He was wonderful. I'll probably use him again. He put outlets in my island. They didn't have any outlets and another electrician said you can't do it. He said he didn't know why they told me that. He put them in and they worked beautifully. We discussed LED recessed lighting. He brought some in to show me what the different lightings looked like. We talked about doing recessed lighting in the future. I would recommend him. He cleaned up, there was saw dust from the cabinets, to make holes for the outlets on the side. He did a beautiful job of cleaning up too.

The owner came himself and was on time. He called prior to arrival to let me know he was on his way. He was professional, very efficient and offered a lot of information during the visit. He worked quickly, clearly knew what he was doing, and had all the required tools with him when he walked through the door. He informed me about a safety concern with the wiring where the previous owner had just yanked the dishwasher out and left hot wires in the wall, which had shorted all the outlets in the kitchen (which is why I called Clear Choice from Angie's List).. He completely rewired it, ready for placement of the new dishwasher. He moved the under counter switch for the garbage disposal to above the counter without the loss of an outlet. He checked my wiring on the hot water tank I had installed, and was very good natured while rewiring my somewhat botched job. He checked the electric panel to assure it was adequate, since this is my new home. The entire bill, including materials, was $125! Not only is he a top notch professional electrician, he has a calm and pleasant demeanor as well. I will call him again, if needed, without a doubt.

There were loose wires which he tightened and made sure there was no overload and no danger. I now have peace of mind that everything is ok I used the cupon from Angies list. I am very happy and will use him again if I have any issues.

They did a good job. They were on time and everything was nice and clean when they left. Scheduling went well and there were no problems. I was very satisfied with them.

Dan was incredibly helpful. He had trouble contacting the person living in the house and was very patient with this process. He got the inspection done and pronounced the electricial system in great shape except for cloth wrapped wiring (which apparently precludes getting home owners insurance in FL). Dan spent a great deal of his time on the phone with me listening to the insurance companies stories and discussing possible solutions to the problem. I am so appreciative of his time and help. That means so much when one is not on site.

I called Dan for installation of a meter based surge arrestor and he explained different options. The power company can install a similar device, but charges monthly for it. Although I had not had any previous issues, I wanted additional protection from lightning strikes. Dan recommended a unit with a life-time warranty (no recurring charges) and set the appointment for two days later. He showed up on time, was professional, courteous, and explained what he was doing while I watched him work. He also checked and tightened all the terminal screws in the breaker box as a courtesy. Some were quite loose, so this check may have saved me from future headaches. I did not rate 'price' for this service because I did not get any other quotes, but in general feel that it was fair for the quality of service provided.

Great... showed up on time and ready to go. Explained all work as he went and gave constructive advice on future things we were planning on doing. Very professional and respectful. Wonderful experience and will use them again.

I texted him that new fan (we had purchased new one at a home improvement store) he had just replaced was making an unusual amount of noise and he said if I wanted to get a new one for him to replace bad one, he would be happy to, no problem. I commute back and forth from the west coast to florida so it is important to keep appointment times and he always has been very prompt when showing up at the time and date given. When he installed the new fan, I asked him what I owed him and he stated nothing and that I was on his way to his other job. I will definitely call him when I am in need of a professional electrical contractor once again.

Minor hitch - Dan was a little bit late because when he went to picked up the fixtures, the provider had increased on the prices on this product. He spend 20 minutes with the sales persons so that he could get the best price for us. We did not mind at all that he was late, because Dan was working to get us the price that he had quoted! We definitely appreciated that. Once he got here, he got right to business. He did everything possible to protect our furniture and floors; he explained it would be messy (it was!), but because of the floor covers he put down on the hardwood floors, the clean up was minimal. He worked quickly and expertly. He installed all 8 light fixtures plus two dimmers as well. We were very pleased. We would definitely use Dan again and we would very definitely recommend him to friends and neighbors. In fact, our daughter, who lives in Winter Haven, wanted to hire him. Dan had been to our place for some other electrical work in the past, so we knew we would use him for the Cree LED lighting. In fact, we had asked for his opinion the first time he was here. Our Living Room had no lighting, except for one lamp; we didn't want to crowd up the room with tables just for lamps, and thought about lighting from the ceiling - we asked Dan what he thought would work in that room. He gave us several options, showing pictures right from his cell phone, explained the differences in price, workmanship, reliability, etc. Very please, indeed.

