"We were shocked to hear from this customer and how irate he was. This customer was given a free estimate on the same day he reached out to our company regarding his issues he was having with his pool equipment. We sent one of our highly knowledgeable and skilled electricians immediately to evaluate the customer's situation, as he was worried about his pool not running. We deemed that an "urgent situation". When the customer called in this morning to explain the information gathered from the 2 other companies he received quotes from, he was irrationally angry and accusatory. We most certainly did not "lie" to the customer, nor did we say we stand behind that type of behavior, because we most certainly do not. Mistakes are made, human errors occur. It is inevitable. If a mistake were made on our behalf, we would seek a solution to rectify it immediately. As we were attempting to better understand what this customer was yelling at us through the phone, he hung up before we were able to offer to ask what he would like us to do to better resolve the situation. The quote we provided included installing a pool sub-panel, which is always recommended with pool equipment. It is a suggestion, not something that MUST be done. The customer was told by other companies he does not need one, and that is the route he has chosen to go. We would have been more than willing to come back out and verify the concerns the customer had with our quote."
"We regret to hear this customer feels this way. As explained, we do not charge per hour, we charge per job. There is no way to break down labor costs since we do not have one. This customer is selling his home and was quoted to install some customer supplied switches and customer supplied lights, along with: replacing an electrical panel, ground system, surge protection, testing power to all receptacles, removing double taps in the main panel, as well as the permitting and inspection fees. The materials to be supplied by Bolt Electric are top of the line. If this customer were to proceed with the work quoted - the material cost alone would greatly exceeds $500, we are unsure of where this customer has gotten their information on electrical supplies/materials. Bolt Electric has standard & fair pricing. We would be happy to speak with the customer regarding the quote he was given and answer any questions they may have regarding pricing and to help them better understand exactly what the job entails."
