Tim's did outstanding work on my property! He took the time to meet me in person and go over everything he thought should be done and gave me advice on pulling a permit with the City. One thing he did that stood out is that he came over with a laser pointer so I was actually able to see where he was going to be making the cuts (otherwise, it's difficult to tell just pointing at a tree). Also, he is a clean-looking gentleman (and not so bad on the eyes either!). Not that appearance should matter so much, but some of the other tree services companies would send people out to give me bids and they'd be filthy looking and even smoking while talking to me -- I found that to be quite annoying and unprofessional. I wasn't home the day the work was done but when I got home everything look great. I will definitely hire him again and recommend him to everybody. GREAT JOB!

We were most impressed with Tim's knowledge and caring for the trees. He is extremely knowledgeable and cares about the plants. I had requested removal of a tree but he could not do it without damaging the tree and exposing it to disease. I agreed with his assessment. The tree in the front yard was trimmed so that it would not be misshaped. He suggested a return in 2 years to continue the strengthening process. We will definitely use him again.

Tim came out and took one look at the tree and said it had been killed by lightning. He was one of several estimates I got and all of them concurred about the lightning kill. I had not told him my front yard was hit by lightning last July before he made his assessment. So his diagnosis of the tree was quick and spot on. His workers came by on May 19th to remove the tree. It took them less than 90 minutes and except for the stump you would not have known they had been at the house. There was a small issue with the stump grinder being out of commission. Tim, however, kept me up to date on the exact status and had the stump out a few days later when the grinder was back in service. While I miss my tree and am sad that it was killed... I am very glad Murray's Tree Service was here to safely remove the tree.

They cleaned the yard and ground the stumps, it was perfect. From top to bottom, they did everything perfect and they did what they said they were going to do. They came on the appointment date.

They did a great job of trimming back the trees and shrubs. All of the mistletoe was removed from my oak tree which made a big difference when you look at it now. This may not make sense to some people but the tree is happy and I feel very peaceful when I look at it. Update: I hired them a 2nd time to have two trees removed. The cost was reasonable and they did an excellent job of removing the trees and cleaning up the debris. Tim is very personable and walked around my yard with me. Gave excellent advice/recommendations on trees and shrubs to plant. Also, how to care for some of my plants that seem to be in distress. An excellent job overall.

I had scheduled an estimate, in which Tim had lost on his calender due to a computer crash, but he was still able to come to my house within a few minutes. He informed me that my large Acacia tree had contracted fungus and was dying (I confirmed this through a Google search) and scheduled to have the tree removed. His team showed up before the scheduled time and spent about 6 hours removing the tree (but they did leave one trunk, per my request, which housed a screech owl). After they were done, they raked up the area, cleaned my gutters, and left me a nice large pile of mulch for gardening. They were very professional and were done in a timely manner (taking only 2 short breaks). Tim informed me that I could contact them if I needed more mulch. I would recommend them to anyone looking for tree services.

Tim says - don't call me on the weekend I won't answer and he does not do estimates or otherwise work on the weekends.

No service was performed. He gave good advice which we are following.

Work crew arrived on time, ready to go on the scheduled day. All work done very professionally. Trimmed branches were chipped into mulch onsite and hauled away, leaving no debris for trash pickup. Tim addressed questions that I had and confirmed all work to be done. Work crew was polite and also confirmed what was being cut as they went. One tree was trimmed in such a fashion that I could still put up a rope swing. All debris was removed, leaves and everything raked up and yard and walkways were blown clear. After they left, the yard looked better than when they arrived. You couldn't tell there had been any tree work done (except for the sunlight now in the backyard) - everything was all cleaned up and restored. A great job. Very pleased.

Tim Murray was prompt and courteous and great to work with. We had to change the schedule three times because of MY conflicts and he made it work. They have all the correct equipment (bucket truck, chipper, trash truck, chain saws of all kinds, carriers and ropes, everything..and they use all of it. We had what could have been dangerous size lilmbs. The crew did not take chances, they worked as an amazing team. They were on time (early) they did the work they said they would do, and they cleaned up after themselves without me following behind. Tim is an arborist and know his stuff. They have insurance coverage. A pleasant and amazing team. I'd would hire them again in the future. Feel comfortable with doing your tree work. Great.,

Tim did two jobs for us...saved a dying yard tree and shimmied up a tall pine tree to cut off a dead limb that was hanging over our house roof. Tim is a professional...knows what he's doing and does it well. He and his crew worked for several hours to "fix" our front yard live oak...had to dig, cut, etc. and now it is flourishing and doing very well. Then we had the dead limb on a very tall pine tree. Called him and he came out and cut that off....small job...I wasn't even sure he would mess with such a minor piece of work. So, now we feel we can call him anytime for anything. He's prompt...came when he said he would...gave us a fair price and did his work neatly. If you have any tree work....Tim's the guy to call. Thanks Tim.

