They were very knowledgeable and knew exactly what the problem was and how to fix it. They truly went above and beyond for me and my parents. I plan on hiring them for a much larger job when I get back to Florida.

If you have a re-model dream, Seggie can make it come true! Our master bathroom went from an outdated, pink eyesore to a magnificent grotto-like spa. It is an absolutely beautiful escape, right in our own home! We can't wait for them to come back to start our new re-model projects.

He had to demo the kitchen, take down a wall opening up our family room to our kitchen. He did the floors and just so much other work with us. His subcontractors are trustworthy and competent and don’t leave a mess.

Slow, but thorough.

The whole project went just great. The supplies were there right away, John Seggie and his crew were extremely professional and considerate of what we wanted. They could professionally answer all of our questions, they were pleasant to work with, gave us helpful suggestions. They were always on time, installed the materials just great and got the work done very fast. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. We would hire them again.

Very poorly. Zero communication, showed a complete and utter lack of interest in my business.

John Seggie was extremely helpful throughout the entire building process. He made sure to give us every option possible before we made our final decisions on the project. John brought such a great attitude to the job and made sure to clean up after each day. I could not be any more impressed with his workmanship and overall quality on the cut out. It blended in so nicely with the existing house. It looked as though it had always been there. We have truly been able to enjoy this space more and owe it all to John and his crew! We will definitely recommend Seggie Custom Builders in the future!!!

I finallly got the plans on March 19th. Mr. Seggie told me he would look them over and contact me in a couple of days. I am still waiting! I have since contacted another contractor who has been working with me and I have gotten new plans drawn up. I am just chalking this up to a learning experience. I am very disappointed with Seggie Custom Builders and feel like I should have at least received the courtesy of a call back advising me that he was not interested in doing the work for whatever the reason and not left me hanging.”

Started project in the middle of October. House livable in beginning of December. Used sub-contractor for some electrical, some plumbing, counter tops and plaster work. Most else was performed by his own employees. He spent a great amount of time with me to pick out cabinets, counter tops, flooring, back splash. There was a problem with a crack developing in the ceiling and this was taken care of promptly. I would certainly use this company again. Very reputable. Did what he said he would do when he said he would do it. Gave me some very good suggestions.

We had them do a full build out on our business and once we signed the lease it took two and a half months for them to get their permit. We were told we would then be open no later than November 1st, we didn't officially open up until late the night of December 27th, after having at least ten different opening dates after November 1st. There were permitting issues, scheduling issues, employee issues, and a lot of other unfortunate circumstances that caused us to open up almost two months after we were told we would be able to. We have thousands in lost revenue from not opening on time, paid equipment and rent payments from when they were still not completed. It was unfortunate the way everything happened, and the quality of the work was significantly different from our first space that he did. There are a lot of mistakes that we will still have to hire someone to get redone. After a horrible and stressful experience we got a huge invoice which should have been thousands less. Most quoted prices were not honored (got raised thousands at final invoice) and demanded payment immediately or threatened with a lien (that way you'll make sure to quickly pay). I would recommend not paying by time and material because you'll end up paying a lot more than you should. The billing department should itemize bills and document more frequently (we had a lot of mistakes on our invoices). This overall build out was the most stressful and frustrating experience. I would not want to see anyone else ever have to experience what we went through.

Seggie Custom Builders is terrific. We had this project started when we first purchased this house and were still living across country. John really looked after us as there were roof problems and leaks when we were in the West. He had those problems repaired and called and sent pictures of each step. All of the work done inside the house, both anticipated and unanticipated, was beautifully and very carefully done with a real eye toward excellence and to our satisfaction. Our guest bathroom did not have a shower, just a very old Jacuzzi type tub, and they pulled that out and hand built a wonderful stall shower with seat. They also remodeled part of the bathroom that had a second sink to be a beautiful storage area...removing the sink, adding shelves and bi-fold doors. The master bath was a tiny square back in a corner between the garage and the bedroom with an exterior door right next to it. The exterior door was closed up, the shower extended and rebuilt and tiled, with a seat and bars to ADA standards, without looking institutional. This house is 30 plus years old and many of the finishes were very dated and not to our taste, although well done in the manner of the day. The features we kept were matched by Seggie Builders both in style and color. They were very detail oriented. All of the wall plates in the house were changed to match each other, update the look and be easier to use. We coordinated with John, or he with us, so we could pick out fixtures and/or tile where we were in Nevada and he could find it in Florida. His craftsmen were prompt, worked hard, and cleaned up after themselves daily. The only place we got hung up a little was when we chose the vanities, the salesman where we were wrote all the pieces and parts down on an order slip and we emailed them to John. He thought we'd ordered them, and we thought he had.....no one's fault, just a glitch. The work was painstaking some of the time, and the company had other jobs as well, so next time we'd plan on things taking a bit longer.................it was definitely worth the wait! Seggie Builders is a fine company, with fine workers..............and we would hire them again in a minute. They were very honest and caring people, and we always felt good about having them in our home. We also feel that we have new friendly acquaintances, not just builders. I don't think you could find a better building or remodeling company, and we really appreciate Angies List for pointing us in their direction.

