We've had reps from Geek Squad do a good job before but this rep, Martin B., was not one of them. I had bought a new printer and I was having issues getting the computer to connect to the printer. I thought he had it fixed, but two days later I went to check my email and a pop-up asked for my email address and a password to log into my own computer. In the past they'd give us business card so we could call back. He just gave us a phone number, a wrong one at that, and we had a hard time getting him back out here. When he finally came back out he fooled around with it for 15 minutes and printed a couple of emails. Thinking it had been fixed he left, but we still have issues using and getting into the computer.
Description of Work: They came to my home twice. The first time he came to fix the original issues I was having. The second time he came out it was to fix the issues he created and now our computer is worse than it was before.

I bought a Geek Squad maintenance agreement. During the 2d year after buying computers and related items, I had issues with my laptop and it would not function. They were unable to help me, did not even look at the computer and sent me home. I had someone come to my house and fixed the problem in 5 minutes.

The Geek Squad remote service did not seem to get the job done, so I took my computer in to the South Dale Mabry store. Jake was the Geek Squad manager. They sell Microsoft services and Bluehost web hosting, but he told me that the Geek Squad was not allowed to contact either entity to resolve the issue.
Description of Work: My e-mail went down. I needed it reconnected because a server was renumbered. I had been a member of the Geek Squad for 2 years and expected them to be there to resolve what I have been assured was a very simple issue.

The female technician cleaned up a few things on our system and hooked the computer up to their internet and it was much faster. She suggested that we contact our internet provider.

The installer was very knowledgeable and the service was outstanding. Travis did a a great job and knew how to operate the unit.

Three months after I purcahsed the tv set it went out. I called them and they said the mainboard went out and they would have to order it from the warranty company that provides the main board for the tv set. However, I am very frustrated because I have waited over 2 weeks to have my tv fixed.

Best Buy NEVER fixed the computer, they were rude, and tried everything to embarrass us, and make us go away. We have asked several times to speak to the Watertown NY store manger, but everything it is a different person, guess they have a manager of the day... One "manager" walked out of the store as her duty times was over for the day.... They have zero customer service, and only know the answer NO.... This is the company that should have gone out of business not Circuit City.
Description of Work: Starting in Apr 09, we took our less than one year old HP laptop computer to Best Buy Geek Squad at the new store in Spring Hill, Fl. We ended up making over 10 trips to that store and they did not fix it. They changed the disc drive, but that was not the problem, we were leaving up a four month vacation in upstate NY where we purchased the computer on 31 Jul 08. After we got it back, we took it to another HP certified repair center, they did not have time to fix it, as it was not on warranty at their shop, but at Best Buy, extended 3 year plan. He told us that it was the mother board, so we took the computer and went to Ny, arriving on 13 May, we took the computer to where we bought it, and they also changed the disc, no fix, told them about the mother board, they told us we were not computer professionals, so we did not know what we were talking about, took it home, nope, did not work, took it back, they said they sent it to HP, who only changed the battery since it was not charging, yep, a direct problem related to the mother board. Then we called HP, they had no record of our computer, we spent two and a half hours on Sun the 14th of Jun, and three hours on Mon the 15 of Jun, they finally decided it was the mother board, and are sending us the shipping package to send the computer DIRECTLY to them, they will replace the mother board, or the computer, their call, and have it back within one week. I will never shop at BB again, and recommend all people planning on buying a computer/TV etc buy elsewhere. I used the BB website to buy a tv from Sears, they met the price and gave an additional 20 dollars off. FYI we have the paperwork to prove this complaint... All four visit here and the ones in Florida
