Suncoast Fireplace, Chimney, & Dryer Vent Cleaning

John arrived on time and immediately diagnosed my problem. He removed and replaced my rusted chimney cap with a unit that was far more substantial. While on the roof he noticed some chimney areas that needed attention and took care of that. He also noticed that squirrels had damaged one of my lead covered exhaust vents. He attached protective squirrel-resistant covers on all my exhaust pipes. Lastly he cleaned out my dryer vent which I had never had done and which had become a serious safety hazard. I am very satisfied with the work John did and I would highly recommend him for your fireplace, chimney, or vent issues.

My husband called on Friday and made an appointment for the following Monday between 8-12. The quote was for $99 for dryer vent cleaning. John showed up between 9-9:30 and was ready to go to work. My laundry room had a lot of things in it. I hadn't thought to clean it out properly before he got there. He was very patient and helped me get everything out so he could access the dryer (vacuums, stuff on top of the dryer, etc). I had a heavy shelf propped up over the washer and dryer and he very carefully moved it out of the laundry room and made sure not to damage my hardwood floor. Found one problem with the dryer hose immediately and identified the need to replace. Went to work to clean out the vents and even climbed up onto my third story roof because he suspected that the roofers that put on our new roof that screened over our vent. Sure enough, he brought the screen down and showed that my vent was completely clogged with wet, moldy lint because the roof was improperly installed over the vent. He replaced the hose on the back of the dryer, put the washer and dryer back into position perfectly. He vacuumed up all the dust bunnies on the floor that were released when the washer and dryer were moved and vacuumed out the dryer vent/lint trap. He tested out the dryer. The difference between the quote and the end price was understandable based on the work he did. He did a great job. Was very thorough but also very fast. I would hire him and will hire him again!