Company remodeled a bathroom. Done well, on-time and on budget.

The whole shower was gutted and rebuilt with a custom built in seat. The work went smoothly and was an excellent job. Our shower is beautiful and we are very happy with it. Would we hire them again, Yes, in fact we did. When we discovered the air conditioner PVC pipe was leaking behind the outside wall of the house, we called John to come and give it a look, he did, even though he was very busy, the job was complete by the next week., it included taking down outside wall, replacing the PVC pipe to the air conditioner then putting up the new wall and painting it. Looks great, problem gone!

They did a nice job. The service was excellent. They were prompt, high standard work, extremely professional. I would recommend them to anybody.

We are not from the area, so we used Angie's List to communicate with potential contractors on this project for a home we just purchased. I emailed with a number of contractors to communicate our requirements for the project and to schedule an appointment to meet. From the first email with John Seggie I had a good feeling about this contractor. He was prompt, professional and easy to communicate with. We provided a statement of work (SOW) with our expectations, a link to a web site with photos of the home and a Pinterest link to an idea board that had examples of what we were looking for. John Seggie reviewed the information provided and came to the appointment prepared. He took measurements, provided great suggestions to consider based on his experience and had no problem providing us with the detailed quote we were looking for. The quote was not the lowest that we received, but, it was very good and he was transparent on what costs were fixed and what were flexible. This really aided us in our decision making. He was the only contractor that met with us face to face to review the quote with us when it was presented to ensure we understood it and to answer any questions. We also felt very good that John Seggie only required a $500 deposit with the majority of the cost paid in full at the end of the project. The project started as planned and it became obvious very quickly that we made the best decision going with John Seggie. His crew was excellent and professional. John was on site each day to supervise the work and to answer our questions. All work was completed per plan and with quality. We were especially impressed with the craftsmanship of the nook that they developed for us. They really went beyond expectations at every stage of the project!!

Sort of miss the guys. 6 weeks start to finish. Love the end product. We were not looking forward to the construction project, but it was not bad at all. The crew cleaned and straightened before they left daily. We soon started looking forward to coming home from work to see the progress. John was always available if we had questions our needed his advise. His crew was very pleasant and always courteous.

We had our kitchen and two bathrooms remodeled. A false ceiling was removed from the kitchen and the new ceiling goes up to the gable of the house opening up the kitchen and living room so much that it feels like a new house! John Seggie and his crew did an excellent job on our house. They were prompt to arrive each day, worked steadily through the day and left the place cleaned up remarkably well at the end of each day's work. They put in new cabinets in the kitchen, new appliances, new lighting and new flooring. They painted and put in new vanities and cabinets in the bathrooms and new lighting. They removed the popcorn ceiling from the living area rooms in the house, repainting the walls as needed. Everything was done to perfection. Mr. Seggie sets a high standard for work done and his crew live up to that standard. We have no complaints. We are enjoying our newly remodeled areas in our home. If you are looking for a custom design to remodel anything in your home, this is the company you want to call!!!

I feel the owner was very professional and friendly. The crew was courteously, polite and always on time.. They always asked us when it was convenient for us. I would recommend this company to anyone that is looking for remodeling. I feel it was a good price for everything they did. They fixed a mistake someone else did as far as the the frame wor. Then they, drywalled, painting, doors, and a window. Excellent Service...

The owner and crew were very professional from the first meeting through completion. Communication was excellent throughout the process. John Seggie accompanied me to pick out materials from cabinets to flooring and wall tile. His suggestions were quite helpful in keeping the design and color scheme consistent and coordinated. Attention to detail is the key to his success. This company made sure I was satisfied with every aspect of the job. They returned to complete the punch list, which was very short and consisted of only a couple of touch up items. I just hired Seggie Custom Builders for another project involving replacement of a raised deck and pool with screen enclosure adjoining the dock area.

My experience was very good overall.
