Murray's did a fine job trimming the large live oak tree; and they successfully killed the plant that was overtaking another large oak by cutting a 3 ft swatch around the root system of the overtaking plan--a philodendron I believe. They were punctual, and removed all debris. However, Mr Murray promised to inject the pine tree and was never able, per his report, to get the injection and never injected the tree. He said he would work on it and get back to me. He was also to come back and get paid for trimming a tall palm. I then left multiple phone calls and texts for him to obtain the status of the tree injection--he never returned my calls for about a 6 month period. I have also tried to call him again w/in the last 3 months to follow-up re: pine tree and palm, and to obtain an estimate for new work on another large oak. I left messages twice--none were returned. My major issue w/ Murrays was his lack of courtesy in getting back to me--even if it were to say that he was unable to get the injection for the tree and then to appropriately refer me to another service that could treat the pine tree.

Excellent job, very professional, great price. We chose Tim Murray because of all his awards and he also is a certified Arborist. He pointed out all the dead branches to us and answered all our questions. His crew came with 2 trucks and started immediately. One worker climbed up the tree and the other worker went up in a bucket lift and started trimming. The others secured the area and picked up all the dead branches. One worker went up on the roof and cleaned the gutters and the roof. At the end they shredded all the branches and debris and cleaned and raked everywhere in the yard. My husband and I were very impressed and highly recommend Murray's Tree Service to all our neighbors and friends!

Tim and his crew are very professional. Tim came a few days early to survey the project, explain the hows of the job, and make hid estimate. On the day of the job they were on time, carried out the job safely and exactly as requested. Clean up was thorough. We will definitely use this company in the future.

I have the highest praise for (Tim) Murray's Tree Service. Total Professional. Tree was massive old oak tree that fell on roof..Had to be removed by crane after all other smaller branches removed so it could be removed safely and then hooked up to crane for removal.... I cannot praise him (Tim) enough. He worked with me and explained everything.I highly recommend Tim (Murray's Tree Service)

Tim was able to accomodate us in his schedule in a week;Although we were away on vacation .he assured us that he would finish the job and we could mail him hte check on our return I think that is real good customer service

Met with Tim on Tuesday morning and took him on the tour of our yard. We had several issues with large limbs over the top of our roof that needed to be trimmed back and also two large trees that needed to be removed to make way for a pool that we plan to have installed. Tim quoted us a fair price and he had a crew at my house the same day. What a great group of guys! They came in and got right to work clearing dead limbs and taking down the big tree in the back yard and then the smaller branches that were hanging over the roof. They brought in a wood chipper and cleaned up all the debris. The yard looked very neat when they were done. Then they addressed the large limb hanging over the roof in the front of my house. They performed this task very carefully and professionally. All debris was removed and the yard looks great. I would recommend them to anyone.

I called Murray's tree service after part of a tree was damaged down and fell during a bad storm. Murray was able to come out the same day and made an appt to cut down the tree the very next day ( It was pretty much dead). Unfortunately, I had an emergency the next, day and could not be there, but Murray still removed the tree for me and we arranged payment over the phone. I was very grateful that he was gracious enough to remove the tree without receiving payment first and he and his team did a wonderful job of camouflaging the small stump that was remaining. I would definitely use him again and would recommend his services as well.

I have used this company several times on two different properties. They have trimmed and removed trees. Tim is always fast to respond and come out to give me an estimate. He only does necessary work--not try to sell you something you do not need. He is extremely knowledgeable. His crew is excellent. They clean up completely when they leave. I would highly recommend them to a friend. I would never trust anyone else with my trees!

I hired Murray's tree service to remove 2 large trees and trim 3 trees. Tim and his crew did a great job removing and trimming the trees. His crew was very professional, and cleaned up the area when they were finished. My wife and I are extremely pleased with the results, and would not hesitate to hire Tim in the future.

I contacted Tim about obtaining an estimate for tree removal and he was very prompt. I was very satisfied with the estimate for the service I requested. Obtaining a permit was a slow process, which delayed the removal a couple of days but Tim kept me informed about the permit and was flexible. The day of the service Tim's crew showed up on time and got to work. The crew was very professional and experienced. The equipment being used was in good shape. That morning I talked to Tim about possibly trimming another tree. He said "no problem" and told me how much extra the service was going to cost. It was very fair. The crew completed the job and cleaned up the area. I was very satisfied.

I had a lot of questions about the maple and oak trees in our backyard. Tim is a certified arborist and he explained his recommendations. He gave us a written quote (with the Angie's List discount applied) and a copy of his liability & workman's comp insurance certificate. I contacted the city and after a visit from an inspector was told we would be allowed to remove the maple. Once I had the permit I called Tim and he scheduled the job within a week. As promised, Tim met his crew of 4 men at our house to go over the job. They were all very nice and careful not to drive their big trucks in anyone's yard. Brian and Todd introduced themselves. They set up all their equipment, every man with his specific task, and went right to work. The tree wasn't accessible with a bucket truck so they had to climb it and lower the branches with ropes. In a couple hours the job was finished. The tree was down, the roof and gutters were clean and all the debris was hauled away. They were a great team. They wore hard hats and they each had Bluetooth so they could communicate without yelling. Totally professional from beginning to end with no damage to our property. Best tree service we've had in 32 years. If all businesses were run like this we wouldn't need Angie's List.