Dan, the owner is a hard worker and got right to work not wasting time during the day. There was a lot of attic work that needed to have wires run from existing old switches. He was a miracle worker not taking shortcuts just to get the job done. Dan insisted on everything being done to code. I appreciated this for the safety of my home and family. By the way, this was a permitted job. Dan ran into an issue with the original plan to get the 50 amp circuit out to the dock. The source he was planning to use for the power was not grounded correctly. So he had to run another very expensive heavy duty wire all the way from the main panel. Job done correctly and I feel he was very fair with the price he charged for the work performed. I will call Dan again for my next electrical project not just for the quality of his work but also for his honesty.

Dan, came out at the end of the day. He was busy but saw that I had a need and helped me get my power back on. All the other electricians that that I called that day from Angie's List never bothered to call back until days later. He had me take pictures of the fuse box that I e-mailed to him so that he could make sure he had the correct replacement parts. He is a Dandy!

It was a very positive experience. Dan was punctual, very personable and quick to correct the problem. He also helped with another minor problem. I will definitely call him again for other electrical problems.

Dan was very pleasant to deal with, went right to work and did the job to our extreme satisfaction.

We completely renovated our kitchen and needed an electrician to work with conduit since we live in a beach condo above 3 stories. We wanted at least two (2) electrical quotes so we called Clear Choice Electrical and another local electrician. The "other" electrician came in and assessed our needs and began to tell me that this is a very difficult job and that in order to get it to code, it will take a lot of work. Because it is conduit, it will be very costly. I then asked will you be using flexible conduit and he said well yes, but this is still difficult. He then proceeded to tell me how the electrical wire is run. By the way, he did not even look at the electrical box. Tidbit, I have done a little electrical work and know how to wire. I am no professional, just a female DIYer, not ignorant. Anyway, Dan came in assessed our needs and said this is a straight forward renovation, fairly easy, told me what he was going to do and he can bring it up to code. I knew as soon as he left that he was the one for the job. Received both quotes and by far Dan exceeded our expectations not only with price, but with his honesty, professionalism, and thoroughness. He made suggestions that I did not think of and I am so glad he did. Love the dimmers in the kitchen and stainless covers. He completed the job on time even with our delays with the granite installation. He always called back and he showed up when he said he would (these days that is a rarity.) I cannot say enough. He is straight forward, honest, no hidden cost and easy to work with. .

Dan fixed my open circuit fast and at a vary low cost vary good service

A series of unfortunate events delayed the initial work and I initially feared I wasn't going to get the good service I'd expected, but Dan came through with a very professional effort and attitude to get the job done. The process was less than an A experience, but the outcome and Dan's response allow me to give an overall A with good conscience.

The work was performed in a very timely and professional manner. We have had Clear Choice Electrical perform other electrical work in the past and have always been completely pleased with the work and price.

