2 weeks, which was okay with me. Two weeks passed and I didn't hear from Tony. I contacted Tony on July 23 to find out when I could expect him. He called immediately and we decided that he would do the service on July 24. He called on the 24th to reschedule to the 25th. He hurt his back and needed an extra day to recover. Tony came out on the 25th and provided the service. He did everything I expected and cleaned up everything. You couldn't even tell he was here with how good they cleaned up. My advice is to keep in contact with Tony. I am not sure if I hadn't called on the 23rd if my trees would have been trimmed on the 25th. His services are A+, but I did rate a B on Responsiveness. I would use Peninsula Tree Service again as needed.

Contacted the company, they informed me they had a guy that did that for them and they would have him call me. I recieved a call back within an hour with a price and a time he would do it. Randy showed up on time, he was friendly and professional. Awesome job and was for the price quoted.

He showed up when he said he would. He provided an estimate that beat the others. We didn't want to butcher the oak, and had very specific directions. He followed as directed. He cleaned up his mess and left afterwards. I received a receipt in the mail in the following days. It was after a busy storm week, and he was catching up on the weekend. The owner did the work with an associate.

Work was not done. Numerous calls and messages went unanswered for weeks until I was finally able to talk to a woman answering the phone, who assured me Tony would call back later that day, which he did but I was away from my phone. Tony left a message asking me to call back. I spoke with Tony the next day, and he informed me that his chipper was broken, which was the reason why he hadn't been able to do the work. Told me he would notify me when it was repaired. More weeks of calls and messages from me, which resulted in only one call back leaving me a message to "call me back", until I was again able to speak with the same woman as before. I asked if there was a problem and if I needed to make other arrangements. She said there was no problem and "I promise Tony will call you later today." I haven't heard from them since.We've used Tony often for years, and up until now I would have agreed with the 94% of respondents giving him an "A+" rating. I was always impressed with every aspect of his services. Out of respect for our past relationship and the superb quality of his previous work, I tolerated the delays without contacting another service until it just became clear he was not going to ever contact me again. Not sure why this has happened, but am extremely disappointed with the total lack of professionalism on his part for not getting back with me - if he didn't want to do the job, or couldn't, he should have simply told me so instead of stringing me along for so long. One last observation: I noticed many reviews on this site citing work that was done during the time he told me his chipper was down.

I was very happy with the results. It was nice to deal directly with the owner, Tony Wiggins, who was present throughout the job.

I have used Peninsula Tree Service for several years now. Tony responds in a timely manner and performs the work the on the day and time specified. Also, they do a super job cleaning up when they are finished. We really appreciate Tony's knowledge and will continue to call him for any service we need no matter how big or small. Thanks Tony!

Not only did they call me the same day in the evening after leaving a message, but they asked where I had heard from them, someone was over to take a look at the tree and leave me a quote as requested and the job was done within a week. I even got a call back to thank me for trusting them to do the job. Other than the obvious, which is that the work was done and done well, you couldn't even tell they had been at my property. Everything was cleaned up, no debris, dirt or branches were left laying around. Would definitely use them again and recommend, as opposed to someone else I called from Angie's list who told me he wouldn't even come to my house for less than $1,200.

Overall it went great. Tony did a great job at a fair price and cleaned everything up and carted it away. I'll use him again and also recommend him highly.

Great guy to work with. He was on time and worked to accommodate my achedule. Did a very nice job on my tree and left the yard clean and neat. I plan on using him again when the tree needs trimming.

I was satisfied with the overall project with some caveats. Initially, I obtained a proposal price of $1200.00 for pruning five of the larger oak trees in my yard. This was $200.00 less than a competing proposal from Independent Tree Service. After Tony got started, I asked how much more he would charge me for doing the remaining 18 of the smaller oak trees in my yard and he gave me a price of $500.00 more for a total of $1700.00. I agreed to this but when he was unable to complete all the work in two days as he had estimated, he informed me that he would have to charge me an additional $300.00 to come back a third day to finish the job. He claimed that he had priced the work on a daily rate and that the effort was taking longer than he had estimated. I was irritated at this since I had assumed that the price was for the effort required, not tied to the time required. I agreed to the additional cost and the total tab was $2000.00 for two and a half days of work. I would use them again because Tony was very knowledgeable about pruning oak trees and I liked the fact that the company owner was doing the work himself instead of having some flunkies determining what needed to be cut. I recommend getting a firm price proposal tied to the total work being performed, not how much time the effort will take.

I had a very positive experience with Penninula Tree Service. I received three quotes to perform this work and Penninsula Tree service was the best price for the work that was being performed. Aside from the price, Penninsula Tree Service was the most couteous and professional company from the time I made the appointment for the quote to the completed project. Tony Wiggins is very knowledgeable and professional. He was on time, completed the job and there was no mess to cleanup when he left. Great Job! I would highly recommend Penninsula Tree Service and will use them again.

