Discount Palms and Plants

I spent most of April trying to find lemongrass that was already grown, since I have the opposite of a green thumb; I have trouble keeping plants alive, and I have had Zero success actually growing plants lol! Drove around to several nurseries in the area, and even checked multiple Home Depots and Lowe's. No luck. Finally, it occurred to me to check the List for nurseries, and this was the third one I called. The first two were sold out and had no clue when they might get more in stock. Discount Palms, however, only had one plant, but when I said I needed several, the woman (I'm the worst with names & don't remember hers, sorry!) immediately offered to call up her guy and see if she could get some in for me. She called me back within the hour to let me know that she could, in fact, get the plants in that Friday morning, and she would call me when they arrived. My husband was about to deploy, and I desperately needed his help getting the lemongrass planted in the yard before he left, so I was anxious to get that call on Friday. I didn't hear by 11am, so I called. It rang and rang and no answer. I left a voicemail, but being so anxious, I tried calling again a couple more times, and then at noon decided to just drive down, since GPS said it was only 23 minutes away. Now this is why I gave mostly B's. There were 2 ladies working, and I stood around for ages waiting for assistance. Finally, I was told that the delivery guy should have been there at 10am, and she had no clue where he was. Didn't offer to call him to get an ETA or anything. Just said he would be there anytime. So I stood there and waited for 40 minutes. All I ever got from either of the ladies during that time was "Sorry, I'll be with you shortly," but that never happened. I am hypersensitive to sun, so by the time 40 minutes passed, I was sweating through all my clothes and felt like I was on fire. I was too uncomfortable, so I left. After I was home and had a couple hours to cool down and calm down, I tried calling Discount Palm again. No answer, so I left another voicemail. Later, after hours, the woman called back, apologized for earlier, and told me the lemongrass had arrived, and I could come by first thing the next morning. So first thing Saturday, we went by and purchased 9 of the plants. They were $16 a piece, which was more than I was expecting, but I hadn't thought to ask the price beforehand, and I was so relieved to have finally found the lemongrass, so I didn't mind too much. And the one A that I gave for quality should really be an A+++, because even despite my lack of a green thumb, and the dry spring and late start to rainy season, every single one of those plants is still alive and thriving! So despite the slight headache of getting the plants, I'm incredibly pleased with them :-)

We stopped at their business location and showed a picture of where we would like to plant a palm tree. They asked questions to help determine which would be best in that area (replacing a palm tree). We looked at our choices and chose the one we liked. They said they could install the tree in a couple hours. They came to do the job and gave advice about some of our other plants while they were there. Tree looks great - already received compliments from neighbors.