On Saturday, June 8th, I returned home to find my air conditioning not working. As I investigated what the problem might be, I discovered the metered junction box to my house was badly scorched and covered with soot. I still had low voltage power to things like my TV and ceiling fans, but no 220 service to my AC, pool pump and stove. I called Duke Power, and they said someone would be out by 9:30 that evening. It was around 4:30 PM, and the house was already getting warm. Fortunately for me, the Duke power guys showed up around 6:30, and set to work restoring the power lines. A short had occurred within the junction box and burned the cables serving the house. The Duke fellows were terrific in proceeding to dig down to access the cables and splice in new ones in spite of the fact it was now pouring rain. They found that one of the contacts within the box, a "meter jaw" was destroyed, and they even tried to find the right kind lying around in their truck, even though that is a customer's responsibility. Failing to find one, they said I had to call an electrician and have that part replaced before they could make their repair permanent, but in the meantime, they left and came back with a power booster device so I could have 220 service to run my AC! I turned to Angie's list to find a good electrician, and fairly nearby, I found Clear Choice with excellent reviews. First thing Monday, I was on the phone with Dan, and explained the problem. I told him the Duke power guys had asked for us to set an appointment with them, so they could turn the power off at the transformer to make the job safer, and so they would be on hand to complete the metering and retrieve their power booster. Here's where it got a little goofy. The Duke power repair guys insisted it was a simple repair, but Duke engineering insisted the job had to be permitted and inspected. Dan agreed with the Duke repairmen that he had never seen this type of part replacement made so complicated, but he was going to comply with county code, and do the job by the book. I absolutely respect that, and commend Dan for offering to step aside rather than violate an apparently brand new code requirement. The Duke repair guys were anxious to get their equipment back, and they were basically asking us to fudge a little and just replace the part. When it comes to any repair, but especially electric, I want a guy like Dan on my side. Dan declined to just "wing it" and jeopardize his license. Good going. By late Monday afternoon, he had the permit pulled, and though it took him numerous calls to several departments at Duke, he set up with them to do the repair first thing in the morning. When he saw, and showed me, how badly burned the inside of the box was, he suggested I change out the box, but made it clear he could do the repair without that extra cost if I so desired. I wanted the job done the best way, of course, so I ended up with a brand new box, all new meter jaws, new ground and lightning arrester. A setup that I am confident will last for years and years. The inspector approved the job, and a quick call to Duke power got a fellow out to finish up with the final meter hook-up pretty quickly. I am pleased to say that both ends of this complex job were handled with true professionalism. The Duke guys stepped up for me, and Dan went above and beyond, when they started making him jump through hoops. I can't even complain about Duke corporate, they were just following the law. I had to pay for a permit, but I got a first class job I can depend on, and it feels good that it went through inspection. Thanks to everyone.

Dan is polite. experienced and professional; on time, returns calls - many times same day. Solid work ethic. I will definitely call him again for any future electrical work.

This is my second service from Clear Choice. If you want a courteous, on-time, extremely competent expert to fix your problems electric, then this is the guy.In fact competent is an understatement. Highly talented expert is what Dan is. You simply have to see him in action. He is sure footed, fast, and priced very reasonably. What else could you ask of an electrician? 29 minutes in and out. In a word, Dan's work is superb. The remodel began in March of '13. I received 4 separate quotes from different contractors for the electrical work and Dan's was about middle in terms of cost. I had called Dan earlier in the day and he promptly returned my call and asked if he could schedule a visit to give a quote later that afternoon. I agreed and he arrived exactly on time and we discussed the remodel job for about an hour. The reason that I selected Clear Choice rather than the others was Dan's absolute professionalism, his obvious experience and attention to detail. While looking the job over he actually made a suggestion regarding placement of the dishwasher in the kitchen that I adopted. This suggestion gained us about 3 additional linear feet of counter space. It was also clear while we were speaking that Dan wasn't going to cut corners or take short cuts. I needed the job done right and it was obvious that Dan was going to do just that. Once I decided to accept Clear Choice's quote I called Dan and scheduled an appointment for the electrical rough-in. My schedule was somewhat tight and Dan accommodated me by agreeing to work on a Saturday so that the sheet-rock installation, already scheduled for the following Monday, could stay on schedule. Dan arrived right at 0900 as agreed and immediately went to work with the tear-out. The tear-out was done in about an hour and then he went right to work on the rough-in of the new wiring and boxes. He worked quickly and with absolute precision; boxes were attached perfectly square and all wiring run cleanly and with good foresight. Dan had estimated the rough-in would take about 6 hours and he was spot on. Once the back-splash went in I emailed Dan and asked that we schedule the final electrical install. He returned my email within a few hours and again accommodated my schedule by agreeing to do the install a few days later. He again arrived right on time and went to work. The final install went smoothly though there were a few glitches due to the fact that my unit is 45 years old and was built with lathe and plaster construction. Dan worked through all of the issues, completing all of the work in about 4 hours. In summary I'm comfortable in saying that Dan exceeded my expectations. He's an honest and pleasant fellow who works with integrity and precision. I highly recommend Clear Choice and will continue to use their services in the future as I continue my remodel.