I called and made appointment with Tim to come and give an estimate to have Pepper tree removed from my property, which was growing over from neighbors yard. Plus, needed 2 palms trimmed and hedges/bushes on one side of house needed trimmed. Tim showed up, gave estimate, and made arrangements to come within five days to do the work. His crew showed at lunch time to do the work on the arranged day. They pulled their trucks up in front of the house, got out, then sat down on the curbs of the neighbors' houses and ate their lunches for 45 minutes. Then when finished, they proceeded to begin work. They worked till finished, then left without notifying me. When I noticed there was no longer "noise" from outside, I went out and checked, and they were gone. They had cleaned up fairly well. Did a good job on the bushes and hedges.... So I just dropped the check in the mail.

They were very responsive to our call. They came out promptly, to give us an estimate. They were the highest price of the three companies who came out to give us an estimate.

Finally, someone that comes to your home, does what they say they will do and does it right! Clean up was exceptional. Got more work to schedule in a few months and will use them again. Thanks!

My experience with them was excellent, his knowledge about the work that he was going to do, and the fact that after he had quoted the workhe went out to his truck and brought us a certificate of insurance, a written quote, and gave us Angie's list discount without being asked.... we could really tell that he was very knowledgeable in what he is talking about. There were a couple of trees that needed to be removed that had wires running through them, he thought about it and told us what the appropriate action was, explained what the issues were, and gave us a potential solution for how to get rid of them and answered all our questions really professionally. He also looked at the trees to see whether there was any potential to save them other than just to destroy them so the environmental aspect was covered as well. He also took the time to have a look at the overall condition of all the trees on the property and give some suggestions and thoughts about long term care.

tim and his crew were very professional, friendly, and excellent tree climbers. tim arrived at the time we had scheduled for the first go over. I wanted his advice on a tree on the neighbors lot, which measured about 20' round. I had wanted to take all the branches off that covered my home. he said that if I did that it would kill the tree, not good since I am in a hurricane area. so we decided on trimming the best we could without killing the tree. It was sooooo cool watching the guys cut down the trees next to the house, its like they built little steps out of the limbs so they could climb up and down. what a sight to see, instead of just CHOPPING the tree down as I have seen lots of times. the crew arrived on time to start cutting, it was great, they mulched every thing on the spot, growned down the stumps, cleaned up the area, TOTALLY, you never new they were there, except when they cut down 1 tree, it was like a light shining in the room............I am so pleased with every aspect of the job they did for me, and yes I would recommend them to anyone who needs tree work done, and yes I will have them return again for the trim up of the trees in the future. thank you tim, you were great !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Work was scheduled for after lunch on June 21st. Crew showed up at 11:00 AM and reviewed the work to be done with me, a couple of hours later crew member had me come out and look over the work, which was a good thing because they had only cleared the branches and such on the part of the tree on my side of the line, none of the ones over the property line, which had been discussed. After pointing this out, the crew cleaned up the rest of tree and was ready to go within another hour or so. Everything was cleaned up and the tree looks great.

Tim Murray immediately answered my call and scheduled a time to visit for a quote. He was punctual and offered a lot of input and took note of our needs (a dozen overgrown and neglected palm trees). His quote was absolutely reasonable and lower then another. Despite previously booked jobs and afternoon storms, he was able to schedule us a week earlier then anticipated and arrived as promised. We weren't home when his team worked but we visited later and found the yard to be cleaned up with no sign that tree professionals had been there (except for cleaned up and happy palms). :)

This was a great job by a very professional and clearly qualified arborist. Mr. Murray came promptly when asked, addressed all of my concerns, provided a bid that met my budget, and gave me a very thorough understanding of what needed to be done in order to best manage my oaks. Two of the trees he replanted had been planted too deeply and were suffering the consequences. We are waiting to see if the rescue will work, but given the state they were in, I am satisfied that this was the best route to take. One of those "invisible expenses" that we all hate to make, tree care is vital to the value of our homes. I am satisfied that dealing with Mr. Murray and his very courteous and careful team was worth the cost over and above a "tree guy" that offered to clean things up for less. You get what you pay for.

Tim was very professional and gave a great bid. However, on the day of the job he arrived with his crew, met with us and walked the area then left for the good part of the day. His crew hardly spoke English so communication was difficult. When they dropped the tree it didn't fall where planned and they damaged another tree in it's path. By the time they finished it was after 5 PM and they had been at this tree all day. They appeared exhausted. Included in the price was the trimming of 3 smaller trees, but there was a communication problem as mentioned earlier. They did not trim what we expected. By the time Tim returned we were frustrated and annoyed. He sent his crew back the following morninng to trim another branch and clean up, which they did. Unfortunately, I think the job would have run much smoother had Tim stayed on the job. He appears to really know trees and I think would have done a great job had he been present.

Tim showed up the first meeting and performed an estimate of work which was very reasonable. He was very courteous and listened to what I needed. His team came the 4/17/12 and performed all the tree and shrub trimming and removal process. The second day they trimmed the boxwood and ground all the stumps. They also trimmed the Bird of Paradise. They were timely and accomplished the entire process as stated in their estimate.

They did a great job. And I have never had a better customer service experience anywhere else. The quality of the work is excellent. Staff is courteous, professional, and took great care with what they were doing to ensure nothing else in our yard got damaged. Very cautious and considerate.
