Old 15 year old trane was replaced with a Rudd AC by Jerry brittingham contractor. It failed in 4 days. They gave us another new AC. It failed with a leak in 10 months. Brittingham refused to replace the 2nd unit. The service manager told us it was a factory defect and if he were in our shoes, he would request a new unit. He gave us an option to fix the 2nd unit or wait to find out if the failed unit would be replaced with a new unit. His words were I would wait if I were you because you know that if I fix this, your chances of getting a new unit are small. So we waited, and they called and said no new unit, we will be there to fix it tomorrow. We will never purchase a Rudd unit again and they should have first fixed our unit and then talked to the managers about getting our new unit. Worse customer service and good luck if you get a Rudd AC.

A technician showed up promptly after our request and a very competitive estimate was provided. All work was performed professionally and with great skill. Jerry Brittingham A/C & Heat Inc. sent out a gentleman, Kevin, for an estimate to install a dryer vent in our laundry closet. We scheduled installation for the next day at a specified time frame. No one showed or called. We called the company and were told that the team was held up on another job. A few hours later, we received a call to reschedule for the following day. D.J. was the lead guy, and he spent several hours trying to think outside-the-box to get this job accomplished. He was very professional and explained to us the various things he was looking at as a possible solution to the issue at hand. D.J. was able to find a solution; he was determined and did not give up. The workers were courteous,even though they worked in extreme heat in the attic. They cleaned up very well after completing the work. We notice a much better flow of air and are well satisfied with the results. We would not hesitate to recommend the company to others.

Jerry Brittingham A/C & Heat Incorporated sent out a team of repair personnel for our beleaguered, but relatively new, air conditioning unit that we had purchased from another company less than 3 years ago. D.J. was the lead guy, and he spent several hours determining what was wrong. Turns out our unit had a rather unusual problem that several repairmen from the other business just could not find; as a result, that other business gave us numerous explanations for why it was not working as well as it had during its first year of operation, but never found the real problem. As a result, we continued to suffer in the summer heat with an A/C unit barely able to produce cool air and certainly not to the level to keep our home environment at a comfortable temperature. D.J. was able to find the problem because he was determined and did not give up. He was very professional and explained to us the various things he was looking at as a possible cause of the problem. He methodically went through every one until he found it. He explained that this company did not charge for the time it takes to diagnose the problem; only the time it takes to repair it once the problem is accurately identified. D.J. and the owner of the company confirmed the cause of the problem and ordered replacement parts, which were still under warranty from the A/C unit manufacturer. A different repair person came out to do the parts replacement. Lastly, the manager came out to verify that the unit was in good working order. wonderful. they removed 2 generations of ducts work as well as an old oil furnace from the attic. they stayed until 11pm to finish up and make sure we didn't suffer without air conditioning. they also found and fixed some code and fire violations that my home inspection company missed or ignored. they were the best price and didn't ask me to wait several months for cooler weather. I had condensation. running down my wall and ruining a ceiling and he understood my concern for a fast repair. they were able to get me in their schedule 5 days later.

They were very nice, professional and I would say trustworthy. They did things other companies balked about and said can't be done. They even took pictures so they could show me the problem since it was in the attic and at a place that was unreachable by me. I wish my homebuyers insurance used them because I really trust them.

Great. Billy Miller showed up on time and was very pleasant and knowledgeable. I have an older R22 system with a gas fired furnace. I was not ready to upgrade the whole system to one that works with the new refrigerant so I asked them just to replace the compressor. Some folks will try to sell you a new system but they did not and found me a good price on a new compressor with a 2 year warranty. They installed it that afternoon and by the evening we had air conditioning back. Which in late June in Florida is a blessing. I called them because the folks who normally do our A/C work had come out and diagnosed the problem. The problem was pretty obvious. The compressor part of the outside unit had shorted to ground and was tripping the breaker. I thought it was locked but the original estimate folks did continuity checks on the compressor windings and found one winding that was shorted to ground. Anyhow the folks I called originally and have used regularly for the last 25 years did not get back to me for a couple days so I looked up Jerry Brittingham on Angies list. What a great find. Now here's what is really impressive. The original folks got back to me after the unit was fixed. Turns out they had a death in the family. When I told them Jerry Brittinghams company had fixed it already they said that was good and they were a great company. This is coming from a major competitor so that to me is a big compliment.

Billy, the serviceman that came to our house, was on time with a smile. He was very professional, installing our wireless thermostat very quickly. He even went the extra mile by programming our phones with the associated programs required to access this system. We have used Jerry Brittingham for all of our HVAC needs for years and always recommend them to our friends. Once again, they came through for us in a timely manner. The prices are very reasonable and the technicians are always friendly, professional, and thorough. As far as contractors go, we feel that he is absolutely #1 in the mid state, maybe the entire state!

My parents are 93 and live on their own. When their A/c stopped working it was very bad for them. This company went out the same day and cleared the drain and inspected the system to be sure everyting was working correctly. I could not be more pleased. The service was exceptional. The price was reasonable, and the technician (John) was as informative as he was helpful.

I called about 2 months ago and the technician came to my condo and quoted me a fair price. I decided to have them do the work. The 2 man crew arrived as scheduled and worked hard most of the day to install the unit. There were a couple of hiccups with my very old unit but they figured things out and completed the job. I was happy with the unit, the techs and the installation.

This company did an excellent job. The old air handler unit inside was a dinosaur and must have weighed a ton. The guys took it out without any problems. The company installed the new air handler units in the attic. A very dark and hot (August in Florida) place with no plywood on the rafters. The units were built up off the floor and look great. New ducting everywhere and the new placement of the vents should really keep the house cool. The outside units look great on the new hurricane pads. This was an extensive job and took a few days. I did not feel like I had to be there to "supervise" anything. These people know their job and I will recommend them to all of my neighbors.

I contacted the company about 10am and they told they could do the job at 4pm. They called back about 11am and said they could make it earlier, about 12- 12:30. Billy showed up right on time and completed the job quickly. He was polite and quite knowledgeable about the thermostat. They accepted the coupon and I would use them again.

I was having issues with my dryer taking excessively long to dry clothes and it wasn't heating up. I was told to have my dryer vents checked, so I called Jerry Brittingham AC & Heat, the office staff was very polite and scheduled an appointment right away for service. The technician arrived at the time they quoted, and was very informative about what he would be doing and the risks associated with a clogged dryer vent. Now my dryer works! It gets nice and warm and takes a fraction of the time to dry my clothes.

Received a visit and a quote on the date I first called. Scheduled install for 3 days later. Showed up on-time, completed the work that day, cleaned up after the work was complete. I'm happy.

I called Mr. Brittinham on a Sunday morning when we awoke to 85 plus degree heat in our home. He said it would be a while before he could come due to other calls he had received. He was at our home within two hours, found the problem almost immediately an d had us cool and comfortable within an hour. The price was lower than I expected to pay on a Sunday and we will certainly call him again whenever our unit needs service or repair.

They removed all of the vent covers and cleaned each one. They vacuumed /cleaned the ducts. They carefully vacuumed the floor beneath the vents to remove any debris that may have fallen out. They cleaned the blower and checked the coil. No mess left behind. We have used them several times. They are honest, reliable and reasonably priced. I wouldn't use anyone else for my air conditioner/heater repairs and maintenance.
