Description of Work: Full Inspection and Diagnosis of problem with Gas Water heater.

Description of Work: The electronic ignitor on our gas cooktop began working intermittently. Called one appliace repair service who refused to come and look at it as they would not do any work on a gas appliance. I called JW Gas Service (Wes Strang) who came out to our house very soon after my call. He looked at the cooktop, performed a quick diagnostic to verify his assesment of the issue. He advised that he would need to get the part the next day and would return to complete the repair.

Description of Work: Our gas hot water heater is somewhat complicated in that it has a forced draft exhaust. The heater stopped working and I called a plumber. Even though I explained our system and what I suspected the problem was they sent out a kid whom I'm not sure was old enough to drive. He took one look at the system and promptly told me he had never seen anything like it and had no idea how to fix it. I then called the gas company and they said they would send some out but it would be about TWO WEEKS! Then they recommended Mr. Strang as he had previously been their service manager. I called Mr. Strang who said he was on another job and would call me when he was on his way. A very short time later he called and said he was on his way and would be here shortly. On his arrival I showed him the HW heater and he apparently was familiar with the system. He promptly fixed it and showed us how to prevent the same problem from recurring. He charged us $70.00 for a service call which we gladly paid.