They had to respond twice due to equipment failure. They trimmed the Oak tree both times until I was satisfied, the guys on site were professional and very informative to all my questions.

The guys showed up on time and went right to work. Tim was sick that day, but Brian did an excellent job. They even topped the 2 trees next to the Cherry Laurel.

They did very good job, they did the work promptly and I would use them again.

We got three bids to remove a large Brazilian pepper tree, which came with our house when we bought it four years ago. We chose Tim because he was nice, articulate, seemed the most knowledgeable about trees in general, gave us a nice written proposal (including proof of insurance) and because his price was competitive. In addition, he very nicely offered to take down a treehouse in the tree and remove two other small pepper trees in the alley -- all for the same price. I was also concerned about all the ferns and other plants under the tree because I'd spent a lot of time planting and tending to them over the past few years. He assured me they would be careful and not damage any of them. He took a fair amount of time to explain the process to us as well. When the day came, he and his crew arrived right on time and the tree was gone in just over an hour. I really appreciated that they were very careful about raking up the debris, both in my neighbor's yard, where some of it fell, and in my yard. Not a single plant under the tree was damaged, and that took some doing. They even took a blower and blew off the shell paths in my yard, which was way above and beyond what I expected. All in all, it was the extra attention to details that sold us on him, plus the great reviews -- all of them correct -- here on Angie's list.

They did a good job. I would recommend them to others. They also cleaned up the debris afterwards in my neighbors yard and were reasonable with their prices. It was a big tree and was partially over a fence.

The day I called I had an estimate within 1hr of calling and had scheduled the removal the same day. A crew was out within an hour after getting the estimate to remove the tree. They also trimmed another tree in the front yard and blew off leaves from the roof for me since we hadn't met the $500 fee for a discount to apply. That was very generous of them and I would use them again and recommend them to anyone.

We had a large, dying laurel oak in our backyard, and five additional trees at a different location that required removal. Tim arrived when he said he would, and did exactly what he said he would. He performed much of the work himself as well as directing his very well-organized crew. We were very impressed, from beginning to end. The entire job went flawlessly. We are very pleased!

Mr. Murray and his crew did an outstanding job and cleanup. He was very informative about what needed trimming and how the tree would grow in the future. His knowledge of the trees was excellent and I would highly recommend his company to anyone needing tree service. Other neighbors in our area have also used him and are also very complimentary.

When I first called Murrays, Tim Murray returned my call in 15 minutes. We made an appointment and he was right on time. After looking at my trees, five huge live oaks, and giving me a lot of information about the trees, Tim told me exactly where he could make cuts so as to maintain the beauty of the trees and not damage them. On the day work was scheduled, Tim and his crew arrived at 8 o'clock in the morning. They did exactly what was promised. They trimmed the branches away from the roof and cleaned out the two in the yard. It was amazing to watch them move through the trees. These are not amateurs with a pick up truck and a chain saw ! They had all the appropriate equipment and used it skillfully. Also, Tim did not drop off his crew and leave, but stayed and directed the crew the entire time. In addition to trimming the trees, they cut up the larger limbs so that I have firewood to last a couple of years, and they dumped a pile of mulch from the chipper and spread it around. They cleaned up so well and replaced everything they moved that you would never know they had been there. Overall it was a great experience.

Tim is always very professional and knows exactly what to do when it comes to providing the proper trimming to keep trees healthy and growing strong. Tim was very knowledgeable and gave me all the necessary information. I had one tree die and was concerned about another. He responded to me quickly. He took time to review pictures and informed me that the tree was fine. I would definitely use Murray's tree service for any future concerns.

1.My call to their office was returned within 15 minutes and mr.Tim Murray gave me a price just by checking "google Maps" They gave me a reasonable price and scheduled a day to come over.I was a little apprehensive since mr.Murray did not come down to see the tree in question.He reassured me that he would honor the price even if it was the wrong tree ,he saw on google maps: This was most reassuring and he was true to his word.He did keep his word and did a great job trimming the tree Tim & his crew were very professional Thanks Tim and thank you Angie's list once again

Tim came out the day after I called him. We had just purchased a home and had concerns about 2 trees involving their health and proximity to the house. He gave us so much useful information and helped us to decide to remove one and trim the branches on the other that were extending over our roof. We were so relieved, as we thought much more was needed for the largest tree. He also gave us some advice on other plantings in the yard. We scheduled a time for the work. His crew was prompt, professional and did a great job. They cleaned up a large amount of debris and no one would have ever know that the work had been done. Our neighbors were so impressed that they asked for some work to be done as well. We recommend him highly and would absolutely use his services again.