The job and experience was excellent. Tony did a very professional job. His cleanup was superb. Everything was raked up and put through the mulcher. There was nothing that I had to do to tidy up after he completed the job. Also, he had told us to get epsom salts for around one of the trees, to help with magnesium. I hadn't been able to find any in a large enough quantity and Tony called us to let us know where to go. He is a total gentleman. We would recommend him to anyone.

Tony and his assistant are very polite and hardworking. I want to point out that I don't usually take so long to write a report and it has nothing to do with their job. I put it aside with Christmas approaching and forgot. The three best attributes of Tony and his team are: 1) He gave us a GREAT price for the job they had to do. 2) They really know how to give oak trees a gorgeous shape. We love the way they look now. 3) They clean up after themselves so well that you can't tell they were there. I can definitely recommend them.

ePennisula came to the house, gave a very reasonable estimate which we accepted, came on date and time arranged, worked professionally in cutting the tree down. They also took cuttings away to a place to be made into mulch. Very satisfied and would recommend.

Called Peninsula Tree Service (Tony Wiggins) based on excellent Angie's List reviews. Tony returned my call the same evening and set up a time the following day (Thursday January 12th) after 5pm to bid on the job. He showed up during the agreed upon time frame (between 5 and 6 pm). We walked around the yard as I explained what I wanted to have done. He listened carefully, then went to his truck to write up an estimate for the work. I felt his bid of $200 was very reasonable and accepted his bid. Tony said he could get the job done early the following week and would contact me with a time and date. However, the next day, Friday January 13th, he called me just before noon and said he had some time and could come over right now if that was acceptable to me. I said sure, come on over. He and a helper arrived within 5 minutes and began working. Tony and his helper performed the work exactly to my specifications and completed the job within about 45 minutes. I will definitely be hiring Peninsula Tree Service again.

When I first called the company I had to leave a message. Tony called me back within 24 hours and set up a time to provide an estimate. While walking around my yard he asked pertenant questions which enabled him to understand each of my requests. Once understanding my requests he wrote up an estimate on site. Based upon the amount as well as the great reviews that I read on Angie's List, I booked him on the spot. We set up a time for him to come out. He understood that one of the work tasks needed to be completed asap so he made arrangements to come that week. Tony completed the work himself along with one of his colleagues. I was completely satisfied with his work and the amount of time it took. I was also extremely happy with how thoroughly they cleaned up. I will be using Tony again next year when I need more work completed.

Called my cell and did the work while I was at work. Came home to trimmed trees. Great job!

Tony provided the lowest bid. He came earlier than expected. Removed tree and hauled away. I will def. use him again!

They were on time for the estimate. For the job he fit me in a few days early. They did a great job.

The overall experience was excellent. Tony Wiggins is a true professional and completed all the work in the timeframe he outlined up front. He responded to my initial call that same day and came by the next day to discuss the work and provide me with a written estimate. We agreed ona price and when he would start the work. He estimated 3 days to complete the work and stayed late on the last day to complete the job. He and his crew took care each day to make sure my property was clean of any debris (branches, leaves, etc) at the end of each day. The removal of the 3 large Java Plum Trees in the back of my property was a dangerous task and required someone with experience. The trees were in excess of 50 feet high and if the fell they could easily damage my house or my neighbours place in the rear. In addition, the power lines ran right through the trees creating a tight and dangerous job. Tony and his crew took the trees down without incident. I would hire Peninsula Tree Service again without hesitation.

The Peninsula crew were very efficient, very professional and cleaned up the work area when they finished. Their price was very competitive in the scope of three estimates. They also made arrangements with another company for stump removal of a tree in the back corner of our property after they had finished with their work. We would highly recommend their services. We will use them again. Peninsula is very accommodating and enjoyable to work with.

Of 4 bids, Peninsula was the low bid. The others said they could do the work in 2 days. Tony did it in one. He understood perfectly how we wanted the trees thinned and trimmed. The finished product came out exactly as we had hoped. We added some work not on the bid and the extra charge was reasonable. Great work, great results, and great value. Can't wait for the trees to grow so we can use him again.

The Peninsula crew arrived on time. They reviewed the work plan with me and answered my questions. What we agreed on is what was trimmed. As they worked I made a few comments and small requests which they listened to and took care of without extensive discussion. We found additional items we wanted trimmed which Penisula performed for a reasonable additional fee. Our neighbor was watching to make sure nothing fell on his tile roof and indeed nothing did fall. All the debris was neatly picked up. We are quite pleased with the result. Peninsula was honest and straight forward with us and listened to our comments. We will definitely be using their services in the future.

He had very competive prices and treated me very fairly. Excellent service and cleaned up tremendously well.
