Mr. Keven Dent is very personable, kind middle aged man. He was handed a project that was already started. The downstairs bathroom had already been gutted out. the bathtub had been installed. My friend could not finish .January 2016 Mr. Kevin Dent was eager to get started, he worked half a day....He wanted half down and half at the end of job I was anticipating the job finished by the end of the month to my dismay he had other people ahead of me and did not come back for 2 weeks. never really knew when he was going to show (as he never gave me I will be here every day....or on Mondays it was a hit and miss kind of thing...I tried many times to pinpoint him down ......I would call my interior decorator she would get him to come out for me.....I found out he had 3 other main jobs and this service was a side job. He was very friendly so I tried to roll with things March 2016 Kevin asked for a draw on the monies I was reluctant but we were 1/2 way. He was doing a very nice job and I was very pleased with all he was doing. I had lined up about 10 more handi-man jobs around the house for him to do. We had talked about it often....even though it was taking a long time I felt it was worth it and he did have circumstances out of his control which were causing the delays. His mother had become critical ill, this was on a Wednesday (first of May) he was all but finished with the bathroom, he had to leave on Friday and he was in a frantic to get several of us finished. I assumed he needed the money for the trip. I had to leave with my grand-kids so I went ahead and paid him knowing even if he did not complete 100% he would be good for it.....he still had so many other projects to do (doors to put up, fans, laundry room shelving and to plaster walls in the living room). His mother died the next week, so two weeks go by I text him to let him know the electricity is not working in the bathroom, the mirror is off center and the light fixture was not centered....I figured the new fellow he had helping him just messed up no problem when he gets home he will fix it....I called my interior decorator to see the easiest fix she was so surprised that he left it like that....he had done such outstanding work....why would anyone leave it like this....I explained the problem....she felt he was just in a hurry and it must have been the other worker just like me....she had suggested I use him.....When I finally got a hold of Mr. Kevin he said he would not come back out...do not call him again.....we were all shocked about this.....EVERY ONE WAS...people that I have come out to finish the job...all say why would anyone leave it like this.....when he did such a perfect job up to here.....you see my husband had pulled down all the walls.....I told him to fix the electric before you put the walls back up.....he charged me 500 for the electric work....but just put in a plug and switch....I had told him my neighbor had to put in all new wires.....lets do it now.....he did not....so to fix the problem he is going to have to tear down part of the wall to get to the wiring....and his mistake would cost him..... I was paying him to fix the electric......He then informed he was not a electrician....I said WHAT....you told me the reason your price was so high was because you were a contractor and electrician and plumber which with all of that is was a good deal. This saddens me. I trusted him, I gave him every benefit of the doubt and he treated me this way. I never was going to tell anyone, but my son said I owed it to the other retired people out there that want to trust someone. I know my mistake I should not have paid him till job was finished.....I take the blame on that one. No matter what the reason they need the money it should have stayed business. I know better, and it will cost me dearly. May it not cost you. Be safe my friends and don't trust the wolf in sheep's clothing
