I have been dealing with Palmwood for over 2 years now and it has been extremely disappointing and frustrating ever since we signed the contract. The lack of communication from the office to the field, misinformation and extremely poor craftsmanship, has cost me thousands in unexpected expenses, unending frustration and zero vacation time. What I am left with is a house that looks about 30 years old instead of 1. The biggest problem out of the many is that my drywall has cracks throughout the entire house. There have been about 8 repairs to the drywall and it has left me with bad patches looking like water damage and reoccurring cracks. The repairs actually look worse than the original cracks. I had a home inspection done that states they did not use enough mud at the seems and used fiberglass mesh resulting in these issues. The company wouldn't even refund me the $500 home inspection fee. On one occasion the owner of the company Chris, even told me that I was being too picky...my drywall was cracking all over my house! I'm currently waiting on repair number 9 but at this point it really doesn't matter. My house looks terrible

TERRIBLE! Our process began in September with choosing a floor plan, getting pricing and a contract together. Closed on our loan mid-December and a check was hand delivered by our bank the following day. After 3 weeks of no communication, we went to the model home to ask when someone would contact us. From that point to now (September the following year), Palmwood has caused us nothing but problems, stress and provided us with substandard quality while giving us attitude. We chose a small home as it is what fits our needs and it became evident that what matters to Palmwood was the dollar and not the opportunity to build someones dream. Fortunately, I learned very quickly to document ALL communications via email. The office staff never confirmed the final plans to the 1st plans that we adjusted and signed off on before sending to final. This led to problems occurring with trusses, water, plumbing, electrical, drywall, paint, doors, the list goes on...Office staff lost documentation for change orders, notations to color out sheet and mixed up plans and provided incorrect information to subcontractors. Having a home built by Palmwood has become an all day babysitting career! Several phone calls, text messages and emails sent to the staff at Palmwood including the 3rd generation owner Chris Glover. Unfortunately, Chris went into the wrong industry as he has no sense of what customer service or customer satisfaction is. Numerous accounts of him putting us down and indicating that the errors made by the office and subcontractors weren't their faults (despite documentation indicating otherwise) and complaints when we addressed errors made in a timely fashion to avoid additional costs on Palmwood's part. This company was recommended to us by an individual in the Realtors Association who cannot apologize enough for the recommendation. If you are looking for a builder in Hernando County or surrounding areas that will offer quality, craftsmanship and a sense of pride in what they build, Palmwood IS NOT THE BUILDER TO CHOSE!!!

It was a good experience. It was a good job. They marked off everything they were suppose to. They are about $150 to do any 8 acre property. They are actually better priced than a lot of places. They marked everything property. They came out and did everything properly. They were there when they were suppose to be. I didn't see anyone from there because they just show up and do that. It's not like you need to wait there for them. Good pricing, and top service.

Still in the process, but no issues to report. We made a great decision to use Palmwood for our home builder

We signed on June 16th 2015 were told it would take 6 to 8 months to build after approval of permits. Permits were to take 4 to 6 weeks. We are now going into August 2016 with no estimate time of completion. Stay Tuned
